Help! I can't remember the name of this book...
Help with this title ladies:The heroine was on a vacation by a beach in an exotic location (i think) where she met the hero. The hero was very wealthy and he was grieving the loss of his father. He used a fake name.
The heroine became pregnant with a boy and when she tried to contact the man, thats when she knew he lied to her....
cant remember what happened in between but at the end of the novel the man and the woman returned to the location where they previously met and she fell pregnant again. They remarked something (not verbatim) that she seems to get pregnant at this spot.
Ok guys i am placing this here as I dont know where else to put it and u guys are awesome at finding out the titles of books people cant remember...Its been almost a decade now Im looking for this book - help me out please! Its a harlequin novel under the Silhouette series, where Im located we get the UK covers and the colour coding differs....
m sure its from the Silhouette series but from which series I cant recall as the cover to which i knew it was the UK cover edition.....
the story line is an American woman whose parents - her mother being a socialite and the father being some rough looking oil field owner (he drills for oil), the heroine of the novel doesnt really want her socialite life but her father's instead (from an early age her parents divorced but are amicable and she her name happens to be the same initials as that of her father) but both parents want her in the high society life where she should be planning charity functions and etc.....
the heroine uses an uses an opportunity when her father goes out of town on business to assume his role at work (she has the same initials as him) which allows her to get away with signing documents and so forth....with the help of her father's work mate....
she meets the hero while working ( i think he bought some surveys for her father to look over) and for some reason she seems familiar to him (he is familiar to the high society crowd and i think his family wants him to marry in that society as well) but he has a dislike for the women of those crowds.... hence she pretends she is just a plain worker....
there is a scene soon after they meet (both are attracted to each other) that he asks her out on a date and she fibs and says she cant go because she doesnt know how to dance and when he tries to teach he how to she pretends again she doesnt know but as he talks/disttracts to her she forgets to keep up the pretense to which he points out and to cover up she immediately and purposely steps on his toes....
he buys her a dress and and pumps which were dyed to specifically match the dress to attend a society function where her machinations all come to a head as both her mother and father corner and confronts her there and the hero finds out the truth that is very much a part of the crowd of women he wishes to avoid and have nothing to do with.....
towards the ending of the novel, the hero has come to his senses and realizes the heroine is nothing like the other women of the high society crowd and he make plans with the aid of his brother and the heroine's mother and friends to invite her to a party of the hero's and heroine's mutual friends (i think its was her engagement party but she didn't know that), the heroine however is being very stubborn and refuses to forgive the hero for how he reacted when he found out the truth and when she sees him there she walks out, where he sort of kidnaps/whisks her away in a horse drawn carriage being operated by his brother and she struggles to get away from him but he overcomes her and apologizes for the way he acted and asks her to marry him to which she of course accepts.
I know it's going t disappoint you to see my post because I don't know this book, but may I say, now I want to read this book too?
I remember the story but cant seem to recall the title .I think I read it 3-4 years back . it is a contemporary romance The story goes something like this-the heroine goes on a vacation somewhere with a beach and there she enters a contest. the hero is the judge or something .. the contest is a marriage ceremony or something but the heroine doesnt know as she doesn't speak the language .. she wins and is unaware that she got married or engaged.. after the contest the hero takes her to the beach and they have sex.. he keeps speaking in another language .Then she comes back home. in the office her boss tells her about a new client who saw her on her vacation and specifically asked for her . She says " Some old guy must have seen me by the pool and now he wants me" . "Actually it was on the beach and I don't think am that old " comes the reply from behind her . it turns out to be the hero.. he tells her about the ceremony and what it meant and that he is the prince or something....they have sex in the conference room
..he takes her out to lunch in a limousine.. a few pages ahead she goes to his hotel room to talk and you know more sex.. he blindfolds her.. feeds her.. ties her to the bed.. the bell boy sees her when he comes to deliver the food.. she gets mad and bites the hero.. he tells her to leave.. then she realises she loves him and flies out back to the island where the hero is holding a ceremony to choose a wife.. she enters it.. she ceremony involves him blindfolded and a lot of naked women parading one one by one... he recognises the heroine..the end scene involves her tied up in bindings and waiting fro him..
I think she was an investment banker and her name was persephone (not really sure about the name ).
Also he has a sun tattoo on his chest I think .
hi i'm khate and i need help..i am looking for a specific book, and it was so stupid of me to forget the title and the name of the author, and i hope someone here could help me..
--the plot goes something like this: a man is searching for a mother for his somewhat unwanted child(someone he will not fall in love with) and his secretary seems to be the perfect candidate. they both agreed that the secretary will take care of the child and will stop from working. (the father is so unattached to the child because the child's birthmother(child is born from a one-night-stand incident) is so messed up and killed herself in an accident after revealing that she is not sure as to whether he is really the child's father or not)<--with this issue, the secretary/wife tries her best to soften the heart of the man towards the child..
..well, the ending: they fell inlove with each other, found out that the man is indeed the real father of the child/daughter..and that the man and the secretary are having a child of their own.
--sorry ,i'm not really good at this..but i hope someone here has read the book and would be able to help me find the tittle or the author.. :D

