Poorvi | 302 comments Does anybody know of a book where the heroine has long hair and she cuts it off? She's always worn it long because the hero really likes it that way. They've known each other for long and separated at some point. When they get back together for whatever reason, the hero is really mean to the heroine and after a while, she cuts her hair off to underscore just how much she really does not want to get back with him. And he's genuinely sad and asks her multiple times why she cut her hair.

It's not 'A Tainted Beauty'

This doesn't fit everything in your description but in The Marriage Truce by Sara Craven the h and H are divorced. They meet up again when she goes back to town for her cousin's wedding. She meets the H on the street and her long hair is blown and possibly touches the H. She goes off and cuts it quite short. He always liked it long.

The Unwanted Wife Sounds like this one, H is awful, they are married, h wants divorce, H wants a son, I think he gets her to agree to "trial period" before he'll set her free. She cuts her hair off looking for a reaction from h
McKinnon's Royal Mission h runs away near the end leaving her long hair on her bed for H to find

Nope, those aren't the ones.
But I figured it out. It's Lynne Graham's 'The Cozakis Bride'

But thanks for trying and for the suggestions. They both look interesting, I might give them a try :)

CeCe | 1 comments Hi. Looking or an old HP with a plotline involving the h wanting to gift a frame to the H for his prized piece of art. The artwork is some specific type that has large margins. She has the art cut down to fit the frame but this completely destroys the value of it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Jacqueline J | 267 comments Hey Everyone! I know you lovely people are going to be able to help with this one.

Looking for a book where the hero kicks the heroine out in the middle of the night because he thinks she has sold company secrets to the enemy only to find out months later that she had bee kidnapped that very night and somehow he had never received the ransom note.

Think it’s an HP but it could have been a Blaze I suppose. Also if anyone has some other good titles to share about a guy dumping the heroine wrongly over some perceived betrayal that ends with the hero having to grovel, I’d love further Recs.

This is a bit of a stretch, but could you be thinking of The Diakos Baby Scandal by Natalie Rivers? Here, the heroine overhears her lover and his brother planning to take the brother's baby son away from his wife (because she's an alcoholic and needs treatment, but the heroine doesn't know that). The heroine warns the sister-in-law, who flees with the baby and gets in a drunk driving accident. When the hero discovers the heroine had warned her, he dumps the (secretly pregnant) heroine.

I read the synopsis of each of these books but unfortunately none of them match the one I'm searching for. In the book I was searching for the h loved the hero even when he was engaged to her twin but then the twin decides to run away ( I don't know the reason why) . I don't think the H was in love with the twin but I think they were getting married because of some deal with the H and the h's father ( not sure about this) . The H doesn't realise that the twins swapped places until almost the very end of the book.

No it's not this one. As far as I can remember the h was in love with the H and when she came to know that her twin ran away she decided to marry the H instead and to try and make him fall in love with her. The H came to know about the bride swap towards the end of the book.

message 5834: by Poorvi (new)

Poorvi | 302 comments Hi all,
This is is going to be rather vague but I hope it rings a bell for someone.

The hero and heroine want/need to have a baby. But the hero has some sort of health issue, (I don't remember if it's physical health or mental health) that he is unwilling to get treated. So if they still want a baby their only option is for the heroine to undergo some sort of medical procedure (maybe IVF but not sure).
The day she's supposed to go for the procedure, which the heroine has been warned could be painful, she forgets to take the prescribed painkillers, so the procedure is very painful for her. (I think she faints from the pain).
The hero feels really ashamed and regretful that his refusal to tackle his own problem caused the heroine to suffer like this, so he decides they are not going forward with this and he will instead seek resolution for his own problem so that they can try for a child the natural way.
That's literally all I remember.

maddy (user_maddy) | 4 comments Help. This book sounds interesting.
repost (op Sashi):

Harlequin. Hero raised his siblings after his parents' death early on, and now wants to enjoy being free of responsibility as a single man, siblings (sister Georgie?) have left home. He meets heroine.

Hero lost his parents early on. He took responsibility of his siblings and was busy raising them. Didn't have much time for anything else. Now all his sibling have grown up and left home. He want to leave a life of free and single man. He meets heroine and is attracted to her. They sleep together and she ends up pregnant. Hero is not happy to be responsible for another kid so soon. So there is conflict. But he comes around during the book.
