Hi.

Well, I'm having problems deciding what to read next! Gasp! :) Thought I would throw it out to the group see what gay scfi books really I should reading!? Any books not on my list I really should read? Plus, this is too get some interaction going on in this group. I added a 'new' suggestions discussions area for others to ask/reply with suggestions. Just like this post...let's see how it goes...

Greg Rothenberger | 1 comments If you've not read it, I would recommend When Gravity Fails. It's not one of the easiest reads I've had, but it was very interesting, and I enjoyed it once I got into it.

Brandon Fox (BrandonFox) | 25 comments Another thread recently reminded me of the book Quarrelling, They Met the Dragon by Sharon Baker. It's an older novel (1984) but as I recall there was some good M/M tension happening as well as an interesting plot. The society where the action takes place treats tall people as a different class than short people, a pretty clear metaphor for racial distinctions in our society. Tall Guy and Short Guy are drawn to each other but class differences cause problems. This novel shows up on several LGBT reading lists.

Not available as an ebook, but Amazon has used paperbacks at low prices.

Bill (kernos) | 88 comments I am currently reading A Solid Core of Alpha from Dreamspinner press. It's a psychological space SF, with romance, but not primarily romance. It is explicit. I was a bit worried in the beginning when a teen discovered what his penis could do when he played with it. This is something most males would have done as a pre-teen or even as a pre-pubescent. But there are special circumstances one could use to explain the delay.

I am quite enjoying this—well written with engaging characters. But. I'll reserve recs until I finish it.

I just finished it and put my review up. Great book.

Ryan Gielen (thelovebomb) | 2 comments I'd love to make a suggestion, hope you don't mind. My book Love Bomb and the Pink Platoon is about a military experiment that goes horribly wrong and turns an entire platoon gay.

They develop strange abilities and the military sends them on a suicide mission... I don't want to give anything away, but it's gay, it's science fiction, it's brand new... Anyways, if you check it out, I'd love to hear what you think.

Ryan....sounds very interesting. Can you place it in the Author thread as well as the book shelf so others can find it easier. Thanks for the note.

Bill (kernos) | 88 comments I'm currently reading The Rylerran Gateway by Mark Ian Kendrick a rousing, Gay space opera. It is a page turner an fun, if a bit derivative.

This book is on our group shelf, but not on the sub-shelves - would you fix it up please?

So, Kernos. You still have a bunch of un-categorized books here:

http://www.goodreads.com/group/booksh...

Would you please be so good as to re-shelf them? I'd really appreciate it.
