Merging whole-series placeholders

I'm not sure where in the manual this should go. Near the NAB section, I guess? I know that this issue was discussed recently, but it seems like the group search function is broken still (again?), so this is somewhat off the cuff.

If a book series is not packaged by the publisher as one item (such as a boxed set), the series should not be created as a fake book. Any user-created series objects should be merged into the boxed set for the series (if available) or the first book of the series (if no boxed set or similar publisher-created series item is available).

Note: It is expected that at some point a series object will be available in the Goodreads catalog as a new type of item. Until such time as this feature is available, users may not create their own series objects.

Other making that last "may" a "should", I'd leave that as-is. And probably just make it a free-standing manual item.
