I won that book, too! Looking forward to it as I really enjoyed her book A Place Called Here. Have you read anything else by her?

@Usako... Thanks! And I'll be sure to post a review when I finish it ;)
And @Joanne.. congrats to you too! I've never read anything by her before, although I do have a copy of her book PS, I Love You that I need to read.

Viola - the ones that I've won are actual books, but when I'm finished, I try to give them away (or lend them out if I want to keep them) to another Goodreads member so that there can be more than 1 review on the book. If you enter and win an actual book, then more reviews for the author are good.

I've won 2 First Reads books and they're both new release hardcopies. I know that some of them are ARC's... and it's nice when you sign up for the giveaways when they state that it's an ARC... then you can decide whether or not you want to participate in the giveaway ;)

Cool. I just started entering to win a few, and I'll be happy with any edition I may get.

WOW Congrats Kate. I ve been wanting to read that one. Enjoy!! :)

Thanks! The funny thing was I almost picked it up at the library yesterday and then decided to wait awhile.

Congrats!!! I just won a book myself last week and looking forward to it getting here ;) Enjoy your new book!! :)

Just wait Jade! It makes your day! Then you become addicted!

Go to "explore" at the top of your goodreads page and click on it. Then look for "giveaways" and click on that. If you see a book you'd like, click on "enter to win." Have fun!

My first win was WINTER GHOSTS too from 12-31-10. Have you received yours yet? This is week 6 since I won, though I did read that delivery was approx. 4-6 weeks.

Sorry ... the above is a little wrong. Go to giveaways, then giveaways you've entered. THEN there is a drop down menu with several choices.

So did I! I can't wait to read it either. And the little gold wrapper it came in was so cute!

Congrats, it looks like an intriguing novel! =D
I recently won an FR copy of The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. Can't wait to get around to reading it =)
I think they hate me over at first reads. I have entered so many and have won 2 times in 3 years. Some win like 3 times a week. I think i was born under a bad moon or something ;)

guess first times the charm.
Hey Martha & Jo, maybe it's lottery ticket buyin' time? :)
