Always, Always I'll choose Conrad from here to infinite ;)
So from the start I found the third book on the best sellers shelf and had no idea that it was the 3rd book in the series. Needless to say I read it and fell in love with all of the characters. I just HAD to go back and read the first 2 books.I think a lot of people feel like Belly shouldn't have wanted to be with Conrad so but, i couldn't help but disagree. While he was always such an ass to her I just think he didn't know how to get out his emotions. Plus there was a little bit of an age difference which can always be hard. And while I do love Jere, I couldn't help but be so upset at him when he cheated on her! I was so disappointed in him because I really thought that he loved her.
I loved these books and I wish there were more!

Too immature people are never a good combination and that's exactly what Jere and Belly were.

Am i the only one who thinks Belly's mom would've reacted differently towards Belly's marrige at a young age had it been with Conrad instead?
At the beginning, I liked Jeremiah more than Conrad. But when Conrad told Belly how he felt about her, right after he had found out that Jeremiah had cheated on her, I was all for Conrad. Ugh this book was too amazing!!!
From the start (I'm a romance suck up) I was wanted Belly to finally be together with Conrad. When her and Jere started dating I thought that she had settled for second best and then when he cheated on her! I thought she was a fool for staying with him. Although Conrad never showed his affections much (or so we thought) throughout the first two books all became clear in the last, the girlfriend that he was so in love with in the past knew his heart was elsewhere.. Laure and Beck knew were his heart was, I think he was just under a lot especially throughout the second and didn't know how to tell her... Didn't know what to say. I mean "infinity" omg.. We never heard about that till 3rd book what that really meant and how cute was that! I swear my eyes welled up when he finally confessed everything and then when she finally got married, the scene at the end when they go into the ocean I cried like a baby.. Seriously. Her heart longed for him, and although he pushed her away in the past he grew up and came through and was there for her. I would love for these books to become a movie! Read all three on ibooks in one day! Couldn't put it down :) xx

Jere and Belly were not good as a couple. They were two immature kids playing at a serious relationship. Point proven when they decided to get married at 18/19. No shit her mom went nuts and I was kind of disappointed on how easy the other adults gave into the madness. If everyone had behaved like Belly's mom, doubtful the whole thing would have gone so far.Also, WTF Belly! Jere cheated on you and you are marrying him? That girl had serious issues, first with Conrad (yeah, yeah, he loved her, but he treated her like crap the entire series), and then with Jere. Low self esteem much?

Jere didnt treat her right and he hurt her by cheating on her.

TEAM CONRAD FTW <3Jeremiah isn't all he's cracked up to be, in my honest opinion. I mean, yeah, he seemed nice in the first two books and you could tell he really did love Belly, but in the third book, he totally started acting like a jerk. Or he seemed to not care as much, you know? He missed the appointments he and Belly had for their wedding planning and he was being seriously selfish at some points. Also, he cheated on Belly. CHEATED! And only within days of their break up, no less. Why she took him back and intended on marrying him, I have no idea.
Also, I honestly don't think Jeremiah necessarily loved Belly "first." I think Conrad always loved her deep down but was just too blind to realize it. Jeremiah was just more open in admitting his love for Belly, whereas Conrad was dealing more with his family issues and whatnot. Plus, he did say that the only person he has ever loved was Belly. Finally, I also firmly believe that Conrad would have never cheated on Belly.
P.S. Does anyone have any idea as to what Conrad's letter from Susannah said? I feel like she always knew the "Fisherman" Belly would end up with was Conrad.

Its funny because in the other 2 books I couldn't stand Conrad because he seemed like such a jerk. But once Belly was With Jeremiah I couldn't stand it. I was like she has to end up with Conrad! I almost died ( I'm being a bit dramatic xD) when I was close to the ending and she was still going on with the wedding. So yeah TEAM CONRAD!!! Jenny Han needs to make these books into a movie!!! They were soo goodd.

