Hello.am looking for a book i read a long time ago.it must be in the 1990s
all i recall is that the herione is from a rich domineering family. she meets hero on some isalnd or they get marooned on an island.
later when is rescued he finds out she is rich and gets angry.
also any recommendations on books where herione has backbone and is rich and stands up to the heros family and fights for her hero

Looking for a book where the Hero’s wife runs off with the Heroine’s husband / fiancee and they both die. The Hero has a small child. Not sure if the Heroine has a child too. There is a memorial service of some sort somewhere in Europe. While the theme is similar to The Millionaire's Contract Bride, it is not that. Please help me locate this book

UNSOLVED -I had posted this a year ago and I have not yet found the book….

Trying to remember this book ….. probably in the late 80’s or early 90’s.
Hero and Heroine are childhood friends.
Hero has a difficult time with his father. The Hero’s father favours the elder son and ignores / abuses the younger son (Hero)
Hero frequently escapes from his home and the unpleasant environment and finds comfort in the Heroine’s company. He frequently climbs up the window into the heroine’s bedroom.
Fast forward to the present.
Hero has been summoned to the hometown because his Grandfather is not well or there’s some trouble with the business. There are a lot of undercurrents and we get the impression that the Hero has issues with his parents and grandfather. Hero appears to be indifferent and uncaring in his attitude towards his Grandfather. I don’t think that the Hero actively seeking revenge… more like bearing grudges. The Heroine is unaware of the Hero’s family dynamics and tries to convince the Hero to patch up / be nice to the grandfather. Hero resists and is more interested in wooing / seducing the Heroine.
Not sure about how the family’s dirty secrets are revealed but the hidden fact is that the Hero’s father is not his biological father. And that’s why the Hero’s father ill treated him in his childhood.
Now the twist in the tale, is the fact that the Hero’s grandfather fell in love with his own daughter-in-law. Whether or not she reciprocated it is not clear but they have a “purple passion” moment and…… she gets pregnant….. and the Hero is the result.
So the person whom the Hero knows as his Grandfather is actually his biological father and the person whom he thinks of as his father is actually his half brother………
and his brother is also his half brother and uncle at the same time!!!!!! ( Talk about complicated family relationships)
There is a scene towards the end of the book where there is an accident of some sort and the Hero and Heroine are both admitted to a hospital and the grandfather-cum-father comes to the hospital to see them…….. and the Hero is missing from his bed.
That’s when the Grandfather-cum-father which a twinkle in his eye asks the nurses to check the Heroine’s room, saying that he had a habit of climbing into the heroine’s bed from childhood….and….lo behold!!!!
The Hero is found snuggling up to the Heroine in her bed.
I don’t remember the Hero and his family as being of Mediterranean origin…..
The setting is probably either UK or USA
Does anyone remember reading this?

Hi all. I'm looking for a book. The h is a rich man's daughter and the H starts out poor. She befriends the H by pretending that she is of the lower class. The H believes her and he has deep hatred for the rich so she doesn't reveal her true roots. As time passes by, the H and h fall for each other madly but when the H finds out about the h's family and the way he has been duped, he is furious. I only read till that in my friend's kindle. Forgot to note the book's title. Please help.

I'm searching for a harlequin that I am vague on the details - but what I remember the most about it is that the couple are estranged husband and wife, she is forced to ask him for help I think? - and toward the end of the book she discovers that he let the divorce go through even though it looked as if they would reconcile. She was going clubbing and basically said why wear her ring? It was quite comical - he was trying to tell her it would make her feel more secure if they got remarried right away, when really he was the one feeling insecure. Anyone have any memories of this?

Hi, I’ve been trying to remember this book for some time ….
This book is set USA (probably Texas) and England.
Heroine’s father is a rich businessman in UK.
Past - She’s come to a ranch and is on a sort of working holiday. Her rich background is not known. The Hero (helping his money minded father in business?) and the Heroine are attracted to each other and they have a summer affair? The hero proposes? The hero’s father throws a spanner in the works and either tries to buy her off or make her feel guilty by threatening to disinherit the hero ( I vaguely remember a fake wedding card printed by the Hero’s father? ) Without contacting the hero for his POV, the heroine takes off and goes back to Daddy.
Present - Fast forward 5 - 6 years. Hero and his father arrive in UK for a business meeting with the Heroine’s father. The heroine unwittingly walks into the meeting and walks out. After the meeting while exiting the building, the hero sights a little boy who calls out to his grandfather. Looking at the boy, the hero immediately recognises that the child is his flesh and blood. At the hotel where they are staying, the Hero and his father have a showdown and the Hero quits/ threatens to quit.
The Hero then comes and meets the Heroine’s grandfather and stakes a claim for the child
After this I don’t remember.....

