I had a good second to end line at of a book. It was something like Just how perverse are you? and then Let's find out.

"When a naked man shows up on your doorstep with a bear trap clamped around his ankle, it's best just to do what he asks."

My mom told me to write a book. I told her sex sells and that would be too awkward for me to write. She responded with, "Don't worry, your aunts and I can write those for you." I was almost sick then and there. My mother and I don't have a very open relationship so it was disturbing to say the least.

I can just imagine the acknowledgements at the end of the book...
Thank you mom, for all of your wonderful sexual knowledge.
Gag.
Thank you mom, for all of your wonderful sexual knowledge.
Gag.
I was afraid someone would spit coffee if they were drinking while reading that...
Sorry, I'm too much of a prude to write about sex, so thank my mother and over 50 aunts for stepping up and giving you something steamy to read...
It just seems so wrong.
Sorry, I'm too much of a prude to write about sex, so thank my mother and over 50 aunts for stepping up and giving you something steamy to read...

"The downside of writing sex scenes is that my mother reads my books.""
Oh, I loved these books! Let me know how it goes for ya.
I thought they were mediocre. The friends were good, but I felt like the author was trying too hard for the joke for some reason so most of the jokes felt forced for me. There were a few moments when it hit, but I can totally see where people have a blast with these. I'm going to try book 2 and see if it's better now that I've settled in to the authors style. Sometimes that helps.

"The last thing I expected to see when I stepped through the door of the coffee shop was a fairy godmother."

"As last Days Go Mine Sucked"
Lia Kahn is dead.
I am Lia Khan.
Therefore--because this is a logic problem even a dim-witted child could solve-I am dead.
Except heres the thing:I'm Not

Would you classify it as a paranormal YA or more contemp?

Blasphemy!! So curious to know what you think. I wasn't so hot for the series when it first came out. HOwever, I'm a huge addict now. (A shameful addict now.)
You have got to let me know, email me your review if you have to!
It's enjoyable, but there's a lot going on in the beginning. Once you get an idea for the world it flows a little better, but until then I was lost a little bit. It's still not done yet so... about 100 pages left.

"The first period of the first day of my senior year kicked off with an academic ritual that I'd dreaded since my earliest days in school."
It continues with..."The choosing of partners."
It really was the worst. I hated partner work.

During the first one I wanted to smack the author and tell her to settle down. I see the potential, but she was turning me off at every turn by trying to keep her foot floored on the peddle at every moment.

"This wasn't a book club; it was a manhunt.""
*snorts* I"m going to read this book just for that line.

"I rode into Ashville, North Carolina for all the wrong reasons, from the wrong direction, on a borrowed bike, with no weapons, ready to work for the vamps again."
