Karla (bookarita) | 86 comments Thanks I'm trying but I also want to enjoy each one. I usually get a book or two done a week when I can. I'm gonna go thru here and strike out the ones I read to make it easier to tell.

Finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower Sunday I gave it 5 stars. I just love stories about shy, introspective youth coming of age and I loved how it was all written in such an open way to an unknown reciever. It felt and read like journal entries and was a release of some sorts for Charlie the main character. Anyways here is my review:

This started out wise, quirky and highly entertaining. I adored the nostalgia I felt because the year the letter's Charlie wrote are the same year I graduated high school. It reeled me in deep on the difficult real issues that face adolecents but in an easy approachable way. To me Charlie wasn't a wallflower he was so brave to reach into himself so honestly and face his demons and find a place of forgivness and blamelessness. Being a mom this spoke to me at so many levels of characters invloved. Somewhere there is this little Charlie soul is in us all.

Karla (bookarita) | 86 comments Thanks Colleen I think thats my new thing this year I have wrote a review for every book I have read this year. Weather the review was good or bad it helps me remember what I read and what my feelings were for it fresh from the book. I usually get harder on a book a week or so after and find the faults but I love reading and encourage it :)

Colleen (nightoleander) | 676 comments You are more than welcome! Maybe you should look into keeping a book journal like Tracy is doing.

Karla (bookarita) | 86 comments I've thought of that before just printing off my reviews from Goodreads and then adding some of my favorite quotes I cherished from each book. But that requires organization I'm not ready to face yet.....LOL!
I'm just to busy with my kids activities in the evening and work during the day. I check and keep up on this site during the day and love that!
