Brittani Donley yea i get what your saying but what would be so bad at that i mean i love her books they are amazing and if she wrote another i think that i would read it to lol :)

Mercedes The ending was pretty lame. It had such a huge build of suspense only to be let down so horribly. I love the series, but this is easily my least favorite book. Only good part was of Rennessme, and being with Jacob. The whole Volturi thing was pathetic. I thing this shows that its going to be a bad idea to split the film into two movies. I, sadly don't think the movies are going to do very good because of it.

DragonDreamer I agree completely with Mercedes except for the part about it being my favorite book.

I didn't even think they should have gotten a baby, it ruined the story in the first place in my opinion...
If it wasn't for the baby, I probably would have liked this book, since I was so annoyed by it all the time.

yes i do agree with you

Lywana The ending of breaking dawn did not satisfy me at all i kind of expect there to be another book

Helena Definitely way too convenient in the end with Bella having special self-control. Didn't love the whole Renesme thing either...seemed kind of strange just all around. I thought book 4 got a little weird, didn't enjoy it as much. I feel like she could have gone in a completely different direction in the last book and it would have been more believable. All of the characters are kind of predictable--would have been nice to see something unexpected for the last enstallment.

Helena Emily wrote: "The book did not have a good ending in my opinion. I felt that she did not put the volturi and the Cullen's to fight with each other because she just could not describe action scenes. Why was the p..."

I agree that it seemed like she was trying to avoid action scenes and any further twists so that it just ended because she didn't want to write anymore books or something.

Ineta I loved Breaking Dawn, but i did want more. I was upset that this was the end with so many unanswered questions. I do agree with people have been saying with the big build up and then nothing, I love happy endings but i was waiting for the battle. I think its good that Bella fell into being a vampire so naturally, everybody needs there time to shine. I wish there was a fifth book with grown up Renesmee and a real battle with the Volturi

Haha, I don't think so. Them being together is just disgusting and wrong in my opinion.

Cassidy RoseEllen Clark Almost...Not really actually. The end was more or less expected, I wanted Bella to turn around and say she should have picked Jake because She wanted a normal life, then She could have broken the creepers heart and Went on her way. Some how the Imprinting on her daughter would have been broken. Win for Jacob :)

Anna McGonnell no no and no i think they should have a book and renesmee and jacob u know when they r grown up and lovers!!!! i would love that!!!

Cassidy RoseEllen Clark Oh thats true. That'd be a good story too.

Liliana Castro Agreed.

YES.

Breaking Dawn, to me was written by an idealistic twilight fangirl with no imagination. Every loose end was tied up in the prettiest and most convenient little bow and it was sickening. Really disappointed, especially after how enjoyable I found Eclipse.

Juliet Twilight books in general do not satisfy me, but this was especially awful seeing as i was expecting at least some fighting to take place. I was secretly hoping for Bella to get hurt in the battle with the Volturi, but thats because i hate all twilight characters.

Allyson I did not.like.the.ending. it was not what expected and the movie is going to be so differnt don't get.me wrong I love twilight its just I don't...its hard to explain what I'm talking about

message 71: by Calli (new) - rated it 1 star

Calli There are no words. Ok, there are some, but they are all horrible. We've got awkward angsty vamp-sex, a demon-spawn fetus that becomes the creepiest character in the world, vamp-tooth c-section, Bella's one discernible personality trait (clumsiness) removed when she becomes the most-specialest-sparkliest-beautifulest-vampire-of-all-time-omg, and a vamp-battle that is so anti-climactic, it may as well not even exist.

Seriously, Meyer, why do you continue to assume that if you just say a character is amazing instead of giving them any personality or actual characteristics, we will believe you? I don't care how many times you say Nessie (absolutely I am using that baby's monster-name) is the most specialist amazingist baby in the world and everybody instantly loves her. I don't. I think she is strange and creepy and I think it is kind of sick that you made her permanently underage while Jacob, who was nuts about her mom, suddenly falls in love with the infant. I still don't see why you kept thinking that telling me how all the boys love Bella would make me see any reason to love her. And, frankly, I still see little to no appeal in the sparkly emo fang-boy.

There was probably a plot in here somewhere, but it was so insignificant to Meyer fawning over how special Bella is, that I pretty much missed it. Between her ridiculous foreshadowing (Edward tells Bella vamp-babies aren't allowed! She has a dream of a vamp-baby sitting on the corpses of everyone she cares about! Dun-dun-DUN!) and her still pretending that this book has any point besides being Stephanie Meyer's own creepy extended daydream, I just have no faith in Ms. Meyers at all any more.

The only satisfaction I got from this ending is that it means this series is over.

Wait, there's an Edward book coming out?

sonofa.

I totally agree. I was hoping for a little violence in the end or something to make the book a little more bearable.

Hahahaa YES. This is the perfect summary of this book. To be honest I can't wait for the film, it's gonna be a lolfest.

Bahaha! I couldn't have said it better myself. A lot of people think Meyer did an amazing job and tied everything together in a bow with this book. YOU have made my day!

I completely agree! You have summed up all the reasons I hated this book... I felt like I was forcing myself to finish it, but never really enjoying it.

totally true. maybe my friends and I will get some drinks and watch it. it may make the thing more bearable and more hilarious.

-Note: I am 23. I am in no way advocating that everyone drink before seeing this movie. I am just stating that I see no other way that I, personally, will survive it.

lol that sums up how I felt as well; I was totally disappointed.

Victoria noooopeeee.

Denise Even thought Breaking Dawn is my favorite book in the series, I felt let down when I finished it. Yes, I was happy that Edward and Bella got a happy ever after but I didn't like the build up with the face off and Alice saving the day so to speak. I wanted a cliff hanger in the worst kind of way.

I don't know... like Aro and company attacking, Jacob actually running off with the baby, the wolves joining the fight... things like that.

I guess we will just have to wait until 2012 to see what Meyer allowed Roseberg to do...

Rachel Cousins I can see where people are coming from, being unsatisfied with the ending of BD but i thought it was perfect!

If a fight actually happened then some vamps and wolves would have to die. Not everyone would be able to make it out alive.

So i ask you this, could you really imaging Carlise with Esme? or Rosalie with out fun loving Emmet? and dare i say it Bella without Edward?

This is the type of ending we would have had if the fight did happen! It would have been unberable!!

And also it wouldnt have made sense. the Volturi are al about self preservation and they know they would have lost many of their army during the fight and they know they would have lost. the Volturi are the Volturi for a reason. If the fight had happened it would have gone against the very nature of the Volturi and would therefore not be true to the story.

This ending also leaves it open for any further books. I will never give up hope that SM will return the twilight saga, even if its from a different pov, such as Jacob and Nessie! How awesome would that be!!

Jasmine Salyers i want another book!!!!

Rebecca It was good just because it was the ending to the story but I thought it was very anti-climatic at the end. There was no big fight scene between the Cullans/Werewolves and the Voltari, it just sort of fizzled out. Also, I was dissatisfied with Jacob imprinting with Bella's daughter because she would grow up to be with someone who was in love with her mum, kissed her mum and probably had some "certain" thoughts about her mum. Nice.
If it wasn't for those two points it would've been ace and a great ending to the series, however, it was good because you could see them get over their last hurdle and how they will live. Even though it wasn't as good it doesn't dampen how good the first three books are!

message 86: by Anna (new) - rated it 3 stars

Anna McGonnell I don't think that it was a nice ending what the Voltori are never going to bother them for the rest of there life??? It makes no sense......don't you think so???
