Tammy yeah Lassiter is the guy who shows up with Tohr. the thing that's missing is why the Brothers and even Rhev were instantly antagonistic to him. He's not mentioned in Covet which is the first of the Fallen Angels series. Which kinda pissed me off because I figured he would be the link to the Brothers. She uses "guest" appearances by some of the Brothers and Marie-Terese, the head hooker at ZeroSum, is the heroine.

Help me out - I'm not liking it much - is it just me? Or has it finally happened, and this isn't the same series as Dark Lover anymore?

My friend Mel mentioned that one of the things that bothered her was the amount of cuss words among other "cool" terms?LOL

I just finished V's book and I really liked it until the ending. Come on. A ghost?? Really??
I don't mind following the subplots/peripheral characters, although there were more than usual this time. What really annoys me is when we are in the Lessers' POV so I'm glad this book didn't have that.
I really like Ward's writing style, however I felt some of the expressions were out of place coming out of Jane's mouth.

I'm with you, Rossy! Except I don't mind zombies and ghosts as a rule. I'm actually a huge zombie movie fan and I'm writing a zombie Christmas story right now. LOL. Except the zombies are just the bad guys in mine, not the romantic couple.

I think what made me so mad was that she had built V's story up so much in the book previous, then didn't carry through - and it felt like she f***ed him over big time with the end of his book. He deserved a proper HEA, imo, and that wasn't it (again, imo).
Harper, a zombie Christmas story? Are you posting it anywhere we can read it?

That's exactly how I feel about it, Tammy.
About the zombie Christmas story, I'll be posting it (probably a few days before Christmas), most likely here and on Literotica, though I'm tossing around the idea of making a PDF of it, too, so people can put it on their ereaders if they want. But it's going to be M/M and there will most likely be sex toward the end (one scene, not sure how graphic yet). I can't remember if you're a fan or not.

I didn't care much for V's book because of all the Brothers, he's the one that she told the least about in the other books. I was really expecting more about him. Then I read his book and I finished thinking dang that's all? The whole part about the ghost and him being the Scribe Virgin's son was a bit much. I was so ticked off about Jane dying. I mean the Scribe Virgin cured Mary's cancer which was fate but she couldn't do anything to prevent her son's mate from dying? Didn't seem logical to me. Also, the whole Jane and V relationship was a bit stunted. I understand bringing Jane back because no way could she have left V without a mate. She just should have found a better way to do it. I would have been more accepting of her reincarnating Jane in another body and V having to woo that person.

'reincarnating Jane in another body and V having to woo that person'
Drq, I would have loved that twist to the story! What a book that would have been.

@ Drq - I would have definitely preferred it if she had killed Jane off and reincarnated her. It would have been a good twist, I think.

Two things. What's the deal with bringing Muhrder back in the abstract? I kept wondering when she was going to tie him into the story but I still don't get it. Also whyyyyyyyyy didn't she use this as the avenue to reveal who John is? It was perfect since she built a history between Tohr, Darius and Xhex? I'm beginning to seriously wonder about Ward.

That would had been great. Too bad she didn't think of that.
