The hero has been led to think that the heroine cheated on him by the OW. He sees her with another man and refuses to believe her claims of innocence. She leaves him for a while and he brings her back but continues to be a jerk to her.
Later at a party she sees him with the OW and accuses him of cheating. He is outraged that she won't believe him, so she asks, (not the exact dialogue) "Why should I? You didn't!" / " Now I've caught you in a compromising position, and I will refuse to believe until you come up with irrevocable proof that you didn't cheat on me"

Thank you so much, that's the one

Dears, would you mind suggesting HP's with the following themes?
- hero is obsessed with the young virgin and vows to take her away from bf/fiancé/his own brother or son (i read the Charlotte Lamb ones already)
- one with a scene where there are family or company in a the house (mansion) and the H and h has sex in secret in the night
- step siblings do it in secret
- hero is heroine's bodyguard
- heroine was rejected by the hero some time ago because she was ugly or fat and has a makeover and now gorgeous and the H does not recognizes her but falls for her immediately
- heroine is a model and the hero is obsessed with her
- something like Silver by Penny Jordan (revenge, plastic surgery)
Let me know if you have recommendations. Thank you! xooxo

Thank you so much! I'll definitely will check this one out!

I'm not sure, but Kate Hewitt's Count Toussaint's Baby has this type of story line.

Not a complete match but similar. The h has to take the H's word that he didn't have an affair with the "wannabe OW." The "wannabe OW" also set up a scene so it looked like the h had cheated.
Duarte's Child by Lynne Graham.

The heroine and hero don’t really like one another. They are forced to get married, then fall in love. At the beginning of the novel,..."
Did you find this one? It sounds like one I would like to read too.

Yes that's the one, thanks..."
You're welcome! If you like that type of plot you should read Michelle's Reid Gold Ring of Betrayal. It is one of my favorite books by MR.

I am looking for a book I read a little while ago.
The couple are married but living apart, although I am not sure if they are officially separated.
He is just about to be crowned or at least made head of his country.
She is English or Australian I think and is living in London when he comes to collect her.
I think her father is either a diplomat or in something like banking and she was his hostess which is how she met him and the marriage came about.
The plot takes place in London and over the space of 12 or 24 hours, all of which is spent at either his Embassy or an office building that has living quarters as part of it.
Has anyone any ideas?
Thank you.

This is actually a dramabox serial. Someone commented that the story is a old harlequin.
H h have a ONS. Neither of them know the other persons identity. h thinks its some old geezer, H think its OW ho is now his fiancée. OW also happens to be h's step sister who forced her to have the ONS.
6 year later, h has a son fromher ONS. And is currently working under the H.
Its running in my head, somebody help.

I have been searching for this book for years
Please help me find find this book.
This is what I remember form the book.
The hero came to sign business agreement with the heroine father and ended up marrying her.
Heroine father doesn't believe in education and doesn't treat heroine mother well.
Some things that struck out to me was the fact that the hero was an orphan, he used to work for ow and was used and discarded by ow.
He has an all boys orphanage he help, heroine found receipt of children clothes he bought in his pants and assumed he had a child outside so she followed him and met the boys.
She made a poodle for one the boys that doesn't eat since he was separated from his sister.
Does this ring a bell to anyone?

I just remember this one detail.
The hero's family has this heirloom jewellery (I think it was a ring but I'm not a 100% sure, could be a necklace as well). There's a legend behind it, that if the person wearing it is a pure hearted person, the gemstone in it will shine brightly. But if the wearer is a bad person it will look dull.
The hero doesn't really buy into the legend, but remembers that when his mother/stepmother/former SIL (who was a mean person) wore it, it had always looked dull. When it's eventually worn by the heroine, it shines brightly.
That's all I remember. please help.

Hi,
Not sure if this is the book you are looking for, but it does have a heart-shaped pendant and some sort of story attached to it. :)

Is it Bedazzled
"I'm not sure
if the ring has special powers or if you do. Probably a little
of both, but I know where this heirloomlbelongs.'' His hand
trembled slightly as he picked the emerald-and-diamond
ring out of the sculpture and slipped it on her finger.
April swallowed. 'Dan, the stones seem brighter, more
beautiful than before. You'll probably laugh at me for imag-
ining such a thing is possible.'
Dan held her hand and pəzes into her eyes. " Never. With
you in my life, everything has become possible.
''Even magic?"
His gentle smile was for her alone. "'Especially magic.

