I do think the quotes are good ones!"

Don't worry Darcy, I haven't read them either. Bought my first on at my Local Thrift Store. Sadly it was book #13. I hate reading out of order.

Everybody tells me that they work stand alone. But something is always ruined if you read out of order. +_+ So glad I'm not the only one who can't stand out of order reads.

I can't either. Here's the thing with them... If Acheron is in them at all, you'll spoil the other ones. he's a recurring character that you slowly learn more and more about. By 13/14 you know a lot about him, making him less mysterious in the early ones if you were to go back. Some are very standaloneish, but most have a running theme, or characters from other books that could give something away.

I didn't know that one was out yet. I really liked the first one.

A lot of this book, I spent confused, lol. But it all came together at the end so I'm definitely looking forward to the next one.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) | 2445 comments Yeah it was a bit confusing at first. Even after finishing it I still had a huge question mark hovering over my head. The reread made everything click. I didn't have any trouble with the next books.

message 166: by Vivian (new)

Vivian (_vivian) Yay! I was hoping the next ones would be less confusing.

They follow much smoother. Once you get past book 1 you're armed and ready to use your brian cells!

I'm trying to find away to read the first book with out buying it. Do you have to read Fantasy Lover first to make the series click better?

Well, his character and those in the book come into play a lot so it would make life easier if you did. It's completely different than the other one's, but Julian keeps showing back up and I'm starting to think it would just be better to read it first. does your library have it?

I liked high school, but I hated a lot of the people. If I could have just gone by myself or with a select few it'd have been great. blah... i just remembered 5:45 morning practices in the pool. I hated getting up that early to jump in a cold pool.

"IN THE pool" Swim and Water Polo

Sorry, maybe you meant it that way. It sounds like you mean shooting pool with cues.

Ya. No problem. That's just why I was asking to clarify. I swam because it's the only way I could play polo. Swim interfered with softball so I had some long days in during spring season.
