Christina, but with tea (steepedinbooks) | 28 comments Looking for a 90s Silhouette (striped cover) where the h and H are best friends. One of them has a trio of single aunts. The heroine wants to have a baby so she asks the H if he would donate. They come to an agreement, get everything set up at the clinic, but he decides at the last minute that he'd rather do it "the old fashioned way". She agrees, they have lots of sex, and eventually there's love and a baby. The end. The part that stands out the most is when she's asking him if he would be her sperm donor - they are in the kitchen I think and he offers her some food and because she's so nervous, instead of saying "I'd love some", she says "I'd love some sperm". lol

Angy (goodreadscomuser_angy) | 36 comments Hi everyone. I am looking for a book.So the story goes like this.H's father is having an affair with h's mother(she's is his mistress). H thinks h is a harlot like her mother and lets her know so when she visits his villa. After few years when the h grows up into a beautiful swan and meets H at some party, H doesn't recognize h but is smitten with her and h also doesn't disclose her identity to him. they have an affair. When h's mother and H's father find them together in compromising position. H brutally rejects h.

years after this h approaches H with an offer of marraige against the return of H's family heirloom that h's mother had in possession. h is doing all this to patronise her ailing mother coz her last wish is to see h married to H.

I have been looking for this book for so long now. but couldn't remeber the title.

Fanniny Moreno Zavaleta | 99 comments Hi, it's me again, apparently my shelving system is useless so... I'm looking for a book from 2000 to 2016.
(The italics are my suppositions).

The h is working for the H. Some evil wanna-be-OW sends the h to work in the basement where there's practically no light (one bulb only, why I remember it? It beats me). The H finds the h and is appalled by her work conditions, things get steamy on her desk but they are interrupted by someone visiting the h(?) and the H is even more appalled because he doesn't do things like that.

I know it's just a scene to go by but hope it rings a bell. Thanks in advance.

Vintage (vintagesedona) | 312 comments Shoot. I recall one, Lynne Graham I think, where the heroine was in the basement filing. Was she an ex-con?

Was it Unlocking her Innocence? The h was supposedly responsible for the death of the hero's little brother and she had the family from hades.

Nope, I read that one last week and that's how I remembered I've read a similar scene before so I'm searching for that other book. But thanks anyway V 😎.

I *think* the h made a friend, the H's bodyguard/chauffeur (?). Or maybe that was another book...

Cancel it all, I found it 😅. Vintage gave me the idea because it was another LG, The Contaxis Baby.
A lot similar (?) the h is responsible for the H's half brother suicide. They weren't interrupted -ahem- they had barely finished when the wanna-be-OW knocks on the door and there was a security guard near her basement office, she didn't befriend him though (as far as my scanning went).
Thanks for the help 😊

Hi. Many thanks for your suggestion. Kinda similar, but not the same book. H is aware that they have to make a baby, unlike in this one. I am beginning to think it may not be an HP book. Maybe one of these authors went indie and published it, i don't know... Huge thanks anyway.

message 2728: by Se (last edited Jul 09, 2017 02:57AM) (new)

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments I've been looking for this book for ages and really don't have much to go on.

Year - 2001+
Setting - Europe and ?

Heroine is together with Hero maybe blackmail, not sure. She has no money because her parents (either mum and step-father or father and step-mother) spent all of her money. I think heroine was either a model or actress.

The main scene I recall near end of the book, the hero finds out where the heroine's parents are and she flies there. When she goes inside she sees pieces of furniture and pictures etc that they had told her had all been sold. Step-father/father was involved in shonky real estate investments, I think. Heroine confronts her parents and they say that since she's got a new rich man, why does she care about the money. She runs out of their home, hero is waiting outside in limo to console her.

Have run out of ideas to find this one. Anyone?

I re-read Too Hot to Handle about a year ago. On the same subject, what was the one where the heroine worked as a tour manager for the band? I think hero was the lead singer.

I just can't remember the name or author of this regency romance book I read probably years ago.
All I remember are a few vague details like the hero's name is Jack or Jonathan. The H fights his attraction with h because the h is unlike other girls who are timid and obedient. She is a little hardheaded and has an adventurous streak. If I'm not wrong, the h is an orphan but has few remaining relatives that are interested in her fortune that hre trying to cause her harm.
I also remember a scene where, on the way to Church, the heroine along with her maid were walking in the woods and stumbled upon a bear/foothold trap or something. Luckily, only the dress of the heroine is caught. Her maid rush to ask for help at the church and found the H. The H thought that the h was seriously wounded when he came into her rescue. He was a little angry at first because of the h's recklessness but this incident made the H thinks about his feelings to the h.
Hope somebody could help. Thank you!!

P (paolamhc8) | 6 comments Hi Everyone! ok, this is one sort of difficult, but I;m looking for an old harlequin presents book, late 80's early 90's. The H is a journalist who is the neighbor of the h. think she has a child and they get married. He disappears on assignment while h is pregnant. He reappears one day and the h has already had the baby. It ends with them watching the news on tv about the H and what he went through.

any ideas?