Hello.I'm trying to remember a book title. Heroin came to his husband who was a banker, needed a money had a sister megan or something. there was a casino angle somewhere, sister died waiting a bus when car ran into her.
I look foward your replays.
I love harlequin books
So is this just for Harlequin books or can I ask about a book I read a while ago and can't remember the name to?
I'm not sure if it's a presents, but I'm looking for a book with the following story:The H and h were in an accident. The H was told the h died and the h was told her newborn(?) baby and the H died. After a while, they happen to be at the same party in the city they used to live. The mother of the H is responsible (not for the accident).
Thanks!
Josette
I'm not sure if its a HPs but I hope someone can help me find the title of this book. The guy's name is Tarrant (I think it was that!) and the chick's name...I dun remember.
Her mom gets involved with his dad and he thinks they are gold diggers.
Cut a long story short, he "kinda" rapes her (later transitions to love-making after 30% of the scene) finds out she's a virgin and starts feeling guilty.
Blah blah blah....some other guy (boss or someone) involved.
Realization dawns. He is in LURRVVVVEEEE. So is she.
....
....
....
Parents agree. They live happily ever after.
PS- I know totally meh plot. But, but, but....It's been nagging me that I can't remember the name of the book.

Looking for an HP book..... A sheikh is traveling on business trip and his temporary secretary is completely inept. And only took the job as a means to meet H. His private plane lands at a remote airport to refuel. There he rescues the h. Who, wearing a too small wedding dress, was abandoned by her fiancé without her purse or luggage. The sheikh (or maybe prince) agrees to allow her passage to NYC on his private jet. H fires ditsy temporary secretary. And h agrees to help him create some spreadsheets.
He ends up hiring her for his short stay in NYC.
They end up having a fling. Even though they know and agree their relationship can't go anywhere.

Yay ! Some DC heroes have unusual names. IIRC, the home-wrecker wannabe didn't get his comeuppance after slandering heroine.
I posted this some time ago, and I think I may have gotten some details wrong so I haven't found it yet."I wanted to find a book that I've read the excerpt of a couple years back. It was an excerpt I found in the back of of a Harlequin Presents book but I don't remember the name. Its about this prince, I think Nico was his name, and a recently hired chef name Emma (maybe) on this yacht/boat/ship. This is about all I recall except maybe she doesn't like him at first, and they met in an elevator; maybe? I'm not too sure."
I'm not too sure about the name or whether she is a chef or not. I may have gotten it confused with another book. But I am sure that it was an excerpt in the back of a 2000s Harlequin Presents book, the hero is a prince and they met in an elevator where she insulted him without knowing that he hired her or rather he owned the yacht/ship. Any help would be great, and it could also not be a Presents book because it was just an excerpt.

Hi girls! I'm looking for a book I've read sometime in the last 5 years. It's placed in Venice, the hero is Italian and the heroine is English. At the first scene of the book she tells him that she is pregnant with his child but he doesn't believe her. He throws her out because he thinks that the baby isn't his (his diabolical ex-wife told him that he can't have children and he believed her, of course!). After a couple of months he finds her again and persuades her to go live with him, because he wants her very much despite the fact that he still believes that she cheated on him. He finds out the truth about the baby the day after the baby's birth.

"I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it was a guy working for him that hired her and she didn't like him in the excerpt because he insulted her about her looks when she said something about him being a rapist. I'm not too sure if that is right but they didn't get along in the excerpt which might be chapter 1. Sorry if this isn't specific enough.
A friend of mine is looking for this one:I have been looking for a book for a while now and I hope you can help me, I read this last year (or maybe more):
The book is about an english/american girl who was married with an italian man, he is a famous pianist and older than her, they married when she was 18 or so and break up because his mother treated her badly (but she never tell him that). He travels a lot and she is very independent, she returns to Italy for her sister weding and they see each other again because he plays the piano in the wedding.
Besides that I only remember his mother being really controling and having something to do with her parents home (who live in Italy) being vandalized...
Any ideas? Thanks!

i dunno 'bout pizza parlor but Daphne Clair ~ The Riccioni pregnancy, has a similar story where hero has family-owned Italian restaurants & he makes delish spaghetti. He intentionally gets her preggers & in a hormonal fit, she throws her shoes @ him.
Hi, I'm having a heck of a time finding a particular book. It's a Harlequin Presents (1998-2000 most likely). Had a very innocuous cover, with dark haired couple or maybe just mostly the woman (I think she has her hand on his chest or they are holding hands) They look like models out of a spring/summer JCPenney catalog--very tame. But the story was kinda sexy. the heroine was visiting the Basque region of france/spain. She fell for an important member of the Basque community, even though everyone let her know she was an outsider and it would be a horrible match for him. I was positive it had to be Sandra Field or Sara Craven but I can't find this book! Oh! Author's name was in BLUE lettering. I can see this cover in my mind--all but the actual WORDS!! LOL
Sandra Field ~ Love @ 1st sight, has a cover that matches your inquiry but the setting is Nova Scotia, not Basque :
Thanks Verity... but that's not the one. Those cover models could be in a catalog, too, though, lol. I think I am way off on the author. But I know that it was Basque hero, It was HP and the cover was very sedate. I had 2 copies because I had bought one, then my mother picked one up for me when she went to the book store. I'm going to check Charlotte Lamb and Sally Wentworth. Thanks for looking!
Charlotte Lamb ~ Dark Master, has a royal French Count hero who whisks heroine away to his castle after she catches fiance cheating on her.
Or :
Anne Mather ~ Sweet revenge, has a Portugese Conde who owns a castle.
Ahhhh, I found it!!!!! Lethal Attraction Rebecca King I don't know how to put the cover picture in here. Thank you Verity for looking!http://www.fictiondb.com/author/rebec...
