True Notebooks by Mark Salzman pages 169-241
I know the feeling of how it is to be a “buster”. A buster is a term used in the book by the boy characters. A person who gets picked on and gets’ told what to do by others is known as a buster. Benny one of the main characters in the story constantly gets picked on and gets his personals stolen. Benny never DEFERRED any students actions. I am able to relate to Benny because I as well got picked on in first grade by a girl. Until this day I don’t really know why she treated me in such an APPALLING way.
I was constantly distracted by the television. My sister has the tendency to complete her homework while she is watching television. I don’t really understand why she needs to have the TV on. While reading it made it really difficult to stay focus and I had to re-read every paragraph that I have already have read about five times. Next time I am going to make sure that I inform her that the TV must be off during homework hours.

I predict that what happened at the party Melinda went to the previous year was something really terrible. She keeps on bringing up her mouth and suggesting how it is deformed. Melinda even mentions that she cannot even drink orange juice because it burns the scabs. I think that whatever the reason is for the deformity has to do with the party. Melinda also keeps bringing up the other kids in school and their antipathy for her. It is really hard to believe that nobody, not even her once close friends, knows what happened to her.
I stopped reading because it was really hard for me to be focused this week. I keep on thinking about other things like getting a job, summer school, and homework assignments for other classes. I feel that there have been a lot of major assignments due this past week. It did not help that for almost every one I would procrastinate. I plan to space out my homework more this coming week so I can focus and actually enjoy my reading.

think that bullying is such a terrible thing. I feel my niece is a "Buster" and it is terrible because other kids can really be mean. I will never know what encourages some people to have such hateful attitudes.

I felt…frustrated that they could not find the father of Calli and they just didn’t know what to do. They searched but couldn’t get hold of him and all the time it was because he had taken Calli into the woods and I don’t know why. I don’t understand why they won’t believe is her dad was the person to actually take I mean he was a drunk and he was a bit abusive. I mean he is gone and so is she you can only not think it’s him for so long. The whole situation causes CHAOS throughout the community wondering what could have happened to those young girls one who can talk ever since the day her mother had a miscarriage.
I figured out that… the dad might have something to do with the loss of the two missing girls. The reason I think so because the father was a drunk. His wife talks about how he would mentally abuse her by throwing at her that she doesn’t love him and that she is cheating on him with the sheriff and that Calli is not his because a child of his would not be retarded and not talk so the kid must be the sheriffs. So I think that he was putting all his anger on his family and could have possibly done something to Calli just to prove his feelings. Although, they did say that the father of Calli never has touched or hurt any of his kids. But I do think that the father EXPLOIDED Calli knowing she doesn’t talk and always saying things to her and making her do things.

It's sad but so many kids are picked on. I am sure there is a psychological explanation for this, but it really is too bad.

This is a tough time in the semester. It's really tiring; I understand.
