I haven't been too happy with some of the books she's put out in the past year and a half, but I'm a big LL fan and have read most of her books.
LL's on my author shit list until I can finish the last 3 books I bought by her. I saw Lion's Heat at Target yesterday & stopped myself from buying it for that very reason.
The first book in the series has been in my TBR pile for a while. I've heard mixed things about the series but I'm still going to read what I have
I like what I've read of Lora Leigh's Elite Ops series, so I wanted to give her Breeds series a try. After reading Tempting the Beast, I'm certain that I'll read the second book in the series, but I'm just not in any rush to do it. I don't mind sex in a story, if I feel like it adds to it. For me, most of the sex scenes were gratuitous, and overshadowed the hero and heroines growing relationship. Does that make any sense? I just didn't feel as if there was any depth to either Callan or Merinus or they were more or less sex buddies, and not a couple.
I haven't read the first novel, Tempting the Beast, but I have read at least 5 books in the Breeds series. I do feel like Lora Leigh uses the whole "heat" thing to rush the relationships before the H/h & even the readers feel a emotional connection.

From what I've read of her non-pnr novels, the relationships and the sex aren't rushed. I think the readers get time to actually get to know and like the H/H, and root for them to get together.

is finally "In Transit" at the library. What did you guys think of the book/series?"
I will say that Tempting the Beast has a great ending in my opinion. I do want to read book 2, but the series order is different from what you would think if you looked on amazon. If you enjoy Tempting the Beast and want to continue on with the series, be sure to go to Lora Leigh's website to get the correct series order.
I've only read a few books by LL that made me feel an emotional connection with the H/h. It goes without saying that she writes some pretty hot sex scenes but she's lacking in the ability to create an emotional foundation. And whats up with anal in almost every book? Anyway, this is the Breeds series in chronological order:1.Tempting the Beast
2.The Man Within
3.Elizabeth's Wolf (Breeds, #4)
4.Kiss of Heat
5.Soul Deep
6.The Breed Next Door
7.Megan's Mark
8.Harmony's Way (Breeds, #8)
9.Tanner's Scheme
10.Wolfe's Hope
11.Jacob's Faith
12.Aiden's Charity
13.In a Wolf's Embrace Beyond the Dark
14.Dawn's Awakening
15.Jaguar's Kiss Shifter
16.Mercury's War
17.Christmas Heat The Magical Christmas Cat
18.Coyote's Mate
19.Christmas Kiss Hot for the Holidays
20.Bengal's Heart
21.Lion's Heat

Thanks for posting this list :)
Thanks everyone! :DAnd thanks for the warning LethalLovely. I'm SO not into reading about the anal stuff. I read it in one scene of the Night Huntress series (I think it was the second book) and it completely ruined the rest of the series for me. Bleh. I think I'll skip over this one.
Your welcome Michelle & Courtney. I used to think LL was teh shit but a few great GR friend's introduced me to much better ER.
I loved the series...the fight for freedom and safety...not to mention the battle within themselves to earn the loves of their lives. I'm definitely a fan.
Personally hated the Breed books I've read. I hate the chemical dependency and the 'breeding heat'. It's all tantamount to rape. The Nauti series was kind of fun.
I have the Special Ops series but haven't read it yet.
I love the Breed series. I have read them all - some of them more than once. My only problem is keeping the characters straight.I have actually read all of her books. After the Breeds, my favorites are the ones about "The Club."
