Help! I can't remember the name of this book...

There's an amnesia shelf here on goodreads
https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/8...

Shoot, there is an HP where the first wife sets up her young cousin to have sex with the H. The heroine has twins which are adopted by the H and his first wife. The heroine goes on to have a career as a model. Australia setting I believe. I can't remember the title.

Vintage is the one you are thinking of Element of Risk — Robyn Donald

The H hates the h for some reason. I think it has to do with her sleeping with another man (maybe the H's brother or a married man, I'm not too sure). I do know the H hates her but wants to sleep with her. The h won't sleep with him because she knows that the H doesn't like her.
The one scene I remember clearly is towards the end.The hero is buying a house for the heroine because he thinks she is holding out for some kind of commitment (gold-digger probably). She thinks it is for them to live in together after they get married. They are out looking at houses to buy together. The h knows that the H doesn't love her and thinks poorly of her but is marrying her to get her into bed. She's hoping to change his mind once they are married. She mentions something about marriage and he gets mad and tells her he will never marry her because of the something i cant remember. He was getting the house for her to live in as his mistress. But he is so disgusted by her thinking that he would marry her that he leaves. She's upset. And then something happens where he finds out that she isn't a horrible slut or whatever it is that he thinks about her and he comes back for her.
I think it is an older one because the H and h do not sleep together until the HEA in the end.
That's all i remember, i'm afraid. I hope someone can help me find this one because it has been driving me crazy for years. I'm starting to think I imagined it. :(

Ugh. That's the one. It would be Robyn Donald. I figured it was either her or Anne Mather.
Thanks

Oh no, now I have the Platters song stuck in my head. Oh well, it's a good one.

I didn't remember a woman in the Platters? tyvm now I have other Platters songs in my head

Was it set in Sydney? I remember something similar, was a two or three series. Maybe Miranda Lee or Emma Darcy?

It turns out that the H and h knew each other in university but the h was shy and she noticed the H but the H never noticed her. He didn't recognise her initially, but eventually he did a while after they get together. In one scene he accuses her of not being able to commit to anything because she lives in a trailer and he thinks she'll leave him because all her worldly possessions are in the trailer or moving house van or whatever it was.
This is driving me crazy, please help!!

You say observatory, can you be more specific? Do you mean somewhere you go with large telescope to observe planets? Was it set in USA? Any idea on their occupations. When did you read it?

THE DIAKOS BABY SCANDAL

They meet some years later at the same hotel where she works and has a son.
Please tell me the title of the book

Hi Tani it might be this one. An Heir for the Millionaire: The Greek and the Single Mom / The Millionaire's Contract Bride : The Greek And The Single Mom by Julia James. One of my HP favorites. Great story, I've read it several times.

If anyone knows this book, I would be most grateful. Thank you ahead of time!

To Have and to Hold by Sally Wentworth

Part-Time Father Sharon Kendrick

Tani, could the book you are looking for be called The Greek and the Single Mom by Julia James An Heir for the Millionaire: The Greek and the Single Mom / The Millionaire's Contract Bride?

1 Heroined works in a school and has a really smart boy around 4 - 7 years old I think.
2 The mother of the Hero saw the baby boy and immediately knew that it is his son's child.
3 I am not sure if it was really the Hero's child or his brother/ or it was the Heroine's sister. I cant remember.
Thank you so much in advance!

That was my vote too.

This one is similar'ish missing the H's mother though. The Greek Tycoon's Secret Heir
There is another one I was thinking of where the H's sister saw the h somewhere with the H's child and I recall another one where the H's friend saw the h with H doppelganger child.
Do you remember anything else?

Hey! I think I read around 2010? And yes a place where you can see the stars indoors idk if I'm using the right word for it like one of those in building displays of space which school trips usually go to. I think the heroine worked there.
The hero was a rich kid, no idea what his job was except he was being either encouraged or was already engaged to someone his parents picked.
Yeah it was set in America.

planetarium or observatory, I guess it depends what country you're in. I can't think of one I've read that has that setting unless it was a superromance

Kristin, Could it be Her Singapore Fling By Kelly Hunter?

I remember reading that book and wondering WTH a dojo was. KH is awesome. She seems to float in and out of Harlequin which I find a bit odd - will release a series then they will appear, with name changes later on - like one of the Maya(s)

Dating the Rebel Tycoon by Ally Blake

The 2nd book, I don't think it is a harlequin book but I am not sure where to post this. It is a Regency book. The H marries the wrong twin because they switched places. The H is a duke. The h tells the H she is pregnant after he finds out about the switch.

I think book one is The Trophy Wife

It's okay thanks for trying!!

OH MY GOSH! THANKS THAT'S EXACTLY IT!!!! I've been looking for so long! Thanks again I can't say it enough...

The hero likes playing cards and has a mother who does a lot of charity work. He likes the heoine but runs away in the end, because he did not want to be seen as a gold digger as she is more wealthy than he is, and he leaves her with a small piece of jewellery of some kind in the shape of a card. What specific card was significant to their relationship.
They reunited later as he now had come into an inheritance and therefore they were of more equal wealth so now he was comfortable.
Now I feel like I've written a whole essay on the subject. Hope you all can help me find this again.

Glad I could help! Happy Reading :)

She is awesome! I remembered the word dojo but not how to spell it, it was one of the terms I used in my search but I spelled it wrong lol. I had to google it the first time I read the book!

Doesn't match your description exactly, as some of the details are wrong, but I think the book your looking for might be Second Chances by Lauren Dane

Yes it's the one thank you, but i confess to no having read the entire book . i skipped a lot through it for it wasn't to my liking. but i liked the fact that for once the heroine truly moved on.

The hero owns racehorses and they are supposedly the best. The heroine loves horses and basically sp..."
I'm pretty sure you're looking for Bella and the Merciless Sheikh. One of the reviews mentions a lot of what you said in your posts.
Other possibilities: The Virgin's Debt to Pay by Abby Green, Outsider by Sara Craven, The Spaniard's Untouched Bride by Maisey Yates

I read a book many years ago. the h tries to get out being blackmailed to be H mistress by cooking with chives - he is allergic and later pretending to have a back injury.
Thanks for any help

Hello, if anyone can help me find this book I’d be very grateful.
I think it was a ‘blackmailed into marriage by billionaire tycoon’ type of story. H is very antagonistic towards the h but wants to get her pregnant for (reasons.) One morning he comes across her throwing up in the bathroom and coldly asks if she’s pregnant yet. The h is actually thrilled about the pregnancy, but soon gets upset when she sees how coldly the H is acting. She has an emotional breakdown and another member of the household rushes in to comfort her. The H is remorseful for the way he acted and later apologizes to the h, also confessing his love for her.
I can’t remember any other details except that the bathroom scene takes place towards the end of the book.

Could be. I have read quite a few of Susan Napier's titles. I just can't remember the dog everyone is mentioning! Thanks though, it could be it, I'll check it out and let you know. :)