I searched for this book a while back. Someone recognized it. Not a Harlequin. By Love Betrayed by Anne Reisser
Looking for a book, I think it was set during Regency period. H has a bad leg due to some injury and h has special insert made for his shoe. H finds it bc he thinks shoe is breaking and mentions it to friend in the room with him, the injury is usually not talked about. H realizes shoe is helpful and asks h about it.
Please help me find these books. I'm actually only looking for the second, I'm just mentioning the first for context. I remember very few details of either.1. The heroine goes to a house party thrown by her friend and the hero is present there. The friend's boyfriend is also there and takes several pictures of the party aa requested by his GF but then turns around and sells them in the media which causes problems for the MCs. The best friend had no involvement in the publicising of the pictures and dumps the BF.
2. The best friend is the heroine, and she has trust issues due to what her exBF did. This part I'm not too sure of but I think she also had some health issues in childhood and is very worried about passing them on to her children.

i am looking for a harlequin-i originally read it in the 80's-90's. a older guy meets a younger girl-she is in college(?), while they are both on a ski vacation. she is with friends, he is alone. they go out to dinner, and end up sleeping together. she feels foolish, because she was a virgin, and leaves while he is asleep before he can wake up and reject her.....he told her he was a farmer, but he is a plantation owner. he tries to find her, but i am not sure if she gave him a different name, or profession....
eventually, years later, his father/grandfather hires a decorator to redecorate the plantation, and it is her.....he is sort of dating a red head (i think that when they are in a clothing store together, the store employee asks where the red head was that he usually buys clothes for.)
his grandfather gets sick, and is in the hospital, so they are both there, and talking about that night, while they think he is asleep. and she comments on how she was a virgin, and that was something she thought to give to her husband. later the grandfather reveals later that he heard it, and that he expects his grandson to stand up and do the right thing by her.
they get married, and struggle, at the end, they are having dinner somewhere, and there is alot of rain, and a mudslide happens. she thinks she is going to die, or he is going to die, so she yells that she loves him. he finds her in a ambulance, and he holds her saying 'you love me. you said it-i heard you'
as i said-i read it late 80's-90's . it might be a superromance, i am not sure. i remember them arguing over the colors she wanted to paint the plantation house, and she stayed in the guest house, not the main house. he didn't come home a few nights-she assumed he was staying with the other girl, but he was down in one of the barns, and would go fishing, i think.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for a HP I read at least 15years ago. It's about a woman who lives as a recluse and is a massive smoker. She's in a bout of depression (maybe a widow but I'm not sure), her flat is messy and she looks tired and sick. Her neighbor is a hunk who takes pity on her and decides to help her get better. They start working out together and he encourages her to stop smoking. I also remember that towards the end they have a race and she almost beats him. I hope someone can help me find this book...

Convenient Bride For The King
Hi I’m looking for a book were the hero and heroine were living together, he had two teenage children, a boy and a girl. They both adored the heroine. The heroine falls pregnant and the hero has always said he doesn't want more kids. She wants the baby and thinks he doesn't. So the heroine breaks up with him and if I remember right his kids tell him its his fault, he had to do something wrong. I hope someone can help thanks.

I can't remember this book where I think it has a Royal H and the h is bought maybe for a job. The only thing I remember is that the h is bought into the prince/sheikh/kings huge plane and there are a lot of advisors and people. The h falls asleep and everyone gets out of the plane. Only later do they realise that she's missing and the H gives out an order to find her and they then find her in the plane sleeping. This book has been in head for so long and I'd really appreciate it if anyone can give me the name. And also I'm not sure if it's Harlequin. Thank you in advance.This book could also have a billionaire as the hero but not sure.

Eventually H starts showing interest in the h too and they sleep together. h finds out she’s pregnant when she gets back home and tracks down the H who turns out to be a doctor. H and h get married and are happy together but the baby is born with an incurable disease and dies a year or so later causing h to push away the H. I remember a scene where the H tries to have sex with the h soon after the baby dies and she goes crazy. H decides to go away for a year on a work trip to give h time to discover herself because he feels he married her too young. Hoping someone can help with the name please.

Hi, Looking for one in which the H and h meet at her parents‘ home when she is very young. He finally wants to marry and she seems ideal, very beautiful and with maternal instincts showcased by how she cares for her little brother. He follows her when she is getting the coffee, she falls for him, they get engaged. But then friends of hers warn her and she overhears him saying „I love you“ to his secretary. Little does she know it’s his sister. So she breaks of the engagement by pretending to be in love with her friend‘s brother. Later on hero returns, blackmails her into marriage, yada yada.
