I just started Vampire Academy the other night. So far I am really enjoying it. I have the weekend off, so I pland to get it finished then =)

I'm done with Nightwalker. Great pick Jael! Now, I have another series that I'll have to catch up on! Thank goodness I have a few days off at the end of July. Three whole days that'll just be spent reading, sleeping, and walking my dogs!

I'm planning to read Tempest Rising for July, as it fit into a couple of my challenges.

It's a classic that I hope you enjoy. There was an animated movie made of it years ago (although it doesn't follow the story very much).

I finished Tempest Rising today. Thanks for moving it up my TBR list. It started a little slow and I wasn't that fond of the hero or heroine, but I enjoyed the book. There are a lot of different paranormal types and it was interesting to see them interact. I think the heroine will be more likable in the sequel as she had some guilt issues to get over in this book.

I'm glad you ended up enjoying it the end. I usually have difficulty sticking with books that start at slow, but I will be reading this one during my time off at the end of the month.

I finished Tempting Danger and I must say I enjoyed this book. There was only two parts in this book where I was likeOH COME ON! but other than that the story was well fleshed out and Rule and Lily were characters I enjoyed getting know. The only reason I never got around to this book was because I read a novella in the ON THE PROWL anthology and just didn't like that story, but it seems that TD was completely different then the novella. Anywho I can't wait to continue with the series.

I'm glad you liked it. It is one of my favorite shifter series. I love Lily's grandmother and Cullen!

OH I love Cullen and Grandmother as well. I hated what they did to Cullen. I see he finds a woman. I can't wait to read more in the series.

I finished Night Pleasures. It was ok. To me, it started out a lot better than Fantasy Lover, which I wasn't able to finish. I gave it three stars, and now I'm wondering if that has a lot to do with the fact that I've read a lot of tortured hero romances lately, and just need a break from them. I will continue on with this series though, thanks for the rec Diane!

Well I'm glad you at least liked it. Funny thing is Kyrian isn't even nearly the most tortured of the group. Book 4 has Zarek and I've heard Acheron is the most tortured of all. On the plus side, some of them are fairly well adjusted. Talon in book 3 and Wulf in book 5 are pretty easy-going. Wulf's situation is unique and makes for some funny moments with his squire/descendant.

I finished Kitty and the Midnight Hour today. Thanks for the rec Jael. It was just ok for me, mostly because I wasn't that fond of Kitty. I loved Cormac and TJ and a bunch of other supporting characters. It it was the Cormac series, I'd be chomping at the bit to get the next one. As is, I'm not sure if I will or not. Does Kitty start acting more maturely/responsibly?

Great! I still haven't picked up the Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter book yet. It wasn't in stock at the store I went to. On my way to another a different store, I stopped at a library booksale, and spent all my money!

Sorry Diane I didn't see your comment until. Kitty does get more responsible as the series goes along. She becomes stronger. I too love Cormac and was about to give up the series after what happened. I am feeling so so with this series as well especially after reading Kitty Raises Hell.
