Tammie | 11 comments Hello, I am looking for a book. I do not remember much of it but the h and H meet at a party or bar and go to bed together that night. He is upset that he slept with a married woman when he sees her ring. Her husband is dead and I think this is their anniversary or the anniversary of his death. I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

Alloe | 14 comments Hi, I would be so grateful if you could please help find this book I'm looking for, I've tried to find it but it's driving me nuts that i can't lol! :)

So from what I remember what basically what went down is that the h is a housekeeper (i think? lol) and the H is her boss. They have a ONS and I think she leaves? She ends up pregnant and she returns to the H to tell him she is but he thinks he is not the father of her baby because he can't remember Doing the Deed. This was because he was in accident or something afterwards and he can't remember anything from that time frame[amnesia basically] (including playing Hide the Salami with her) and thinks she is lying and that he is not the father of her baby.

(It also might've been holiday themed but I'm not 100% sure.)

Thank you so much!

The Pregnancy Shock
(The Drakos Baby #1)
by Lynne Graham :

message 4259: by Se (new)

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments The Pregnancy Shock (above) is a two part. She doesn't tell him he's the father, however he does marry her. Part two A Stormy Greek Marriage is when H finds out that the baby is his.

The Consequence He Must Claim is a similar story, where the h is involved in a baby swap saga and the H is contacted about being the father of her child.

Don't you just love amnesia stories?

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments Looking for a HP, possibly after year 2000. H meets h in a club where she works, I think and gives her a ride home. She is married still living with but separated from her deadbeat husband.

H spends the night on the couch and the I remember a fight between the h's estranged husband and the H. H gets h a job working in one of his companies but doesn't tell her - the job came with an apartment. I remember she had no furniture in the apartment and they split up when h found out that H had gotten her the job.

SOLVED - The Greek Tycoon's Secret Child

Still looking for this one
Other HP which is older. All I remember is the h lived in an all white apartment. Every item of furniture was also white.

Reader | 2 comments Help! I have read this HB many many years ago. The heroine is traveling by car through the outback where she finds the heros housekeeper. The housekeeper just had an accident, breaks her leg and cant work for a while and the heroine offers to stay and help out. Other details I remember are, there is shearing of the sheep, the housekeeper is writing a book about the Maori language, they go to a horse competition they go to, and there are the heros sisters kids staying for vacation.

message 4263: by Qriswu (new)

Qriswu | 4 comments Hey I'm looking for a harlequin novel romance, I remember the h and the H have been friends for a long time, the H has been in love with the h for ages but unrequited. the h also gave her virginity to the H when they were younger bc she felt sorry for him after she found out his friends were ragging on him for being a virgin. She also uses the H. The bulk of the story is about her asking him to pretend they're dating for her mother who may or may not be sick(?) and the H finally putting his foot down. The h stays in the H's apartment for the duration of the mother's visit (i think?). Sorry if I'm not specific enough, my memory is quite vague.

Also there's there's this other novel I forgot the name of where the h was married to the H's brother (the h and the H some sort of thing going on before she got married to his brother), at the beginning of the book the h becomes a widow and we find out that she was only a beard for the H's brother because he was actually gay and they were living together in a house with his gay lover. The H doesn't know until the near end and is angry and jealous of the h for most of the book bc he loves her.

Thanks in advance <3

JB (bookjo) | 10 comments I am insanely curious, especially of those of you who routinely help provide answers in this thread. With literally thousands of titles out there, HOW do you find or remember books to suggest? Do you literally recall titles of all books you read? Do you have tips for searching? It’s really impressive.

message 4268: by Mona (new)

Mona | 34 comments Hi you can remember the topic for the book and then you can search about it and some sites provide you with hero or heroine names like that

message 4269: by Se (new)

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments I search on my kindle but need something to search on. eg. heroine called Anna would be common but something else people remember might be the key eg. hero called Rafe. I also use FictionDB Search, which searches on synopsis (eg. looking for hero with scars), you can narrow down by only searching Harlequin, and narrow down further by looking for Harlequin Presents. Eyeonromance allows character search.

In saying all that, I've read Harlequins for 35 years, some stand out and are easy to remember. I am hopeless remembering names but will remember lots of story details. I think certain writers have styles that make books easy to ID.

