Seth went to the designated spot the next day, hiding to see who would show up before he came around.
Anya wasnt exactly trying to draw attention to herself. She hated paying this much. Oh well. She had to try this man out. If it didnt work, she would have to pay for his silence. she glanced around, trying to peg the person who had talked with her that night. She sat next to the fountian, waiting and watching.
Seth walked out, quickly making his claws flash the light into her eyes before retracting them.
Anya glared, temporarily blinded. It didnt last long, and by then, Anya had already created a barrier for herself. She watched him cautiously. "I guess your him?" She casually took teh phone out of her pocket.
Seth grinned. "Half now, get the job done and get the other half." He said.
"Well, dont you get right to it." She flashed him a smirk, before walking up close to him, handing it to him in a sly manner. "You can count it later if you dont trust me."
Seth had already counted it as she handed it to him. "What's the target?" He asked.
"That man in teh green petticoat next to the fish stand has a sapphire that Ive had my eye on for a while."
Seth clicked his teeth. "Where does he store it?"
"It depends. Sometimes its in his pocket on his coat jacket, others its in his wifes purse, and sometimes in his back pocket. Thats the difficult part."
Seth scanned the target. "Slight bulge in his back pocket. That's gonna be a problem."
Seth already had the gem in hand and was walking back. "Zinga." He said under his breath.
Anya was impressed...not that she let it show. "Lets the h*ll outta here." she slipped into the crowd, only a practiced eye could have found her hiding in plan sight. She was almost possitive he would find her....he was kinda actractive in a rugged way...she shook all of those thoughts out of her mind.
Seth was right behind her, easily sliding through the crowd.
Anya sighed. He had her gem. She went to one of her many hideouts. It was calm and secluded. she looked at him, then held out her palm, the money in hand.
Seth swiped his hand, taking the money and putting the jewel in her hand at the same time. "Thank you very much." He said, counting the money.
"And thank you. Dont be surpised if I hire you agian." She turned ot walk away.
((do you mind if they someday fall in love?))

((Not a bit))
Seth grinned. "I won't." He then answered a message on his phone. Another assignment.
Seth grinned. "I won't." He then answered a message on his phone. Another assignment.
"I am one of the best." He said. And practically vanished right there.
"Fancy meeting you again." He said. "I don't recall any assignments from you."
"Im a big girl. I can work by myself. Besides," she added in a scemeing whisper. "I cant keep hiring people to help me. Ill go broke at their prices."
"All because we know how our business should go." He whispered back. "We don't need anyone giving us the slip. My claws have already drank the blood of several who tried."
((i gtg soon))
"Ugh...I know. Killing is so much cheaper then paying for silence that can be broken with one idle threat." She had yet to even tell him her name. She kinda liked it like that.

Seth shrugged. "Most people will do anything for money, and turn right around if paid more."
"It's a way to make a living, but you need to be smart with it."
"Our you'll be the one being killed or sold off." She ahd done it herself...at her last lover. He had got to cocky. She had finished the threat. Her face was serious.
Seth flashed his claws. "Only if you are stupid."
"I never underestimate." He said, the claws flashing back into his sleeves.
Anya shrugged. "Thanks, I think." her eyes danced playfully, "I would ask your name, but since we were just talking about the untrustworthyness of the world, I guess I wont."
Seth shrugged, a faint crackle of fire a puff of smoke and he was gone.
Seth sat at his new penthouse, wondering what he should do. He had enough money to burn for ten years. He thought of the girl that hired him. She was kind of like the others, but she seemed somehow special. She could control the wind, and enough wind could feed the fire.
Got another job, but this one requires some help. I know you are a Wind. And with your help I can do what is needed. Meet me at the West Docks at 11 pm.
Gig is 2000. I get 1000 you get the other.
