Christina, but with tea (steepedinbooks) | 28 comments I recently read several via Scribd and enjoyed them. The ones I read were HQN Romances, so they were very sweet. I'm looking forward to finding some that started life in the Presents line.

Karen (simplykaren) | 2 comments Hi there,

I really hope someone can help me figure out the title of this book. I *think* it was a Harlequin Romance, but I don't remember which collection/imprint. I'm pretty sure it was published in the mid-1980's. The main character was a ballet dancer, and she falls for a mysterious, dashing man named Jared. I seem to recall the cover having a good bit of lavender or purple, and there was a dark-haired man and a woman whose hair is in a bun and she's obviously dressed as a ballerina.

And that is all I remember. I know this could be asking for a needle in a haystack, but I really hope someone will know this. I joined the Harlequin site, but every time I go to the forum to post a request for help with finding the title, it tells me to log in. I do, and then go back to the forum page, and it doesn't show me as logged in and I start all over. I'm in a terminal loop of suck over there.

Thanks in advance to anyone who reads this and possibly can help.

Vashti | 732 comments I have been looking for a book that I read about ten years ago.It is an hp,maybe by Lynne Graham.I don't remember much detail ,but here goes.Book may be from the 90's,possibly takes place in France, the olny thing that I remember is that the hero gives the hetoine a piece of jewlery towards the end.It is inscribed in french on the back. There written in french is the line of a very famous love poem,it says...Each day,I love you more,Today, more than yesterday and no lessthan tomorrow.
Does this ring any bell, Ihope so ,because I want to reread this book again, thanks in advance for any possible help.

Christina, but with tea (steepedinbooks) | 28 comments 1. Looking for an HP, probably from the 90s. The hero was French, I think. Toward the end of the story, the heroine calls the hero on the phone and he asks her if she would come to him (at his hotel?). When she says yes, he says that it's enough that she wanted to come see him. He tells her to stay put and he goes to her. Then happy ending. That is honestly all I can remember.

2. I think this was an HP. Blind heroine meets the hero and falls in love. Stuff happens, they break up, and she gets an operation that restores her sight. She meets the hero again, unaware he is the same man because he's going by a different name. When she finds out, she feels betrayed and manipulated. I think the hero's name was Marcus/Alan.

Verity | 567 comments # 2 probably :
Yvonne Whittal - The light within. Hero's name is Marcus

Lyraa Levine | 13 comments hi
I am looking for this HP.. Well its a secret child reunion romance book.I remember very little.. The heroine has a son.. he must be around ten or something.. I remember him being very smart and he is very concerned about the heroine.. the child worries that she will die even if she sneezes bcz he lost his grandfather..The hero has a flashy car..
Not many clues to guess a book from...
Its by a popular author... i thought it would be patricia wilson or robyn donald but cant be sure

message 1666: by Sanya (new)

Sanya | 28 comments It's Michelle Reid, I think.

message 1667: by Kalyee (new)

Kalyee | 15 comments Lyraa, Did the h and boy live in an old house that the grandfather left them that needed work? And was the H middle eastern ?

message 1668: by Lyraa (new)

Lyraa Levine | 13 comments Kalyee,
I dont remember.. may be.. it seems possible now that I think of it.. but what i remember with clarity is that the son used to get very scared that his mum (the heroine) would die so he used to panic even if she had cold..

message 1669: by Sanya (last edited Mar 18, 2015 09:51AM) (new)

Sanya | 28 comments Lyraa, it is The Arabian Love-Child by Michelle Reid.
The book starts when the boy is 7 years old and Melanie has decided that Rafiq has to know about his son since she has no other family and the boy, Robbie, has begun to worry that she will die and leave him alone, now that the grandfather is dead.

message 1670: by Lyraa (new)

message 1672: by Jyothi (new)

Jyothi | 53 comments I need help with a book. I can just remember a scene of that book. It is towards the end. There is a fire in a building and the H thinks the h is inside the building since she was seen walking towards it but the h actually is inside the stable. The H is about to go inside the burning building when h calls out. He then picks her up and takes her to the stable where no one can interrupt and simply holds her tight. The hero has a younger brother I think who calls out and he is told everything can burn down or something like that but not to interrupt. This is nagging me since I think I just recently read it but not able to recall which book. I do hope to be put out of my misery.

Bnic | 21 comments I need help finding a book. I am searching for a book I read several years ago. The hero or heroine are forced to marry. I believe he is in love with someone else when they marry. He is disdainful of her and has a nickname for her, something like mouse, wren, or sparrow. It could be a harlequin presents. It was published before 1999,I believe anywhere between 1978 and 2000.

Maiqst | 6 comments Hello!
I'm desperately trying to remember the name of an old (1980's) Mills & Boon or Harlequin book.
The Heroine is Angela Twentyman and she ends up as a cook on a sheep farm. The Hero is Mark I think, and he calls her Twenty.
The title has the word 'Rainbow' in it.

Ancymon | 2 comments Hello, this is Ancymon. I am looking for the title of a Harlequin (I assume), probably by Penny Jordan (I may be wrong) at least 10-15 years old. What I remember: she - a model, she's engaged to a young man, they are supposed to meet his father in the restaurant, but the father falls for her at first sight and is rather ruthless in that regard toward his son. Vaguely I recall there is some revenge on her mind. The girl and the older man fall madly in love, there is some drama along the way, in the end I believe they have twins. Please help nail this book
