Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments While we are waiting for Gator I think I'll give one to chew on.

A man's fiance is kidnapped and murdered. What then ensues is a series of cat and mouse episodes of revenge and retribution.

Ld | 84 comments is the movie "the vanishing"?

message 1559: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments No Ld

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) Jennifer 8?

message 1561: by Gatorman (new)

Gatorman | 8320 comments Hey, Michael, that's a pretty general description of the film. Can you give a hint or more details?

message 1562: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments Not Jennifer 8

You are right Gator. I realized that when LD suggested the Vanishing.

The boyfriend finds who the killer is takes revenge a little at a time. The killer in turn metes out his own form of retaliation.

Very violent very gory and throw in some cannibalism.

Now I've probably said to much.

message 1563: by Ld (new)

Ld | 84 comments This sounds like something that keeps getting suggested to me on Netflix. Hope that looking in my Netflix suggestions is not considered cheating. I haven't seen it. Is it "I Saw the Devil"?

message 1564: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments that is it.
legit way of getting suggestions.

BTW this is one rough flick. But I liked it a lot.

message 1565: by Ld (new)

Ld | 84 comments Liked this film more than most reviews I've seen:

Plot: An investigative trip into the New England woods results in psychological torment and worse for a diverse group of backpackers and their forest service escort.

Hint: 2010 movie / Trailhead begins in a movie theater according to gps

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) It almost sounds like the Blair Witch project, but the year isn't correct for that

message 1568: by Ld (new)

Ld | 84 comments It's very similar in that it involves backpackers lost in the woods dealing with an unexplained malevolent force. Also that both trips were investigative.

(also that both movies creep me out if camping)

message 1571: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments Ok I am confused

Good Bob I think the right answer to Steve's is Begotten

But did anyone guess LD's?

message 1572: by Ld (new)

Ld | 84 comments Hey Michael, No answer for my plot. I'll give the answer out for anyone curious , and I guess the next person (Bob?) can post a plot. The film was "Yellow Brick Road" .

message 1573: by Michael (new)

Michael (mikedecshop) | 1479 comments I think I will go

A beggar comes to a Spainish Don's castle where he is humiliated but displeases the Don and is thrown in prison. Later a servant girl resists the advances of the Don and is thrown in the cell with the beggar.

Dr. Zyllihapping I-Don't-Have-A-Last-Name (i_wanna_be_a_paperback_writer) | 72 comments LOL, right, here's one:

Transported to a surreal landscape, a young girl kills the first woman she meets and then teams up with three complete strangers to kill again.

It's pretty easy, actually, if you think about it.

message 1584: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Atkinson (darkened_angel) | 797 comments I know nothing of the TV listings - lol - honestly it was purely a good guess.

A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.

A couple tries to have a good day at an amusement park and is thwarted by faulty ride management.

LOL not a famous Tv listing or anything, but equally misleading!
