King of the Tree Fans discussion
Book Seven The Birthing Tree!
Yes, I'm excited, too. It's been a long three years getting this book prepared for publication. I think you'll like the end result.

Oh come out, come out, come out.
Fred: You know, saying it over and over again isn't going to make it happen.
Get out of here!!!!
P.S. Fred is not real, he is get a character Robin and I made to annoy us in our e-mails and he does a good job. Sorry if I seem a little weird, but I am, so.... (I talk to Robyn too much, lol.)

This is Fred. I love to annoy people. And you made me that way! Now you're going to have to come up with a Goodreads profile for me. I want to be...let's see...a genuine genius who invents an anti-gravity device. I live in London, England. That will do for a start. :)
Actually, did you know he's on youtube? He is! Robyn found him, just type Fred and you'll see what I mean, lol. How do we make a Goodreds Profile for him? I don't have another e-mail adress!
Well, yeah, you would need to create an e-mail address just for Fred. Of course, that would be fraudulent, so you might get into trouble with Goodreads.
Forget Goodreads, I'd get into trouble with my MOM and that would be much worse, lol. I've been begging her for a different e-mail address so it would be easier for me to contact the publisher, but she still says no.. *Sigh*.
You don't want to get into trouble with your mom, do you? (Or with God.) But why would a different e-mail address make it easier for you to contact your publisher?
Because mine has a child block thingamobob, so I can't receive e-mails from some addresses and I can't receive attachments or pictures. So it makes it frustrating when trying to stay in contact with the publisher.
You don't have to worry about that with WinePress (once you get started w/ them, anyway). They have a web-based communication system called the "Co-Captain." It's kind of like Goodreads. You log in and then you can post messages. You can also upload/download files to/from the Co-Captain. I used it for the first time with Book 7, and it works pretty well. You can upload your book files and illustration jpegs, etc. on the Co-Captain without using e-mail at all.

RV = Random Voice, my strange made up not real character. hehe
RV Yep that's me!!
I thought I duck taped you
RV Ummmm...yea but I do have my ways
*glares* (sigh)
Now, Fred, RV, I am making a rule, Leave the goodreads discussion things alone. You're are making me look stupid. Got it? (Oops, I forgot, we got rid of Fred and RV, *sigh* Tell them this when they come back, okay.)

Look I gotta go and find out what she's up to...
I'd be scared if I were you. Though, Rob, in the groups, could you please call me Redwall, or Red. I don't mind you calling me my nickname any other time except that I can't give away my real name and that's very close. Thanks! *Can't wait till tomorrow*

Yeah, well, with RV you kinda have to do that. Just remind me never to ask you for scissors when I'm at your house this summer.

BTW - Don't ask me for scissors at my house this summer!
Speaking of scissors, all the Book 7 cutting and pasting and editing is done. This new book is ready to go to press. The countdown is about to begin! Mae'r Goeden yn fyw!

Summer is coming, when you should have more time to read, right? ;) What are your plans for this year's vacation?

Are you serious? You're coming to Oregon to visit RedwallCrazy? That IS exciting. Please let me know when you'll be here so I can come down to meet you. You'll love Red. She and her family are great! Blessings!

Oh—I didn't realize you had lived in Oregon before. The weather here has been unusually wet and cool. It is finally warming up, but it's still not typical for this time of year. I'll look forward to meeting you. Have a good trip, whenever you leave. God bless you!

Hi, Mikaela. Yes, I believe Book 7 will be out in time for the Oregon State Fair. (Please pray for a speedy, trouble-free printing!) I'll look forward to seeing you at the fair. God bless you!
That's very typical for first-time authors. It takes a long time to get the first book cranked out.

I hope you have fun with your writing. It's always good to have someone else take a look at it to give you tips.

And (to Mikaela) the first couple chapters (of the first book especially) are always difficult because you are introducing a whole new story of characters that no one else knows. Congrats on the progress! :D

I should mention that if you're on Facebook, Windsong has his own FB page. It's called "Windsong the Griffin." If you scroll down the page, you'll even find photos of him engaged in various activities. It's a fun site. Enjoy!

Well, this is one site that will be safe for you to visit. Windsong is a very trustworthy griffin. ;)

Book VII in the King of the Trees series, The Birthing Tree portrays Gaelathane’s perfect love, which molds the lives of a prince and princess into one.
