Help!
I'm looking for a novel in which an actress is hired by a man to seduce the hero. She was told that the hero seduced and corrupted her employer's daughter, who then ended in an institution after an overdose. The actress was chosen because she resembles the hero's dead fiancée. Do you know the name of this book?

willaful | 344 comments Trying to remember a fairly recent HP... probably no more than 10 years old, no less than 4. The heroine is a kind of hippie-ish type, and she's pregnant with the child of the hero's brother or cousin. I think the father was gay, but she agreed to be artificially inseminated for him, and then he died. I'm pretty sure the hero doesn't know he was gay, and thinks they were in a relationship. Might have been Carol Marinelli.

Cathy Norfin | 56 comments Looking for book where the h is tricked into believing that she's entering into a marriage of love and only to find out after marriage that the H married the h for revenge. One of these books is "the winter heart by Lillian Cheatham." In this one the h gives the H - a paperweight for his desk. I think there's another one of the same where h gives paperweight also but cannot remember the name.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for all your help!!

Mo | 51 comments Hello guys, I need help in finding a book:

Old Harleqin: 70s, 80s or early 90s. The heroine was asked by her friend who looks just like her ( they met in school or work, can't recall which) to impersonate her on a meeting with her grandmother (the friend herself couldn't attend this meeting for some reason). So the heroine agrees and goes. It turns out, the friend is a black sheep of the family, had left some years ago under a cloud of scandal and her cousin (the hero) is disgusted with her. So naturally, he vents this disgust on the heroine, mistaking her for his cousin (name calling, rough treatment etc) Meanwhile sparks fly.
One thing leads to another, they have sex and the hero finds out she's a virgin and therefore, not who she claims to be. The truth of the impersonation comes tumbling out. He is embarrassed at having been rough with a virgin on her first time and a stranger for that matter!
Turns out, she is actually related to the family and her friend's grandmother is also her grandmother, hence the strong resemblance to her friend.
Admist all the subsequent happy family reunion and recalling of old histories, the hero and heroine declare their love and live HEA (hopefully).

Please help in identifying this harlequin book. Thanks!!

Sandra (saska) Hi everyone! :)
I have been looking for a book I read a couple years ago but can't remember the name of author or even the title of the book.Short description:"The main female character is 18 or 19 years old and has just finished high school. After a long battle with lung cancer, her mother dies and the main female character is left alone. The last dying wish of her mother was to pack her remaining belongings and to find her real father. So she goes to LA, California and finds out that her father passed away but there is a quite older stepbrother(34) who is a famous actor. He takes her under his roof and gives her all the luxury things she might only dreams about. Since it is a big secret that his respectful father had an affair with his secretary a long time ago, the stepbrother doesn't deny the media allegations and assumptions for her as being his mistress. His mother can't stand her since she represents the pain and long lost love of her dead husband. Than, one day her stepbrother organizes a party where the guest of honor is none other than a famous Hollywood producer (who is living or is from London, UK), an alpha sex God (36 years old). As he walks in the pool area, he notices the main female character stepping out of swimming pool in all her glory and beauty. Her brother wants the main role in the forthcoming movie and agrees that she may help him. So the story begins...The male character has no clue about the real age of (name?)the main female character. He has a lover (famous actress), she has a lot of admirers (one of them is so persistent to get her)." Thanks everyone for helping me!

Wanda Hamad | 22 comments It's Carole Mortimer - Savage Interlude:

Kate's position was impossible!

Kate owed a lot to actor James St. Just. He had introduced her to his fascinating theater world. He treated her as his sister--the only family she had.

If only she and James could reveal that they were brother and sister. But until then, everyone must think they lived together as lovers.

Everyone included the handsome, irresistible movie producer Damien Savage. If Kate could live with James, Damien reasoned, she could live with him. But that was the last thing Kate wanted.

Breanna Simpson | 1 comments Hi,
I've been searching for a Harlequin Romance I read in the early 2000s, and I can only remember some of the plot. The hero had been a cop, and had lost an arm protecting his police chief when he was just a rookie. In the story he worked for some kind of private investigative group or missing persons organization. I think he was helping the heroine find a missing family member or something? In the story, the hero had also been given up for adoption as a child and subsequently finds his biological sister. I remember a scene where the sister's adoptive parents were very angry/grief stricken because the adoption agency had never told them she had a brother, for some reason.
I know that's not much to go on, but I've been looking for this book for years. Thanks.

