Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes! Time is such a fluid concept, it seems like it could be possible at some point--though it would get complicated really fast. All the possibilities for stories around time travel fascinate me more than the science of it, to be honest :)

TPBM loves being immersed in new concepts that they don't really understand yet.

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments [@Deepak that is so awesome! I love weird facts like that :D have you read A Browser's Dictionary by John Ciardi? he has just a random list of words with interesting histories and origins in there, and it's really fascinating :)

message 7753: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments [@Grace, sounds like an interesting book.]

I do, and have spent my life immersing myself in them. One of those immersions lead me to write a course called 'Economics Debunked' because current economic beliefs and practices are, basically, religious ideology/zealotry.

TPBM enjoys looking up new words when reading challenging books that they find totally engaging.

message 7754: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments New words are awesome! It's especially fun for me to find ones describing thoughts and feelings, since those are usually the hardest things to express :)

TPBM finds it difficult to not go on rabbit trails while researching new subjects.

message 7755: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Very hard!

TPBM loves learning things that contradicts what they thought was true.

message 7756: by Jenn (last edited Mar 23, 2016 07:17AM) (new)

Jenn (ace-geek) It's interesting. A little embarrassing if I were insisting I was right about something, maybe.

TPBM is determined to read the Game of Thrones series...eventually.

message 7757: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Not really. I like the trend of complex political fantasy the Game of Thrones series has popularized, but I think the books and show would be a bit too edgy for me :)

TPBM enjoys reading crazy adventure stories with lots of witty banter.

message 7758: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Sometimes.

TPBM is fan of 'nerdy' movies or sitcoms?

message 7759: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not a fan, but I have been known to enjoy them, when they are either well written and funny, or so badly written that they are funny.

TPBM thinks that s/he saw a UFO once.

message 7760: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10165 comments If I ever do see a UFO, I hope it's not a Tie Fighter from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Ever since seeing that movie earlier this evening, I now have it on the brain.

TPBM wants to give belly rubs and ear scratches to Disney’s Pluto dog.

message 7761: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments "The Person Below Me", Hattie.

Garrison, I've not had the urge.

TPBM has drawn his/her own comics or comic strip.

message 7762: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yep! I'm working on a graphic novel at the moment, and it's pretty fun :D

TPBM likes making up flags for fictional countries.

message 7763: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I've done that a few times, so yes.

TPBM tries to create country profiles for their fiction stories so they can know about its economic, political, and social systems before starting the story.

message 7764: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments It depends on the story. If the whole country a necessity for my plot, that sort of planning definitely has to be done.

TPBM likes reading modern stories inspired by history.

message 7765: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes! Love that concept. Especially futuristic-type stories that seem to be repeating history :)

TPBM loves how everything looks in the moonlight.

message 7766: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Definitely! Especially on clear nights when you can see stars for miles.

TPBM has donated blood before.

message 7767: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Not yet.

TPBM has a foot fetish?

message 7768: by Grace (new)

TPBM loves energy drinks.

message 7769: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Some of them are really tasty, but others.....

TPBM has eyes.

message 7770: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments No, no I don't. I 'see' things through echolocation mostly, and move around with the aid of antennae... XD

TPBM likes reading old fairy tales.

message 7771: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Really!?!?!?!?! lol

If by that you mean some modern of futuristic type novel with the charters story vaguely similar to a fairy tale, then i'd say it depends on the author. Not everyone can do justice to certain types of stories.

TPBM has been to the beach recently.

message 7772: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Nope!

And I meant actual old fairy tales, like the brothers Grimm and such--though I completely agree with you on retellings. If the writer doesn't have a fairly interesting take on it, the story just flops.

TPBM is a homebody :)

message 7773: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments *sighs in disappointment*

Yea.

Kinda. Does reading count as something adventurous?

message 7774: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Reading definitely counts as something adventurous! Well, as long as the book isn't boring I suppose. Though risking one's sanity with a boring book could be branded a kind of adventure too :)

message 7775: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments lol.

TPBM is in university?

message 7776: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Nope, last year of (homeschool) high school :)

message 7777: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments cool, i'm on my final year too.

I've never seen it.

TPBM plays a sport.

message 7778: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Nope, though I'd like to learn some different types of hand-to-hand combat :)

TPBM loves the idea of pocket watches but finds them impractical in real life.

message 7779: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Yes, by the time I dig into my pocket and find my pocket watch I won't need the time any more.

TPBM has been on a plane before.

message 7780: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I actually never have! Craziness.

message 7781: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments "No, passenger trains don't travel our tracks anymore.

TPBM likes to help people, but doesn't like to ask for help.

message 7783: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments It depends on what I'm helping people with, but usually yes. And I'm slowly getting over my reluctance to ask people for help :)

TPBM is constantly trying to see the hopeful side of things.

message 7784: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10165 comments As a user of "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, I'm doing that on a consistent basis.

TPBM considers the movie Pink Floyd the Wall to be a personal favorite.

message 7785: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do not. Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction, maybe.

TPBM has found that favourite things change with time and/or the phase of moon.

message 7786: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments My taste in food have changed drastically over time, and in my taste in books and movies has probably matured a bit :) haven't noticed any changes alongside the moon phases, though.

TPBM always sees pictures in the stars, but has a hard time finding actual constellations.

message 7787: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm not the only one? I never knew!

TPBM is going to college next year.

message 7788: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Nope, jumping right into another job :)

TPBM has a reading list of classics that seems impossible to finish.

message 7789: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm reading list is impossible to finish regardless of which genre.

TPBM enjoys dusting and waxing wood furniture.

message 7792: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Yes, but I don't like taking things off the furniture in order to dust it...

TPBM loves books and movies with snarky characters in them :)

message 7793: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments Definitely, they make the book a bit more interesting.

TPBM has attempted to write a novel before.

message 7794: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Been doing that as long as I can remember :) hoping to finish one this year, actually.

TPBM has one subject they like to write about above all others.

message 7795: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments Not really. I like to set up an interesting premise and then build the plot around that first.

TPBM tries to make each of their stories distinct from each other.

message 7796: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Sort of? They usually have the same central conflicts, and I have a lot of personal character archetypes I rely on, but the rest varies pretty widely story to story.

TPBM likes first drafts but not editing.

message 7797: by Lee (new)

Lee (lee-lette) | 1840 comments I don't have a problem with either. In fact, I like editing.

TPBM is a perfectionist?

message 7798: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I'd like to be, but I'm too lazy. My brain goes 'meh, good enough.' and shuts off pretty fast :)

TPBM often has to stop being productive in order to snuggle with a needy pet.

message 7799: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10165 comments In my case, that needy pet is my elderly brown and orange kitty Smokey, who spends most of her time sleeping on my beddy-bye. ^_^

TPBM enjoys the music of Three Days Grace.

message 7800: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments YES!! Their latest album especially (I Am Machine is the best trying-to-get-things-done-on-a-deadline anthem ever, and Painkiller is just awesome) :)

TPBM likes the song Never Giving Up by Of Mice & Men.
