Just pre-ordered my Dead in the Family copy for $14.86! Saved over $11 (46% off)!

message 2: by Marissa (new)

Marissa (millionmph) I pre-ordered mine on Amazon.com for $9.99. Don't remember how much shipping was because I bought other books but it was still the cheapest Ive found so far.

Cary (vortigern) I am going to have to wait my turn at the library. I never blow cash on pulp fiction. I have plenty of classic liturature to hold me over till I get my turn at the library. No big deal I am to busy enjoying the beautiful spring.

I try to wait my turn too. My sister usually buys them right away and I borrow them from her. I try to wait for paperback to buy them.

Cary (vortigern) For real if I started buying every book I liked I would be broke. Wish I could buy the new Sookie. Every library branch in my town has the new Sookie on order. So I just made a pre library request for when it arrives. :)

message 6: by Marissa (new)

Marissa (millionmph) I live in a tiny town in Texas with a barely there library so I have to order most everything new I want.

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I treated myself to the new Sookie from Amazon, and ordered just enough other things to get free shipping. They are, however, holding the entire order until the new book is released.

That happened to me too. I ordered a bunch of stuff from Amazon with the book a few weeks ago and I didn't realize they were going to hold the whole order. I don't really understand because I've gotten stuff before and it isn't always shipped together.

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I know. I made another order since then and they split it up into 3 shipments and I had free shipping. But when I ordered, A touch of Dead, the new paperback of Dead and Gone, and the new release Dead in the Family... they're holding the entire order for the last book.

I love to pre request books. I did for the new Preston/Child book and Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. I have a lovt of reading to look forward to in May. Every once in a while I splurge on a new book but it's not usually in the budget.

Susie | 10 comments Hello. My name is Susie and I have a book buying addiction. It kills my husband to see me spending money on a new book every time we hit Target, Costco, etc.
The Sookie Stackhouse series is no exception. I pre-ordered my book last week and can hardly bear the anticipation of getting that sweet, sweet package in the mail (USPS loves me).
Next week the saga continues.

Susie | 10 comments Jayme - Nope. I have NEVER heard of ebooks. You never knew that somebody like me existed huh?
I'm excited for the possibilities that lie before me now.

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) I mean I never used ebooks but I at least heard of it.

Kelley Anne | 68 comments FYI for audible.com fans. The audio book is only $9.95 for the next week! I had planned on using a credit that I had saved, but now I'll just buy it and use the credit for something else!

Got my copy! I preordered it through Borders.com I guess so I was going to have to wait for it to ship in even thought there were copies every where.

I bought it anyhow and will return the one that ships in!
It's beautiful!

message 22: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (sleo) I got my ebook and am reading it! I'm also going to buy the audio as I love listening to Johanna!

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) I bought my copy through science fiction book club for 11.99

Jennica Camp (jennicasuarez-camp) | 5 comments Ok guys.... I finished it! I loved it!!! But now I have to wait for the next installment!! My husband said I was a junky, I guess I am!!

Jayme(theghostreader) (jaymetheghostreader) you finished it already?

Nicole (nlojeda) | 471 comments Mod
Dang Jennica!

I'm on page 20 I think. My friend wanted to ride the train home together and chat but I told her "no offense, but I want to read my book"!

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) Still awaiting mine to be delivered in the mail.

message 31: by Jennica (new)

Jennica Camp (jennicasuarez-camp) | 5 comments I think I will reread the series from the beginning. I could not put the book down once I began reading it. My husband got a little annoyed I think because I was reading at the table during dinner instead of talking to him about his day. But once he realized that I was reading a "Sookie book" he left me alone. Thank god he is so understanding.

message 32: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (sleo) I read the whole thing and now am listening to it.

message 33: by Ann aka Iftcan (new)

Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) Well, I finished mine at 3 am. Who needs sleep, right?

Can't re-read it yet--had to leave it at the daughter's house for HER to read. Sigh, those kids, always after you for something, right? And it doesn't matter how old they are (she'll be 35 on the 11th, and has teenagers but its STILL Mom, will you? Or Mom, can you. . .)

message 34: by ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (last edited May 05, 2010 04:54PM) (new)

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I'm jealous. I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive. Checking tracking online it says arrival scan 3:30pm today, but it doesn't say where it arrived, so don't know if they mean in my town or not. Guess I'll see tomorrow.

This is a first. I got an email from Amazon.com. Since I preordered my copy of Dead in the Family for $12.00, the price dropped to $9.99. So they gave me a $2.01 discount on my order, selling it to me at the lowest price. :)

Wow! That's the price of a paperback copy!

Great!

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) It's the only reason I could afford the preordered hardback new release. And I had just enough else to barely qualify for free shipping. My treat to me.

Sandra (sleo) Good treat!