Nausheen | 6 comments Hi...i am looking for a Harlequin or Silhouette romance where the heroine is pregnant but keeps mum about the identity of the father of her baby...the town nicknames her the virgin mary or something as she has a reputation of not sleeping around...the hero doesn't remember sleeping with her as he was drunk or something that night...
The book starts with a heavily pregnant heroine in her shop and the hero walks in...she faints as she hasnt seen her since that night...the hero has vague dreams about her but cant understand why...
That's all I remember...

Alexandra Isaac | 1 comments Hi, I was just wondering if anyone can help me out with a book title.

The book is about a heroine who is a lawyer, she is being threatened (letter, phone calls, stalking??) by someone on one of her cases. The hero owns a security company and is close friends with the heroine brothers. He offers to look into the threats which she isn't taking seriously. He end up moving in with her and I think near the end of the book he takes her to his house.

It has a book connected to it, the heroine is best friends with the heroine in the book above and falls in love with her older brother. The heroine wants to have a baby and the hero offer to have one with her.

I hope that made sense.
Thanks

message 1737: by Brooke (new)

Brooke H | 1 comments Okay, well, this isn't a harlequin romance novel, but I got this book at the library before and I don't remember the author or the title. I only remember one of the character's names and that it was a really good book.

This girl lives next door to her friend named Twig, she plays the guitar (I think) and she sings. Someone videotapes her singing without her knowing and the video goes viral and this dude that makes people famous discovers her. I remember her having a younger sister who I think had a hamster (or some other small rodent as a pet; maybe a guinea pig). I remember one of her songs was about Sweatshop kids and the dude that was making her famous didn't want her singing that song. I remember her singing it anyway and her friend Twig was proud of her. She discovers that the one who videotaped her was the girl who used to hate her... I think she's now Twig's step-sister or something and she wanted to get along with the girl and her friends or something... That's as far as my memory goes, and I can't find it on the internet anywhere! I've tried and tried to think of the title or at least the author, but i cannot remember for the life of me!! If you think of or find anything to help me, I would be very grateful!! Thanks!

Se Mcgregor | 550 comments Have searched high and low for this book. I think it is a Harlequin presents and probably around mid-2000's. H takes secretary / PA to Greece or Greek Island to pose as his fiance. His father is dying or ill and they end up having to go ahead with a wedding - I think father wants son married before inheriting family empire. She hates lying to everyone and I think she jumps on a plane to head back to UK. Appreciate any ideas on what it could be.

Sira | 37 comments Hello ladies and gents (if they're any)

Looking for a harlequin presents title:

The heroine is a model with an "exotic" name who is on location on an island to model for the hero's new perfume line or some other new item (cant quite remember which), she has a hard time staying out of trouble.

There is a scene where she tries to knit on the beach and she is being observed by the hero and she get frustrated and throws the lot into the ocean.

She is a single mother of a daughter who has a scottish accent due to child living with the heroines brother in scotland in a castle. The brother of the heroine is rich.

I think the child turned out to be the hero's but she didnt tell him (secret baby plot)

Do any of you recognise it?

Tatiana Stefan | 16 comments Hi guys! Need help on the title of this book I read when i was in elementary school which was probably more than maybe 23 years ago. It was a about a prince who meets a commoner named Sophie (I keep thinking it was a Russian prince? ) and my faded memories really believe the woman's name was Sophie and I think they either get engaged or married but the prince's family /grandmother (?) don't like her. I always thought the book was called princess Sophie but I can't find it so I must be wrong. I was probably 10-13 years old when I read it. I don't think it was a harlequin or silhouette but maybe one of those stand alone romance novels. Hope someone can help me with this!

Marian Heinänen | 2 comments Hello friends!
I am new here!

I have 10 years been looking for a old harlequin book. i cannot remember the series but the cover looked like Harlequin Basic/romance/presents. The book is about 80´2 or 90´s. The storyline was that a woman comes to finalize her marriage after 5 years of separation. I am not sure, but I think the setting was Australia. Then he asks her to waite, because he is having a pool party/barbique to his friends.

I always thhought it was Karen van der Zee the author, but I am not sure.

I liked the book, the relation that they had during they time getting back to each other.

Thank you for this community and Br,
Marian