Team Jeremiah!! I just didn't like the way the author tried to make us hate Jeremiah so that we would supposedly be happy that she ended up with Conrad.
I think the way she portrayed Jere in the last book was very realistic. Nobody is perfect and you could tell that Jere was a bit immature in the first two books. You just didn't want to see it because he was so sweet to Belly.

Hmm, it's hard to say but I think Jeremiah. Conrad is so difficult! I struggled to ever understand him or his thinking or what he was doing because he never seemed to express how he felt! I do like his character but I feel that he messed Belly around too much whereas poor Jeremiah always loved her.

I always liked Conrad for Belly. They just seemed like a perfect match. I think Suzanna also always knew Belly and Conrad were right for each other. I never had a problem with Jeremiah until the last book. He acted like a jerk and I don't believe in a second chance after cheating. He was also just a bad match for Belly.
Conrad went through so much, and that's why he was such a jerk in the beginning. His mother was dying, he's not going to be perfect.
I agree with Danielle's comment. I LOVE Conrad. He has always loved Belly, that's plainly obvious. He just didn't and couldn't share his feelings with all the stuff he was going through. Plus, like he says in the book, he wasn't able to be the right person for her back when she needed it. He had to go fix himself and become the man he is at the end of book 3. Jeremiah, I think he has always loved Belly but I don't think it's in the same way that Conrad had. It's a totally different love and if he loved Belly the right way he wouldn't have been so immature or cheated on her. Jeremiah has a LOT of growing up to and he wasn't a good match for her in the end. Belly and Conrad had a connection that she never had with Jeremiah. It's also great that when Belly does get married, it's at the right time in her life.. AFTER she went out a lived a bunch and grew up a bunch and when she is in her early 20's.
Belly's realationship with Jeremiah and Conrad are very complex and different. Jeremiah is Belly's best-friend and they have that connection that Conrad and and Belly don't have. But Conrad is Belly's true love since she was ten. So I guess she made the right choice by chosing Conrad because Jeremiah wanted all of her, that he would never get because Belly would never let go of Conrad. I personally was heart-broken and hysterically crying when I finished this book because she chose Conrad. Conrad left her and Jeremiah promised to never leave her. If I was in Belly's shoes I would have chosen Jeremiah, but I respect Jenny Han's writing style and I see why she wanted Belly to chose Conrad.An absolutley wonderful book that I recommend to everyone! I love you Jenny Han!
Conrad did leave her but he will never leave her now as for Jeremiah, he says he would never leave her but who knows, in the end he could have. He had way too much growing up to do and I don't think he truly respected Belly all the way which he proved over and over in the book with his selfish and immature ways and by cheating on her when he knew she was still a virgin. To me that's a big slap in the face. He couldn't have waited for Belly? He had already waited 2 years..... As for Conrad, he couldn't be the man Belly needed so he let her go. He did the right thing and stepped out of the picture and he changed and became a better person which in the end was a good decision so he could fully give himself to Belly the right way. Because of this I believe he will never leave Belly. Also, he had the connection with Belly that Jeremiah never had and Belly could never truly and freely give all of herself to Jeremiah as she never could get passed what she had for Conrad as much as she tried to.

Really, I think ultimately Conrad was the better man for Belly because he was mature and independent and was actually there for her. Though, that isn't to say that Jeremiah wasn't there for her, because he was. But he just didn't have that 'connection' that Conrad and Belly have.
Also, (as an aside) just because they broke up over Spring Break doesn't mean that it is right that he goes and screws the first girl he sees, you know? If he really really loved her, he would have been upset about the break up and wouldn't have even done it.

Then Conrad became the man, I always knew he would be, which is why Conrad desired Belly.
okay i the first book i didnt like conrad why becuase he didnt love Belly and she was crazy over him. Second book i didnt hate him as much as i did in the first book only when they went to prom and i loved Jere even if he wasnt meant to be with Belly and the lost book i loved because it was sssssooooo sad and happy. I loved so much how Jere treated Belly even though he cheated on her but towards the end was the best part because Conrad told Belly how he really felt.

