Yikes, you have a commute!
I will be going by myself -- maybe if we both fly we could share a rental car?

Katie (foxyhedgehog) | 3 comments I'm late to this, but I'm in, too!

Jason (jasonct) | 69 comments Man April can not come soon enough....well I don't like the fact that I'll be a year older, but I want to see all you guys and am not very patient :)

Sounds good, Suzanne!

Jo Beth (demps66) | 6 comments Unfortunately, since I'm in MN and it's during school, I won't be able to come. I hope you make it a special BOTNS podcast (or two) so that those of us who can't make it can at least experience it vicariously.

Ann (akingman) | 2097 comments Mod
Oh Jo, so sorry! Even a weekend doesn't help, huh?
If this one is successful, maybe we'll take the show on the road next year ... :)

message 58: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 13 comments I'm planning on coming. I live in St. Louis so will probably be flying out there. I'm very excited about it!!!

Jason, thanks! It's so far away at this point, I have no idea yet what we'll need, but you're on my list :)

As soon as we get the rates and a second location for lodging, we'll figure out how to finalize the registration/reservations process. Sorry to be so disorganized -- interest has turned out to be far greater than we had dared hope for!

message 64: by Jason (new)

Jason (jasonct) | 69 comments @Ann - No prob. I just figured I'd offer since I'm only about 45mins from you and in the area.

What a great testament to you and Michael that so many want to take part!

Ditto on Jason's comments of help (even though I'm much further away) and of our draw to Ann and Michael.

Karen (karen5) | 1 comments This sounds awesome! My hubby and I want to come. We're in Florida and will make it our vacation!

message 67: by Shona (new)

Shona (anovelobsession) | 178 comments Well the dream is over for me. I thought I would be able to make it and was already trying to schedule leave for next April...I was so excited until I was reminded that my daughter graduates from UT next May and we are all, of course, flying back from Germany for that, so there is no possibility of me coming back twice in that short of time....Great plan though and those of us who can't make it will live vicariously through those that can :)

message 68: by Ann (new)

Ann (akingman) | 2097 comments Mod
Oh, Shona, I'm sorry but of course I completely understand! Maybe it will become an annual thing and you can join us in 2012. (oh no, I am not committing to that, Michael, don't kill me...)

message 69: by Maureen (new)

Maureen | 39 comments I'm hoping to make the trip, too! I'm in St. Louis, so I'll be flying out there with my friend Elizabeth (see above), who first introduced me to your awesome podcast.

Ann (akingman) | 2097 comments Mod
Oh my goodness! We will certainly have a midwest contingent, won't we! (I was born in Michigan and lived in St. Louis for awhile, so I will feel right at home).

Maureen, thanks so much, and Elizabeth, special thanks for sharing BOTNS with Maureen!

Helen | 25 comments Ann and Michael, are you thinking about making some sort of "head count"..just to give you'll an idea about how many will be there? Sure looking forward to April out here in Washington state..

message 74: by Ann (new)

Ann (akingman) | 2097 comments Mod
Hi Helen,
Yes, I've created a form for people to fill out once they have booked their room or have otherwise committed to attending:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewfo...

I'll post this information a few other places here in this folder as well.

Thanks!

Hey everybody, don't forget to fill out the Survey after you've booked your hotel room, so that we can keep track of numbers, where people are staying, etc. Thanks!

Mrs. LF (lissyf) | 6 comments Hey, Ann and Michael. I've emailed with both of you in the past, and Ann also knows me from Ravelry (a knitting and crocheting website) and a P.G.Wodehouse listserve. I and my fellow Raveler, Fran, will be attending the retreat. I am so excited about this! I hope there will be time to talk knitting as well as books with Ann and Michael's wife. Thanks for planning this retreat. I've always wanted to stay at the Reluctant Panther!

Good point - are there good yard shops in Manchester, too?

My wife will LOVE to talk knitting and can show you the one yarn shop that she has been to in the area. She'll probably scope out more!
