I would be interested in discussing this book with you-I am waiting to hear from the Library on my 2 other books? If I don't hear soon I will retrieve your read: The Lure of the Local Senses- Do tell me how you like it-would I appreciate it after reading my multi-cultural book "Three Cups of Tea"?

It's not a multicultural book, per say. It's about the importance of place to history, community, and personal memory. You might see some interesting connections to Three Cups... in terms of the importance of particular places within that society. (Did people meet at a particular place for their tea?)It's an academic read, but with a blend of the personal. In fact, the author's journal entries are included with her discussion as I read the introduction. There are no copies in our regional libraries, but our library was able to obtain a copy for me through the state's inter-library loan. I'll post more after I've read a few more chapters.