Conrad of course , even though he's been a total dick to Belly he eventually figured out what he was feeling for her , he admitted to him self that she was the girl he wanted to spend his whole life with . He's no longer a coward what he did was brave ,that's what I thought that he was the one who deserved to be with Belly not Jeremiah especially after he cheated on her.

Conrad all the way. I have read book three and when you do, I am sure Jeremiah will piss you off enough to switch to team Conrad.
Conrad!! In the first two books I did like Jeremiah but he always did seem immature. So although he changed a lot in the third book it made sense since he as being a "typical" college kid. Conrad on the other hand was a much better fit for Belly. She always understood him and she needed someone who was more sensitive and caring. Jeremiah didn't take anything seriously (like the wedding planning) and just bugged me the whole third book.
Jeremiah was annoying and he was too immature!!!! So fully agree!

I think both relationships were diferent. I don't think Belly and Jeremiah had what she had with Conrad. BUT at the same time I don't think Belly had with Conrad what she had with Jeremiah. Jeremiah gave her things, Conrad never did. I think she loved them both, equaly. But Conrad had the thing of being her first love and with all that strength. And the fist love is special. And she loved him for really long time. But the thing is, Jeremiah got her in ways that Conrad didn't. She could fell safe with him, knowing he would do everything for her, and be there for her. She never had that had with Conrad. He wasn't ready for her as he said. I think he was week simetimes. He kept sayin she was such a kid, but at the end he wasn't that diferent. So I think she loved them both, but for diferent reasons.
I didn't know that I'm team Jeremiah until middle of the 3º book. Conrad was such a jerk all the time. I dind't think he deserved her, specially after the prom and the college scene. I loved when I saw that Belly and Jeremiah were dating and really loving each othe and being a real couple. They needed this experience together to grow up. But at the end we get to see another side of Conrad, and while Jeremiah was stil childsh, Conrad had already became a man. And finally read for her.
I liked the end. She was honest with Jeremiah, I was really sad for him, but Conrad was the one for her. Although I would have chose Jeremiah for myself. hahahaha I'm more Jeremiah type. The one who meakes you fell special, loved and still makes you laugh. But I wouln't marry him so young, he was still a kid, and Im not really talking about age here.
Well maybe 4 more years.
JEREMIAH!!!!! He is sooo much better for her.At the end of the 1st book he tells her he has always loved. While in the 2nd book we find out that Conrad only started to like her at the begining of the summer before.
Conrad was a better choice for her at the end though. Jeremiah may have been good for her for a time, while Conrad evolved to a man and changed his ways. Jeremiah was still childish and selfish and I think he hurt her worse than Conrad. At least Conrad broke up with Belly BEFORE the funeral scene. So he wasn't cheating on her. He just didn't know how to be what she needed and he was hurting over the illness and possibility of losing his mom. Then he was hurting over losing her and what a jerk his father was. In the end, the choice she made was the right one.
I loved Conrad from the beginning and I am very happy that Belly choose to follow her heart. She loved Jeremiah but it was a different love. Conrad just holds back has a hard time expressing himself. It took a while for him to do it better late then never. & although Jeremiah is sweet and lovable. He just wasn't as mature thoughtful. I like Conrad! Love him.
Too tell you the truth in all of this Belly was the most inmature of all. While Belly and Jere where planning their wedding we did see a mature side of Jere when he kept trying to help Belly and she was kind of pushing him away. Sometimes I thought Belly was playing Jere. He had always treated her other than when he cheated on her.If you really think about it you might realize that Conrad also kind of cheated on her. When Belly walked in on Conrad and his ex at the furnel. Just like Jere and Belly WERE broken up so were Belly and Conrad. No excuses Conrad was a jerk. Jere really only mistreated her one time unlike Conrad who always hurt her. I think Jere would have been better for her. TEAM JERIMAH:)