The main "gurus" on this site, keep lists, something I tried to do but failed miserably. I am in awe of many of the regular sleuths here!

message 4270: by crazy1bad (new)

crazy1bad | 102 comments Pls help to find this one. The h comes from rich family but now they are bankrupt. The heroes went to same school for rich kids. The h was the most popular girl and hated the H, I think he even was bullied by other rich kids. He was poor then but became rich and hired the now poor h to teach him manners before some event.

Ps. the h lost virginity with H when they did some school work. He was surprised because of the h's reputation.

TANI - I do recall a book that starts with hero finding heroine - after she was assaulted in the sand dunes at a beach. I think hero helped her, giving her his shirt or something - he did not attack her though. My best guess would be 90's, maybe early 00's

Do you have the link to where you read about it?

Qriswu | 4 comments Hey guys,

I'm having trouble remembering a book where the h and the H have been married for a while but have been living apart and i don't think they've consumated their marriage(?). I think the novel opens with the husband (H) coming for the first time in ages and he goes into his wife's (h) room but she kicks him out.

I think I remember that the h is hiding the fact that she is artist from her husband and there is another male who likes her (I think the OM is also in the art industry as well). Ialso think the OM tried to seduce her one night but she put a stop to it. Sorry if the details aren't very specific, I don't remember much else.

Thanks in advance! :)

I’m looking for this harlequin book I read a long time ago from what I remember it was about an Arab prince/sultan he had 2 maybe 3 kids and somehow got a nanny for them she was English. She became really close to the kids Even though they only spoke Arabic the little boy would tell his father that he wanted the nanny to be his mommy. That’s all I remember. Please help if you can!

Darlene (darduck) | 8 comments going crazy here.... my kindle has almost 2,000 books on it.... I had just opened up a "harlequin treasury" book which had a prologue before chapter one. Heroine was "gyspy Rosa" at the village fete/fair, because her sister (who was supposed to be the "gypsy" and had done it for years before, woke up with the flu that day.

Tall, dark, handsome hero walks into the fortune telling tent....

I got interrupted and shut down web kindle.... and NOW can't find which book it is, but I was already hooked in just the first five prologue chapter.... I opened the e-book blind, so I don't even know the main plot, author, or title.

Anyone?

This is an older HP at least 30 years ago; a much older man who, I think sleeps with the h and she finds out he was married. She never wants to see him again. He has a wife but she is sick (coma or something). His wife dies and I do not remember if he hunts her down or just finds her. She is super mean to him. She makes him suffer greatly until he just has enough. It does work out and she does love him but she is so bitter and angry. I did try to find it but was unable to find.

message 4295: by Brenna (last edited Feb 27, 2020 09:26AM) (new)

Brenna | 8 comments The book I remember has the heroine working at a garden/plant nursery or some sort of landscaping business. I believe she lived in a tiny flat above the shop separate from her family. There might have been an not-so-nice stepmom. The plot has the heroine becoming the mistress of the hero to help her family.

I'm almost 90% positive that the book I'm looking for is The Italian's Inexperienced Mistress. The details I've mentioned above match this book. However, when I skimmed through it, it seemed different somehow.

For example, I thought I remembered that the H and h had known each other or actually been with each other in the past. In Italian's Inexperienced Mistress, they briefly meet but don't know each others identities. Also, I thought there was a scene where she comes back to the tiny flat at some point. And either they reconcile there or hero remarks on how small it is compared to all he's given her.

So basically, does anyone know of any Harlequin Presents/Mills and Boon that are very similar to Italian's Inexperienced Mistress in terms of heroine's occupation and her becoming a mistress to help her family?

I posted this query once a few months ago. Someone suggested The Notorious Gabriel Díaz but that wasn’t it

Rafaello's Mistress sort of fits this description...H and h had a past relationship before a meddling relative broke them up. They meet again several years later and the h becomes H’s mistress to save her brother. The rest of the book doesn't exactly match your description, but the h's father is a gardener and there's a woman who's about to become the h's step-mother.

Rosalyn | 8 comments Looking for a Harlequin Presents where heroine's father/grandfather forces her to marry the wealthy/tycoon/probably Greek hero. I don't think the heroine and her father/grandfather were on good terms.

I can't remember for sure but I have the feeling heroine might have had a limp or some other physical disability/disfigurement. But like I said, not 100% about that. Sorry I know that's not so much to go on

The book is definitely NOT:
Sale Or Return Bride
The Price of a Bride
The Cozakis Bride