No that's not it, but it sounds interesting so I will check it out. thanks for the recommendation. :)

Ooh, marriage in jeopardy romances with an interfering PA as OW are my catnip.
This is a bit of a longshot (because there's plenty of emotion on the heroine's side and the PA doesn't cause the accident), but could it be The Greek's Christmas Baby by Lucy Monroe?

That was a great thought-but not the one I was thinking of (although now I may read it!). I hate that I don’t remember better details. Thanks!!

It might be Marriage Meltdown by Emma Darcy"
It’s close to that one, but not the one I was thinking of - much appreciated!

Did you find it, I really want to read something like that

I m looking for the name of a book I read in the 2010s but that is probably much orlder than that. I dont remember much, only that the h was a saleswoman at a luxury shop and the H rich and probably foreign. I recall one particular scene where the H purchases a scarf for his mother and the h thinks it s for the OW. I think the H's mother (or was it the OW) paid the h a visit to intimidate / pay her off. Unfortunately, this is all I remember. Hope it rings a bell for someone.

Looking for a book. This is what I remember.
Hero is married ( its a MOC)
Hero and heroine have an affair/ ons.
Hero breaks up with her so as to let her find someone else suitable
Heroine ends up pregnant
She marries a kindly guy who has two children.
He dies and she’s bringing up his kids and hers.
She runs a successful knitwear business in the UK.
Hero’s wife also dies and she comes to England, takes over a business and also buys a mansion in the village where the heroine is staying.
Heroine’s stepdaughter ends up working for the Hero.
Hero finds out about her child and wants to be acknowledged as the father
There’s a probably another love story of the heroine’s stepdaughter and the hero’s stepson.
Rings any bells?

Looking for a book. This is what I remember
Either Hero or Heroine is a performing musician.
Setting Australia.
Don’t remember if it is Piano or violin.
Heroine is very young and has a controlling parent. They get married and the heroine is caught in a tug of war between husband and parent. So the Hero decides to set her free. He divorces her and emigrates to England.
Fast forward 5 years or so. Hero comes back to Australia. He tries for a reconciliation but heroine doesn’t encourage him. After some time, Heroine has a change of heart, but Hero decides to cut his losses and gets engaged to another girl.
Ring any bells?

I'm looking for a book
Heroine has a teen girl, the hero has a teen boy. Both in their forties
The heroine thinks the boy is bad influence.
The hero invites them to his villa for the weekend.
Daughter made fun of the heroine because she was wearing bikini
That's all I can remember.
Another one
A marriage of convenience story
The Heroine's father tried to steal from the hero after the marriage and faked a heart attack.
I remember that one scene, the daughter goes to check on her father after the heart attack and finds him smoking cigar in the garden.
Thank you

Maybe is An Elusive Mistress of Lindsay Armstrong

I think it's Second-time bride by Lynne Graham

I don’t think it’s that either, but I’ll try it! I just read The High Society Wife by Helen Bianchin and it was really close (other woman was not the PA and there was no physical threat to the h/wife), but it was a great read!

Can’t weigh in about the pencil comment, but the rest doesn’t really fit. STB is one of my favourites and is definitely worth a read!
Spoilers - Couple meet, she gets pregnant very young, 17 I think. Forced into marriage, horrible experience. H is broody, sister is mean, mother is cold, father pays her to go away. She has a miscarriage and leaves. Twin pregnancy but only loses one baby and doesn’t tell him as believes sister that he is with someone else. Daughter is teens I think when he walks into the estate agents where she works. Eventually tells him about daughter and they marry again…

Thank you, that's the one. Complete with pencil comment. She says "mum, you look like a pencil going to a funeral". I should have remembered the running off down the stairs part.
There is another kinda similar book I'm also looking for, now I can see that I mixed them up. There is a teenage or close to that age daughter. Parents are divorced. Father lives in US with new wife and daughter goes there for a holiday and breaks her arm. H is younger than the h - rich, of course. He flies h over to US on his jet to collect daughter.
Also thanks to Kimreads

Love In A Spin

Does this ring a bell?

Yes it is!

Could it be one of the Corretti series? I recall a wedding where bride runs off and story surrounding that covers about three of the books

Could it be Michelle Reid - The De Santos Marriage?
