FYI you can post the books you have picked for each member and i will add them to the list. I will also cross of each book you have read with each update. Thank you and good luck ladies!
Jael - I think we will just have 3 books each, not 4. You also listed Michelle's name twice. My picks:
for Jael - Tempting Danger by Eileen Wilks - it is an interesting shifter world and I like that the series follows the same characters.
for Stephanie - Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones - a fun story with quirky characters.
for Michelle - I can't see her shelves yet, I sent a FR.

Hey! I had a good time looking at everybody's bookshelves =DDiane:Tempest Rising by Nicole Peeler
Stephanie:Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia
Jael: Midnight's Daughter by Karen Chance
Michelle wrote: "Hey! I had a good time looking at everybody's bookshelves =D"Yep, that was fun. And I thought I had a problem with my huge TBR list, until I saw yours. :)
for Michelle - Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon - I choose this because otherwise you might read book 1 first and gotten turned off the series. This is really the first book in the Dark Hunter series and I disliked Fantasy Lover (and am very glad I didn't read it first).

LOL! When it comes to books, I turn into a maniac :)
I am so glad you said that! I have tried to read Fantasy Lover a few times, and really just couldn't get into it. But, I wanted to start the Dark Hunter series sooner than later.

Yay, I hope you like the actual series. It is nothing like Fantasy Lover, although the characters from that book will show up.

I may eventually give FL a try, but its definitely not at the top of tbr pile.

Michelle Wow ! Diane was not kidding about your TBR! I am glad to hear that I can start with Night Pleasures because I think I read about 6 pages of FL and had to put it down.
Jael ~ *~ Syhren ~* ~ wrote: "Michelle Wow ! Diane was not kidding about your TBR! I think they only did that because Julian and Grace (and some of their friends) show up in later books. But it is such a different tone, it puts a lot of people off who might enjoy the rest of the series.
Ill get looking through your lists right after I start some laundry! Worked all day yesterday, so sorry for my lag.
Ok, I have to wait for Michelle to add me as a friend so that I can pick her book, but here are the other two:Jael for you I pick
It's a fun read. I read it in a matter of hours. I liked it a lot more than Coraline.and For Diane I chose
. You put it on your list some time ago and I figure its time you try this series. I like the series myself, though I know people have differing opinions about it.Michelle I await your friendship so that I may choose your destiny =)

No problem Stephanie and I have the graveyard book on hand. I think i started it, didn't get many pages in, but put it down for another book.

Michelle your TBR list is long, but I didn't have to go far at all (once I put it into alphabetical order) to choose yours...
It is on my on tbr list, and I have yet to talk to anyone whose read it, only to people buying it.
*edit*
But I did read a random bit off of a page when I was putting it away at work, seems like it could be pretty graphic, but it looked soooooo good!

I'm looking forward to reading this one too! I heard (can't remember where) that this one is going to be made into a movie. Have you heard that too?
You guys have picked out some good ones for me. I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want to read first.
Michelle wrote: "You guys have picked out some good ones for me. I'm having a hard time deciding which one I want to read first."I agree. I think I'm going to save Kitty and the Midnight Hour for next month as one of my group challenges always has a full moon read and I've already read it for this one. Now I just have to decide between Marked and Tempest Rising. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
Well, I have copies of Night Pleasures and Nightwalker readily available, so I'm going to close my eyes and just pick one to read this month, lol!

I heard that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is supposed to turn into a movie. I haven't heard about the Lincoln one being turned into one though.
I have gotten a hold of two of the three books. Now I just need to pick one for this month =). I want to try to fit it into one of my many other challenges I am doing though and I am pretty sure that it will be fairly easy to do so.
I've decided to read
this month, since I already have books 2 and 3. I saw that book 4 comes out later this month, and book 5 next month. The cover for the 5th book makes want to hurry up and read this series, LOL!
Well I started Marked. I'm only about 4 chapters in, but am enjoying it so far. I like how different the vampire mythology is in this one. Thanks Stephanie!
=). It is a good series, but I find I have to take it in pieces. Read one book here, take a break, read a different story, then come back. I cannot just take it all in at one time. However, that wasn't really the case until book 5 heh.
Diane (deebotte) wrote: "Well I started Marked. I'm only about 4 chapters in, but am enjoying it so far. I like how different the vampire mythology is in this one. Thanks Stephanie!"I've been wanting to read that one for quite sometime. I'll have to get my hands on a copy soon.
yeah I think I stopped reading that series @ Chosen. I have all the other I just can't tolerate Zoe. I really did enjoy the first book.
Well I finished Marked and really enjoyed it. I'm hesitant about continuing with the series as I've noticed several comments in groups that it goes downhill. Is there an actual end to the series (either completed or announced)?
I haven't heard anything about there being an end but I have stopped looking for anything that has to do with the series. As for the seriesw going downhill, well IMO I think the writing remains the same it's just the lead character Zoe really grates on my nerves. I just did not want to read past book three. If i can't like/indetify with the lead character then what's the point.
I've been experiencing a reading funk for the past week or so. My plan is start Nightwalker tonight, after finishing Urban Shaman.
Diane, there are indeed mixed results for House of Night. People love the series to the end and people start to not like it. I still like it, but I am just in no rush to read Tempted (book 6).The part about Zoey that gets on my nerves is her "boy problems." There is just too much of it, and it gets really really old after awhile.
What I do like about this series is that each book picks up pretty much directly after the last one ends. No time gaps. As far as I can tell, the series is still running through Zoey's first year of school, really only about a couple of months down the road from where you just read.
I don't know when they plan to end it. I hope it isn't too many more books out, or the series will just be blah.

Thanks for the info. I might just see if my library has the rest and read them that way. If they start getting bad, at least I won't have paid money for them.
I got the first four fairly cheap. The reason I started reading the series was because I found the second one at a thrift store for 50 cents >.<
I decided to start
last night before going to bed, and now I'm suffering for it. I thought I'd only read the first few pages. Well, it started out interesting enough, that I kept reading "just one more page". I hit snooze 3 times (which my snooze is programmed to 30minutes, not 9!), and I'm so tired I'm still sitting in my pj's at the kitchen table, when I should be in my car on my way to work. Good pick Jael! As you can all see, there's always time for goodreads, LOL!

Sign up will begin today and end May 31st
Each participating member will pick a book from another participating members TBR pile for them to read.
Ex. if 7 members sign up then I must pick one book for each member to read from their GR TBR pile.
Ex. 2 Michelle and Jan are signed up. I will go to their TBR here on Good Reads and pick a book for them to read.
Rule 1 You must read one book chosen for you monthly
Rule 2 Once you sign up you must participate. It wouldn't be fair for you to pick books for someone else and not read those picked for you.
Rule 3 You must post your thoughts on the books you read, whether it's just a rating or a brief comment.
Once everyone who has signed up for the challenge. I will post a duration date based on two factors.
1. How many particpants we have
and
2.If all members were to read one book monthly.
(of course you can read more than one a month)
