Lacey (crazdwriter) Lol no you don't feed them blood or body parts. That is fiction. I actually do need to get another one because Hogwarts kept flies away from the house and from getting in the house so it's awesome. all you have to do is give it water, and when it grows out of it's own pot that it came from get a bigger one and make a mixture of sand (like playground sand) and some special moss can't remember the name but they sell it where they sell the plants usually. They are easy to take care of and are soooo cool looking!

actually i forgot about the venus flytrap- have heard of that one. just didn't know people had these types of plants in their yards- assumed they needed to grow in exotic locales. i know very little about plants- every time i have one they tend to die quickly- guess i don't have a green thumb lol

Lacey (crazdwriter) Trust me Rachel neither do I..I kill all my plants except for the carniviours ones lol and if you follow the instructions with each plant oar ask for advice you can get any of them to live. There are tons of very cool speices...have a book about them and love that book.

I thought they were indoor plants or are there some indoor and some outdoor varieties?

Are you finished now. :-) I hope you enjoy(ed) the ending!
I sure did - so thought provoking. I just watched Prometheus today and it made me think of THE TAKING again.

Lacey (crazdwriter) Not yet still working on it...and some are outside while others can stay inside. A great book to check out is The Savage Garden. Have it and I love it!

Lacey (crazdwriter) Just ran across the twins name...really like Elric. It's different and interesting...I wrote it down for future uses in my own writings. :-)

Lacey (crazdwriter) Finished the book last night. Wow! What an interesting book. The ending was very cool but still makes me wonder why they came to Earth and took the people in the first place.

Yep. T.S. Eliot and the ending were the two things that won me over with The Taking :-) oh and the talking doll. Okay so those three things are what I love about the book :-) You gotta love that talking doll! if you missed that section let me know and I'll find out what chapter you need to check out.

Matthew Behling (MattyKB) | 25 comments Loved this book, and I'm one of those that enjoyed the ending. The first time I read this I noticed some strange supernatural aspects but was still thrown off by the ending. When I re-read I was able to piece together all of the religious undertones, but I never found that they took over the book. One of my favorites of his actually, since it didn't have that "conspiracy theory vs. profound human experience" vibe Dean often delves into.

Sam (sam222) | 15 comments The Taking was the first Dean Koontz I ever read. I loved it so much. I just could not put it down for the life of me. It took me about 3 or 4 days to read it, that never happens. It usually take me a few weeks to read a book, so you could tell how much I like the book by how fast I read it.

Latonya Johnson | 15 comments I liked this book a lot but it creeped me out. Enjoyed the ending also.

I'm about 2/3 through The Taking and I keep setting it down. I'm very easily scared and am afraid of so many things. I keep making the mistake of reading it at night, too. The doll absolutely scared ne senseless. I jumped under my blankets and yelled for my husband to turn on the light. It's silly, really. I can't watch scary movies, but I read books like this!

It really is a good book. I've already heard from many people the it ends on a religious note, and I'm hoping it's not done in a disappointing way.

I'll be sure to comment once I've summoned the courage to finish it... In the daylight!

Sorry for all the typos, it's getting late. Haha.

How fun!!! :-) That doll is my favorite character in the book. I love creepy stuff like that. You should watch American Horror Story - my favorite show that is currently on television.
