I'm just about to start Shift. I have to say though this series has been a tad dull compared to the myriad of paranormal series out there. It's only redeeming quality has been the werecat twist on the plot. I'm not a fan of the heroin's love interest(Marc). I'm hoping that she'll eventually start out fresh with someone new, but seeing that she's stuck on him like she is it's highly unlikely. Maybe I was just hoping for more of a mix of Rachel Morgan and Kate Daniels.

This Series takes what Patricia Briggs wants to do...and actually does it! Perfectly Written Urban Fantasy Series! I like that Rachel Vincent, so far, has left out the fey and witches (unlike Briggs). It really makes the world of Shifters believable and you really feel a part of the story.

PS-Don't get me wrong, I still love Briggs Mercy T. Series. I also Love Witches and Fey....

hey fellow readers. Just got done with Shift this afternoon. Finally the secret is out. Thank the Gods. Now we have to wait until October to see what the repercussions are. (DAMN IT!!!) I've noticed that it doesn't matter how terrible a series is: I have to finish it. (Even Stephanie Myer, and I think there should be international book burnings for the Twilight SHIT THAT THE MASSES HAS DROOLED ALL OVER. I would be more favorable if neither. It would throw a huge wrench in the machine if a European Cat came to visit and sweeps her off completely off her feet.

But on the other hand Jace would be the better option if Fayth is to be the Alpha. Marc would completely undermine her Alpha authority. Jace shows more maturity than Marc.

i think i would be dissapointed if she didnt end up with one or the other....its not that i dislike Marc but i think Jace a better fit! it is suppose to be her last book and i cant see vincent adding in another love interest this late in the series

I read this series last month and loved it!! At time Faythe gets a little aggravating, but it is good to see her grow throughout the series.

I agree I don't see why she has to get married. Maybe she needs to spread out the gene pool to where she might only have to have maybe two or three kids instead of five or six.

I think the women have to get married because their husbands become the new Alpha once the old one is gone (normally, I know her father has been helping and hoping she will become the Alpha and her husband will be her partner and supporter). Also where there are so few females I do not think the males want to share. They become too possessive.
