After seeing Prick Up Your Ears, I used to wonder if any of the library books defaced by playwright Joe Orton and his companion Kenneth Halliwell had been preserved; they had received prison sentences because of these antics, along with removing art prints to decorate their walls. It only took a minute on Google to find that the entire collection is being kept by a historical center. I've never encountered anything this elaborate; usually, it's just some crackpot scrawling idiotic marginalia.
