Hey Everybody!!! I am new, 14, and lately I have been in a slump. I have dejected to reading the 9th grade reading list, which is okay. I need some new good books, that are fantasy but not romance.

Hi all, I am Julianne (aka Vixen Pearl, aka Pearl) and I followed Stella's invitation to check out the group. I have a little book blog called Café Pearl where I post reviews of romance, fantasy, urban fantasy, science fiction, fiction and --oh, heck, just whatever fiction-y thing that takes my fancy at the time. :) I even write a little about writing, as I am a budding author. So hopefully there's something there for everyone. (I even have a sub blog for erotica, but that's another matter altogether).Sorry to say I was not able to get my hands on a copy of Rush of Wings in time for the official read, but I've put it on my "to get soon" list. But anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm looking forward to looking through your blogs, and discussing some of the great reads, with y'all.

A Rush of Wings by Adrain Phoenix right now.
We are doing it by Chapters (most read it in advance) but right now we are up to Chapter 19. Though each of the discussions are in their own string so easy enough to start playing along as you catch up :)
PS. I should mention I am one of those actually reading by chapter :)
June 15th. We have discussions going on right now by chapters so no spoilers:) Just check out the folder topics when you start reading it so you can join in on the discussions.

I love horror and thrillers, mysteries and medical thrillers and urban fantasy, and tons of YA and all sorts of fantasy fiction in between :)I'm 29, I live and work as a fashion designer in New York City and I definitely love books more than many other things, Goodreads has been a treasure trove when it comes to recommendations and ideas on future reading :)
