I think I answered that one - top of page. Forgiven but not Forgotten by Abby Green. Heroine lived a pampered and spoiled life and genuinely didn't know how to use the oven. She was too embarrassed to tell the hero so told him that she couldn't be bothered. Later on, he heard her asking the housekeeper how to use it.

Many harlequins heroes "black out with the most intense orgasm of their lives" -- the expression sometimes used is "la petite mort"

Any more details?

It happens in this Abby Green book.

I just read that in Abby Green's Ruthlessly Bedded, Forcibly Wedded. Must be one of her favorite tropes. :)

The Ultimate Betrayal by Michelle Reid. Although the OW is a lawyer in this one. There are several others with the same trope but this one has the no one knows he is married at work part.

Not at the moment, I mis-read your original post and thought you said sisters (there are a few books with surrogacy sisters).

In Securing the Greek's Legacy the hero's grandfather uncovers that Lyn is not the mother of the baby, she is the step-sister and no blood relation. How old do you think this book is?

The Boss's Baby Affair is also a surrogate who ends up being the biological mother of the baby. She is working for the hero as a nanny to stay close to her child.

List of harlequin surrogacy books here
https://www.amazon.com/forum/romance/...

I think something wrong with this thread, as I keep seeing multiple listings for the same request.

Caitlin | 10 comments Hello!
I'm hoping someone can help me with the titles for 2 different Harlequin Presents books. I believe they are from the early 2000s.

Book 1) All I can remember about this one is the Hero and Heroine knew each other in school. The hero's family was poor and I think the heroine lived with her grandfather. The grandfather planted something in the hero's school locker to make the heroine essentially turn her back on him. They meet years later and I think he bought her former house and hires her to cook for him.

Book 2) I believe it was a desert themed book. I think the Heroine wanted a divorce but the Hero didn't want it. Think they had to be a part for 5 years or something before a divorce would be granted. I think they might get stuck in a sandstorm too. Hero also has a falcon that he ends up losing shortly before he thinks he's lost the heroine.

Thanks anyone who can help!! :) :)

message 2526: by ANA (new)

ANA | 64 comments There was a character from Emma Darcy's, "The Shining of Love" name Danica Fairlie, who was jilted by the H. Didn't she end up in a later novel where she was the h? The story went something like this: she goes to the outback and falls for a ranch owner who is at first contemptuous of her for being pretentious (or something like that).

message 2527: by Se (new)

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments Emma Darcy is a pseudonym for Wendy and Frank Brennan. Danica's story was not published under Emma Darcy (as far as I know) but possibly by Wendy or Frank?

The Marcolini Blackmail Marriage (Marcolini Men, #1) by Melanie Milburne.

The scene at the graveyard gets me every time.

message 2532: by Kat (new)

Kat (remarkablyultraviolet) Hi! Last year or so, I found this harlequin book about a rich girl who lived on this estate. I also believe the heroine and her family lived in a small town or something, there was a guy who I think worked on their estate or was poorer than them. Anyways, she had a crush on this guy but he was kind of infatuated with her sister. However, her sister and the hero "breakup." Then the H and h have this one night together (if you get my drift *wink*). Anyways, the hero leaves and returns years later; however, it turns out the heroine got pregnant from this guy, but he doesn't know. Also, he comes back to the town and buys her house, but the heroine and her son will live in the cottage that is on the estate. I have already posted this question in "Help! I can't remember the name of this book... " thread, but no one has answered. I've also added onto the description a bit more hoping that maybe someone will remember.

That wasn't the book, unfortunately. The one I'm looking for is a Presents from the 2000s. That book was one I've never come across and was from '95 ☹️☹️

I was able to find the first book, though, after quite a bit of searching. It is Sara Woods "A Passionate Revenge" from the year 2005.

With the 2nd book are you sure it was a falcon? ---not a goshawk, kestrel, eagle or other type of raptor (I can search on my Kindle)
Book 2 possible

it's only a few years old though.

Does anyone know the title of the book where the hero and heroine were married I think and got separated, and the hero's father / family paid her to divorce or leave the hero, then the hero thought that she's a gold-digger, but in fact it wad the heroine's relative I think who accept the money, then the hero discovered the truth and confronted his father/family.

Does this ring a bell for anyone?

This is one of my favorite HP byMichelle Reid ...The Mistress Bride
MARRIED -- TO HIS MISTRESS?

The whole world was interested in Sheikh Raschid Al Kadah and Evie Delahaye. Despite fierce opposition from their families their passionate, high-profile affair had lasted for two ecstatic years -- but everyone knew that soon the relationship would have to end. Raschid was expected to marry an Arabian princess, Evie's mother was pushing her towards a member of the English aristocracy -- and time was running out.

Then Evie discovered she was carrying Raschid's baby....

He shows up at her brother's wedding and they cause a stir, then he finds out she is pregnant and his father announces his marriage to another woman. I love this story!
