Just bought the Kindle Edition on Amazon! This is it! Now I just have no idea how I ever read it in the first place, since I didn't own the e-book and I'm number 86 on the OpenLibrary waitlist...
Okay, I want to kick myself, but last week I was searching for books here, and came across a description of one where the H married the h over a bet or wager, now I "think" it was set in modern times, she founds out if I remember the summary, leaves him and he has to try to win her back. I don't know the names of the characters or anything, but I think the cover had a lot of red on it and I think it was like 90's area.

I am looking for a book where at the start of it a couple just got married and the bride overhears the groom say something bad about marrying her (can't recall those details) to his close friend. She decides to escape and sneaks off quickly without a word. Can you help me find this book?

Hallo, I am looking for a book where the h is doing a roadtrip in New Zealand. While on this roadtrip she finds a lady that just had an accident were she fell from her bike and the h offers to help her by doing her job which is being housemaid to the H. She becomes his housemaid and they fall in love and they go to a horseshow, they babysit his sisters kids i think and the heroine and the older woman talk a lot about maori people, culture and translation of the language.I really hope someone can help me with the name of this book.
i rememer only a few vague scenes from a plot. please find it for me. It was a revenge plot of some sort. H marries h because of some embezzlement which was done by her father and brother (step probably). her brother was using her. i think he was forcing her to do something bad and she probably did not know about H's intentions behind the marriage. I remember the last scene where heroin walks out on him and he realizes his love for her and goes to find her. But then he just knew she will be returning to their home (on some island maybe) and she cant go anywhere else because she also loves him.
Does this make any sense?
H is daughter of a wealthy man, but pretends to be poor. I think the father has a factory that mass produces inexpensive watches. h is very cruel. He wins her back by proposing to her while wearing a suit of armor. help please!!!!!

Thanks St. Margaret, that was the book. Here is another one: the h is jilted at the altar by the H. That’s right — it wasn’t a jerk OM. h is in her gown, guests are in their seats, and H is a no-show. The reason? Revenge. Somehow, he later convinces her to marry him in a small private ceremony, but I can’t remember how he does this. It’s driving me crazy, I can’t remember anything else.

I am looking for a Harlequin presents where heroine is blackmailed and has to go to child's father for the money. He does not know about his son and I do not think she tells him. She just tells him she needs money. He wants her to live with him for several weeks (I think it is two weeks) before he gives her the money and is shocked when he finds out about his child. I can not remember if she tells him it is blackmail money or not. I remember the person blackmailing wants to kidnap her child because he knows the hero is the father. Can someone please help me?? I think he was Italian also.

looking for a romance book. domt remember much about it. hero have a girlfriend/ fiancee. but something happen to him and his girlfriend/fiancee doesn't want to be with him anymore so that's when the heroine comes in and take care of the hero. I think it's a harlequin book.
Could it be Secretary Wife by Rachel Lindsay? This is a somewhat familiar trope so there may be other suggestions, but this book does fit your question.
Looking for the following books. Unfortunately I cannot remember much of the books other than they're vintage HPs --eighties onward-- I think and can remember only one scene from each book.Book 1 -- I only remember the end scene where the hero-heroine have parted and hero traces her to a school where she is a teacher (I think). All I remember is she's pregnant and is in the playground with kids who ask her if they can touch her pregnant belly. They form a line as one by one touch her belly and suddenly the hero is next in line and he says, "May I touch too?"
Book 2 -- The hero is blind and his GF or fiancee, who is sister of h (or twin??) leaves him and heroine doesn't want him hurt because she was in love with him, so she pretends to be her sister and stays to take care of him and he senses the change in the sisters. I think he recovers his eyesight in between and tests the heroine's reaction. I remember the two of them in the lawn having refreshments and he's watching her reaction. Or was there a snake on the lawn and he sees it and she doesn't? Gosh, I think I'm muddling up. All I know something significant happened on that lawn and one was blind and watching the other's reaction.
Would be nice if someone helps me find these books.

Edited: I thought book 2 where heroine takes the place of her twin is Second-best bride Margaret Rome.
There is a scene in the book where the heroine sees her mean twin going to the blind hero when he's on the terrace (H-h are married) and when she kisses him, he pulls her on to his lap and kisses her back which makes heroine believe her sister's lie that he's still in love with her twin. The hero actually kissed the twin because she was wearing the perfume he gave the heroine and thinks he's kissing his wife.
However, the book i'm looking for the hero doesn't know the heroine has taken the place of his GF/Fiancee who left him when he became blind (unlike second-best bride where hero knows). There's a possibility that heroine and OW may not be twins, may not be even sisters. The hero keeps getting the feeling the woman with him is not his GF/Finacee then when he gets his eyesight back, he realizes why.
Moreover, the scene I have in mind is of them both sitting facing each other and hero deliberately does or says nice things to her as his GF/Fianacee, something on the lines of praising or thanking her for being there for him and heroine is hurting because she's fallen in love with him and feels he's saying it all for the OW and doesn't know he can see her expressions. Furthermore, my gut feel says something dramatic also happens there, can't remember what really --don't know why I have this feeling it was a snake-- something that makes the hero jump to her rescue making her realize he can see.
Nevertheless, what I distinctly remember is them sitting facing each other and her hurt in response to his action.
Would really appreciate it if anyone knows the name of this book.
I am searching for a book where h is suffering from vaginismus, involuntary muscle contraction of vagina during penetration. At first h maintains her distance from H, he misunderstands her blah blah. But once he knows her problem, he helps her heal , they kind of use some vaginal dilators. He was exceptional . I still remember praising him again and again in a review I wrote somewhere, just cant remember where !

All I can remember is the ending. After the H & H sort out their differences, the hero organizes the wedding reception. I think he decorates everything based on a card/postcard/picture that the heroine kept. I've searched for every variation of wedding theme, wedding decoration and had no success. *This always happens to me, I obsess over one part of a book and want to re-read it. Sometimes I search for months - lol Hopefully rings a bell with someone.
*It's not Helen Brooks - one of her books has a similar ending.

I'm looking for a book where a young woman (young 20s? around the time the book starts) is wanting to start a business but to get what she believes is her money to start the business she has to go home and face the husband she married and left as a teenager. They had never consummated the marriage and she ran off and left him when she caught him cheating. Come to find out she doesn't actually have any money. Thanks in advance!
