LOL, I know. I knew that it had a title and a story that didn't seem to match the picture. It always struck me as one of the more odd covers.

Sanya | 28 comments I can't remember the book I read maybe 15 years ago, but the book could be even older. The hero is missing and presumed dead - I don't remember, but I think in some South American country. Anyway, after 5 years or so his wife is about to marry his brother who helped her and her son during the rough times. Hate it!!! Then suddenly the hero is back home and the wedding is off. But things don't go smoothly, they feel like strangers, he can't sleep with her and the boy doesn't remember him. I remember the scene when the boy had an injury and they're in hospital and the boy is screaming to his father to go away and that he wants his uncle...the hero breaks up and cry...Help, I don't know why I remember this book among thousands of HPs I read in that period, so maybe it was awesome.

Veronica Rainone | 1 comments Hi everyone, ok I have been trying t find this book for over a year; a woman left the man she was with and had a daughter with him that he didnt know about, they start a relationship again and she still doesnt tell him about the child, he finds out somehow and forces her to be his mistress sleeping with her every night jetting her and the child and the nanny all around the world where she plays hostess at his parties. I remember that he is cold to her all the time, and she confronts him at an arranged meeting on top of one of his buildings. For christmas she tries to give him the key to her home and he laughs at her and says he already owns it so whats the point. She goes back home with the child, and leaves him and there is a fire in the home and the hero saves her and the child (there was a part of the hero's childhood where his family died in a fire) and he realizes he was a bastard to her and they all are happy. If anyone knows of this story I would be so happy!!!

Jilly | 2 comments Hello everyone!

I am searching for a book! It's been a long time since ice read this book. It may have been printed in the 80s.

The heroine Is leah and she is a simple girl. A little plain, mousy, never been with a man. She is on vacation and meets a millionaire named raoul/Raul on the beach, while he was playing foot ball with his friends.

He fell in love with her "cute dimpled knees". They get married and he adores her. She catches him in a compromising position and immediately leaves him. She doesn't know that it was a setup by a jealous wan. Doesn't alert him, doesn't take any valuables.

He finds her again. Convinces her to give him a second chance, and once again gets caught in the same compromising position from the same devious girl.

They are both brunnettes.

Please help!

Thank you!

Sara HarlequinJunkie (harlequinjunkie) | 19 comments Hey Everyone, I'm reposting in hopes of locating this book

This is probably a Presents from early 90's. I can't remember the name or the author. All I remember is

- Hero losses his sight in a mountain climbing accident.
- Heroine is a nurse I think, I do know they meet while hero is in the hospital.
- He hires her to assist with his recovery, they get married (it's a temp business arrangement)
- Hero regains sight, soon after they are married doesn't tell Heroine...
- Once the cat's out of the bag, heroine knows he will be leaving as soon as he can to climb another mountain and that will be the end of their temp marriage (conflict)then HEA.

I'm guessing the last scene takes place on a ferry

You guys are awesome, I'm hoping someone can help me locate this book.

Thanks
Sara

Samantha | 2 comments I'm trying to remember a book I read a while ago. I don't remember much beyond the fact that the h made a list of the H's bad qualities. He ended up using the back of the list to write his contact info on for her, but slipped it into his coat pocket instead of leaving it with her. She later tries to find it but can't. It turns out he had read the list and was trying to change her impression of him.

message 872: by Genny (new)

Genny | 2 comments The book was from sometime in the 90s. It's about a single mom who is an artist, her husband is dead and the grandparents want custody. The boy runs away and Sheriff Ethan (I think) finds him. The boy tells his grandparents that Sheriff and mother are getting married--the Sheriff plays along. There's also a disgruntled teenage daughter of the sheriff...

Rebecca (bd200789) Is it The Little Matchmaker by Muriel Jensen?

message 875: by Ria (new)

Ria | 5 comments I have read this book but cannot recall the name nor the author.
The h is H's son's friend and obviously H thinks that h is after his money. the one distinctive thing that I remember is that h always forgets to wear shoes or wear uncomfortable shoes.

Mari (flamar) | 17 comments Hi everyone,
I need to find this book that I read long time ago: is set in Australia, h works in a ranch or something like that and has a daughter, never heard from the father after their romance. Then H appears but does not remember a thing, he survived a plane accident and doesn't know he has a daughter, doesn't remember h but is extremely mean to her. She likes to paint and once he discovers a painting made by her of the Ayers Rock and then he starts to remember everything...
Please... can anybody help me?

Sira | 37 comments Help name these secret baby plot book.....

The heroine gave birth to a boy and a girl - cant remember how the hero found out. The heroine though didnt beat around the bush she told him quite plainly they were his. She had help from her mother raising them.

The children though i remember - the little girl was more precocious than her brother (she was the leader of the twin). In the novel one of them broke their hand and while being tended to was teased by their sibling.

There was also a scene where the little girl screamed and shouted at her dad she hated in him in public on the way to the park - and the mother told him to ignore her instead of giving her more attention.

He expressed how he now knew what it felt like to be a parent to screaming children.

the little boy immediately took to his dad but the little girl insisted on calling him by his name......

Hi Sira,

I think the second book is a savage betrayal by lynne graham.

The first one sounds familiar but I'll reply if I can think of it.
Hope that helps.

This definitely sounds like Married to a Mistress by Lynne Graham. The heroine is a dyslexic.

It's about a man who fell, and is in need of physical therapy. His sister hires a well sought after physical therapist named Dionne. The man begins to talk again, and he moves on to another patient - a little boy. Please help!. This is driving me crazy! THanks!

message 890: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 8 comments Hello. I need help trying to figure out two books. I can sadly only remember the plots but not any character names. They are Harlequin Presents.

Book #1: Gorgeous young girl (brunette I think) family friend shes been in love with forever. She either got her education or worked in London for a bit where she grew up, then decided to go to NY for a bit to see if the love interest would finally see her as a woman. I dont remember if she was supposed to be working with him or not, but I do remember that she showed up at his job, he forgot she was coming, and she was wearing like jeans and a shirt that showed off her figure. The love interest was apparently going to propose to the society woman he was dating. Heroine went to the engagement party to try to stop it - failed somehow, went home in the rain, her friend took care of her cause she was upset (guy), but hero follows heroine home, kicks guy friend out, and they make love for the first time. Any of this ring a bell? The heroine didnt really want to get married, just wanted hero. They start a relationship of sorts and while visiting his friends heroine over hears hero telling his friends that he should be with someone like the woman he was going to get engaged to, not the heroine. Heroine charters a helicopter and leaves the island distraught.

Book 2: Heroine and Hero are married. THey have children. Hero is kind of mean; apparently his wife isnt as intimate as he wants. He starts flirting with his secretary. Wife wants to go on business trip with husband and secretary cause something about the trip seems weird to her. Husband first refuses, then agrees. Wife gets to hotel, is uncomfortable with the 2 bedroom apartment like setup, the secretary's actions (she makes it known her target is wife's husband), and wife leaves and checks into another hotel for the remainder of the trip thinking the marriage is over cause her husband has been unfaithful.

LLC (llcspokane) | 69 comments Book #2 is probably Marriage Meltdown, Emma Darcy. A very good book

message 892: by Michelle (new)

Michelle | 8 comments Thanks! That is book #2!!! Any thoughts ok book #1? I'm trying to remember other details. I think the hero took the heroine apartment hunting personally which she was surprised about. I vaguely remember a scene where they are in an apartment near or looking at Central Park. Also the characters I think were of Greek or Italian culture.
