Gladys McGuillicutty I stayed hungry all the way through this book. I wanted so much to taste the food they made and have it taste the way it did. She speaks of tomatoes today not tasting like those that grew on the farm and I believe she is correct.

I'm surprised by how many of the recipes she describes are family recipes that I'm using day to day. My grandmother (who also grew up during the Depression) taught most of the them to me. So that's probably the connection.
