Help! I can't remember the name of this book...

Hello,
No its not Valley of the Vapours :(..I just went through its synopsis and reviews...its not it..... The hero of the book I mentioned was not alpha type...he was very sweet and so was the heroine....they get married because of the heroine's father's will, which was read after he died. They met for the first time at the will reading. The heroine lived with her father in the mountains in a log cabin I think. She was sheltered all her life and studied at boarding school....little experience of boys and men.....
I think the hero was a researcher or sorts and he needed the heroine's father's study papers which was only accessible by marriage (but I am not sure). There was also jealous and evil OW.."
Marriage to a Stranger by Dorothy Phillips aka Dorothy Garlock
MtaS is also included in this one Dreamkeepers

Yes, Yes yes..this is the one...I borrowed this book Dreamkeepers from my local library really long time back....I really loved this story and the author's writing style and thought of looking up more of her writings later on....but then forgot her name.
Thank you so much! you are the best!

2) Harelequin present, hero and heroine married because they had boy (4-5 years) and something about the baby being alone or something made him lonely or something and heroine is trying to have another baby and hero is not happy about it.
please help me to fine this books. thank you.

1. Heroine called her father Dan or Don for some reason (instead of Dad). I believe he died in a boating accident or something. Heroine was devastated, wrote about it in her diary (hero may have read it at some point, not sure). Hero thinks "Dan or Don" was her lover.
2. Heroine thinks she's pregnant by the Hero and has a male friend who's training to be a doctor examine her alone. Hero walks in and thinks the worst. This may have been a second chance/secret baby story.
3. (This may or may not have been an HP). Heroine falls for a guy named Marcus. Angst happens, they break up. Heroine becomes blind, meets and falls for a guy named Allan. Finds out Allan is actually Marcus. There may have been some amnesia thrown in there somewhere as well. It's possible I have this backwards and she was blind in the beginning but regained her sight after the breakup with Marcus (Allan).

Book three is The Light Within by Yvonne Whittal, my favorite by her (so far).

Midnight Lover by Charlotte Lamb - but it is her stepfather and almost fiance she hides it from.

Ordered it. Thanks.

Heroine moves on to another temp job, this time at an author's beach house. She runs into Colin again and also meets Alan, a guy who's a bit more of a free spirit (he plays the guitar). The contrast between Colin and Alan is quite stark, but the heroine can't get Colin out of her head.
Later on, the heroine takes another temp job at an office, but the situation is really shady. The place gets raided by police and she's taken in along with everyone else. It takes awhile before she convinces the police that she was just the temp. She sees Colin and feels humiliated and worried that he might think she had really done something wrong. She doesn't think he saw her, but he did. Later, he turns up at her apartment, they talk, and happy ever after.
Side note: The other women in his office make fun of Colin behind his back a bit because his name is Colin Cary Something-Else-That-Starts-With-A-"C".
Sorry that was so long, but this one has eluded me for years. I hope someone can help.

Eye of Heaven Michele Reid

This is it. Thank you so much.

Happy reading!

The book I am looking for is similar but the Hero gives the h some type of temporary ring. He may have even weaved it out of jungle plant. The ring is supposed to represent his love for her. When they reach safety the father and boy friend of the h are there waiting for her. When she sees them she panics and slides off the promise ring before they see it. Hero sees her do that and assumes that means she never felt anything for him. Does that sound familiar?

Sorry Serena - I will poke around some more.

Excellent ! Thank you.

How long ago did you read this? Was it a paperback and do you remember where it was set?

I believe it's between the late 1990 and early 2000 maybe in New Zealand or London

I have gone through all the Harlequin Presents listed in that time period but there are several with "jungle adventure" themes and I don't recognize the one I am looking for.
Thanks.

Yes! It's From Dirt to Diamonds!

I'm not sure. I binged on so many older Harlequins when I was younger because my library didn't do a massive purge of their romance shelves until I graduated high school. They ran out of room so they got rid of the older category romances. Too bad or I could've perused their shelves to find it. :(

80's, 90's, 00's or recent?

i think maybe late 90's or early 00's

Sorry, sounds vaguely familiar but I don't know it. Sounds like it could be style of Miranda Lee or Emma Darcy, possibly Helen Biachin.

There was a subplot in it about Deanna's ex-husband who had married her cousin after cheating on her. I remember it ends with Deanna and Marc helping Deanna's cousin get to the hospital to have her baby.
The cover had the heroine with reddish hair and there's a dark forest/landscape in the background. Blue/Purple background. Contemporary setting, I believe written in the 90s.

Beyond Fantasy Billie Douglass aka Barbara Delinsky

Hi, looking for what I think was an HP from the 90s. The heroine and the hero are in a very bad car wreck and the heroine is thrown from the car, then pinned beneath the body of the vehicle when it rolled on top of her legs. She is somewhat conscious during this. I remember later in the story the hero is horrified to find out that she was awake. Both the hero and heroine have injuries that take time to heal. During that time, they don't have much, if any, contact. They finally do meet again and everything is resolved. The heroine might have been using a cane at that time and attending physical therapy.

Sounds a bit like One Christmas Night in Venice by Jane Porter, however that is only a few years old. One of my favourite HP books ever!

Nope, that's definitely not it. Thanks though!

The hero is rich and his mistress which is the heroine are living together, however the heroine thinks they are boyfriend and girlfriend, she gets Pregnant he freaks out, she runs away and gets into an accident (run over by a car maybe?) in the hospital the doctors said that she miscarriage, the hero feels sad and guilty (I think), she runs away and discovers that she is still pregnant.
I don't remember much afterwards, I think that some time passes and she sees the hero again? I don't really know
If anyone knows the title I will appreciate it immensely .

This is embarrassing as I thought I had reviewed this book.
The h is on her way to visit a friend of the family when her car breaks down. The H rescues her as the family friend is his mother. She's the typical sweet h in over her head. The H starts dating and gets engaged because he knows it's time, she's from the right family and his mama likes her.
The h is thrilled until she figures out she's just a place holder so breaks it off. By now, stupid fool, he is besotted but doensn't know it so asks her to his cocktail party where she is a success. By the way, she owns a florist.
Bottom line he chases her to the country,
Sound familiar?
I checked out "Italian", "Virgin" but found nothing.
Boogenhagen?

Hurray! Wanda totally knew this one. :P

No wonder I couldn't find it without Italian, virgin, mistress etc; it actually has a real title.
Time for a re-read.

Can anyone help me out?
