Jyothi | 53 comments Hi all, please help me put a name to the book.
The H and h are married I think but separate due to reasons I have forgotten. All I remember is that she is told that the child was born dead but actually the child is growing up with the husband. She goes there as a nanny hoping no one recognizes her and because she wants to see her child. Just not able to recall the name of the book nor author. TIA

Kevin Xiao | 5 comments There is a story I cannot remember the title of.

Man is widowed and his wife was having an affair and his daughter turned out was not biologically his. The late wife and stepdaughter died in car crash after fight with the male lead.

The late wife is not the female lead and was having an affair with a family friend.

Its The Winds of Winter though the Lost Love is also a great book, but in that the heroine is considered dead.

Cynthia (addictedtonovel) | 6 comments Hi, please help with name of this novel.

This is what I remember from the book.
The Hero married the heroine as part of a deal with the father,
H was shamed by the daughter of his boss when he was younger.
h likes to read but the father didn't send her school and h mother is afraid of the h father.
After marrying they went to live in H house who has an all boy orphanage he sponsor's, one day he bought children clothes for them and h sees the receipt and had him followed to the orphanage he got angry and had to introduce her to them.
One of the boys is twins and reunited with his twin sister and was adopted by the couple that adopted the sister first.

Vintage (vintagesedona) | 312 comments Hi,

Looking for a Harlequin where the heroine is a nanny overseas. She falls for the H who is wealthy, obviously. The H's wannabe OW and plants a necklace in the heroine's room and everybody believes she's guilty including the H. Months pass and he figures out what really happened and tracks down the heroine.

I realize that this could be many, many books, but would appreciate some help!

Thanks, Kelly

Poorvi | 302 comments Hi all, please help me find these 3 books:

1. The hero and heroine marry (not for love but I don't remember why). On what is supposed to be their honeymoon, the hero takes the heroine to a very remote cottage with next to no amenities. He insists they share the only available bed, but the heroine is scared of the dark, so she sneaks out of the bedroom to go sleep in front of the fire in the living room, even though it's very cold. The next day they go on a hike and she falls into water. She insists on walking back to the cabi dripping wet.

2. The hero has a very low opinion of the heroine, but he still marries her. After marriage they move to his home country, and then he tells her how low an opinion he has of her, and that they will not have a loving or normal marriage. Heroine had no idea about any of this. So she decides to leave him. At the last moment she opts out of boarding the plane she was supposed to get on, and goes to a coffee shop. The hero finds her there panicking because the plane crashed and he'd thought she was on it.

3. The hero and heroine get married and she leaves him because she thinks he's cheating on her. Later they get back together for some reason, and are trying to make the marriage work. She goes to the airport to pick him up while he's returning from a business trip, and sees him leaving the plane with the same woman she thinks he cheated on her with. He also sees her, but she runs away and though he gives chase he doesn't find her. He also brought back a teddy bear with him?

That's all I remember. They're not part of a series and I don't even know if they're by the same author. Any help would be appreciated :)

#2 might be Legacy of Shame

message 6274: by Trisha (new)

Trisha (trishaam) | 4 comments Looking for a book about a man who needs an heir to keep his inheritance, but isn't interested in love or marriage. Woman is desperate for money...I think she had a young child/sibling/niece who needed surgery or had serious health issues. He hires her to have his child (via natural conception) and she agrees to sign over full custody upon baby's birth. She moves in with him during pregnancy and they become close. I think he was some sort of marine biologist and worked closely with saving sea turtles and wanted to keep his inheritance so he could keep the conservancy going. I remember a scene where she is pretty far along and he asks how she is doing and she says she can't paint her toenails and is having difficulty shaving her legs. Book published about 15-20 years ago maybe?

message 6275: by Trisha (last edited Mar 04, 2023 10:50AM) (new)

Trisha (trishaam) | 4 comments Looking for book: Basic plot is man aids very pregnant woman who, shortly after meeting, gives birth (I think he may have helped deliver her baby in his truck?) She has nowhere to go and he takes her and baby home with him. She is running from dangerous man (rich and powerful). I don't think she tells H that she is in danger, just that she has nowhere to go. I believe she gets a job as a waitress in a bar/diner. Dangerous man locates her, he is dealt with and now that she is safe, she decides it is time to leave. Neither of them want her to go, but neither wants to admit their feelings for the other until it is almost too late. Epilogue-year or so later and she is pregnant again, I think it's the 4th of July and they are stuck in traffic in his brand new car when she goes into labor. He tells her it can't happen again (him delivering baby and ruining another car seat). Mid 90's publication, I believe.

Mo | 51 comments Hi all, I once posted this search a few years ago and still haven’t been able to find the book - I got a false lead though, (which I actually enjoyed) but would like to find this book. Here’s what I know:

The H’s wife, whom he loved,?couldn’t have a child so the h, who was a younger sister to the wife, became a surrogate. The H practically doesn’t see the h. Then the wife dies (while h is still pregnant I think) and H became jerky towards the h. All ends happily of course. Not much info I know. Please help!

I heart ❤︎ books ❤︎ Renu | 27 comments Hi everyone, There's this Harlequin Presents/ Mills and Boon book that I've been trying to track down for what feels like forever...

h is a children's book illustrator... she illustrates H as a magician in her unpublished book and due to some accident she has a scar on her neck which she covers with a scarf and H has a son who can't speak. H's son loves h, when there was a storm he hides in h's cottage. H misunderstands h, thinks she had an affair with his sisters husband and in the end h finds out H is a married man and leaves him even as he stays away from his wife. H divorces his wife and reconciles with h and HEA.

I remember the story but not the title of the book. Somebody please help...

I read this recently. Will check my read books and get back to you.

Some more details of the book I read. h recently had surgery to restore damage to her larynx to allow her to speck. It was damaged in an accident when she was 16. H thinks the h had an affair with his brother-in law. But that man was only using her to get "Caught" so his wife (H's sister) would divorce him so he could marry the woman he really wanted.
H is a publisher, and h is actually illustrating a book that (unknown to H) his company has agreed to publish when it is completed.
h comes to an island to finish the book, rents a cottage. The H actually owns it, and is staying in the big house. There is a cyclone, h has to stay in big House. She and his son are friends. Is this it?
