Margaret MitchellElisabeth Robinson
Roger Shattuck
Rebecca Skloot
Robert Louis Stevenson
This one is proving much harder for me than I thought. The only authors that fit from my shelves are listed above, and I've already read Skloot's. Not sure I'm up for Gone With the Wind, so I'll probably read either
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters
or
Forbidden Knowledge: From Prometheus to Pornography
Edward Rutherfurd. I'm not sure if I'm up for New York, though. His other books are good but I've read them.
Looking on my shelf:For R.S:
Riding the Bus with My Sister: A True Life Journey--Rachel Simon
MM:
Sloppy Firsts ---Megan McCafferty
Wicked Lovely-- Melissa Marr
ME:
Wit--Margaret Edson
RS: Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
Maria EdgeworthMonika Maron
Mary McCarthy
Margaret Mead
Miyuki Miyabe
Erich Maria Remarque
Randy Shilts
Russell Shorto
Here are some PNR and Romantic Suspense authors...Melina Morel
Raz Steel
Mathilde Madden
Marliss Melton
Roxanne St. Claire
I think I will be reading The Bluebird Cafe by Rebecca Smith. It seems to be 'quaint' and, with hope, a lovely summer read.
Margaret MitchellRobert Louis Stevenson
Elisabeth Robinson
I think I'll probably go with The True and Outstanding Adventures of the Hunt Sisters.
In my bookshelves, I found Cold Iron by Melisa Michaels. I haven't read it, so I have no idea if it's any good - but apparently at some point I thought it looked interesting!

I'm glad Robert Louise Stevenson Works...wasn't sure because of his middle name, but if he does, I have a few of his books I would love to read.
thanks!
I found Gunnar's Daughter by Sigrid Undset in our library. I loved the Kristen Lavransdatter trilogy, so this task is a wonderful reason to read more of her work!
I'd like to read something Inspirational... I'm not really looking to get into more chic-lit or mystery right now. Or some Catholic lit would be alright.
Has Melina Marchetta been suggested? Her books are really good (YA)... Saving Francesca was AWESOME! (The main character goes to Catholic school...)
Cancer Vixen: A True Story by Marisa Acocella MarchettoThe Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams & Reaching Your Destiny by Robin S. Sharma
(I haven't read either, but they're both highly recommended.)
The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope by William Kamkwamba is a very inspiring true story of a young man in Africa who sets out to better his family's lives.

It is easy to mix up which task you're looking at. I was sensitive to this task because I almost posted several inspirational/Catholic books before realizing that none of the authors fit S.U.M.M.E.R. and had to go back and search again.
Wit by Margaret Edson is a wonderful and inspirational book. (Less than 100 pages but that's okay for a 5 point task.)Some other authors that fit S.U.M.M.E.R. (not particularly inspirational):
Picking Bones from Ash by Marie Mutsuki Mockett
The Speed of Light by Elizabeth Rosner
Marshall McLuhan
Robert Silverburg
Rex Stout
Sometimes, it can be so weird. I started a book the other day and when I was looking at the cover I realized the author fits this task. I wasn't even aiming for it to but I guess it happens sometime. Anyways, the author's name is Mil Millington and I am currently reading his book Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About: A Novel. I love it because it is so true!!!
Would author Karen Marie Moning (Marie Moning = MM) be accepted for this task or does the first initial (K) mess it up?
