Tero slipped into the cave silently, seeing a small figure tossed on the pillows. So this was the gypsy elf girl. Her dragon was nowhere in sight and he tell that she was unaware of his presence. Quietly he knocked an arrow and pulled it up to his ear.
Tero started as he heard the shrill voice. An annoying fairy.... He cursed under his breath and focused on his target. All he had to do was kill the girl and then he could head back to Durges.
Tero let out a silent puff of air and released the arrow.
Tero yelped in surprise as he felt a magic impact throw him across the room. Still dazed he was barely able to register the pressure on his muscles, tying him to the ground with iron force.
"Stupid fairies, stupid elves, stupid dragons, stupid arrow, stupid bow, stupid Durges, stupid stupid stupid." He muttered, shaking his head to dismiss the stars he saw. When his eyes came into focus he found the elf approaching him. "Stupid Gypsy of an elf!" Tero spat.
"What? That I'd miss? Hardly," Tero slid a knife from behind his back.
Without speaking Tero lunged for the gypsy elf. pulling out another dagger from his boot along the way.
He dived aside, barely avoiding a deep cut in return for a scrape. Tero slowly began to circle the elf until he saw the dragon. He stiffened abruptly and began to back away.
Tero narrowed his eyes. "Always depending on the lizard aren't you?" He scoffed, slowly approaching her with his back to the dragon.
As Tero fell into darkness he could only think. I should never have taken the bounty offer,
((hum... I can't really do anything...))
Cassandra woke him up from the spell"Run now! Your lucky I'm helping to just run."she said then went back to freaking because she was small again
He groaned, "You witches enchanted me," Tero struggled to his feet, only to fall back down once he was dizzy.
"Doesn't matter! You bewitched me!" He retorted, remembering all the rumors about fairies.
"Saved me?! You put me to sleep! Who knows what could have happened while I was out!" Tero argued.
"Either way, you'll both be dead soon enough! If not me then the others will do it for me!" Tero spat.
"I'd like to see you try! Even a fairy can't have that much energy," Tero challenged. He knew he was walking on dangerous ground, for all he knew he was dealing with a powerful enemy.
Tero hesitated. "Yes..." He said, a little nervously.
He felt really unsure now. "Of course not,"
"But you two didn't fry me, like you said you would," Tero pointed out, feeling a flash of confidence. "Why?"
"Then what would you call what remains of Gariston? The village was completely destroyed! Burned to the ground by the fires only a dragon could make." Tero accused.
"Doesn't your dragon live in a cave?" He asked suspiciously.
"How can you prove that?!" Tero demanded.
Tero almost retorted about the image being an illusion, but stopped when he heard the comment of blindness.
"Fine, so what are you going to do to me now?"
"Fine, so what are you going to do to me now?"
He felt rather unsure about that. "You're... not going to change into a toad are you?'
Tero flinched. "Um... is there any other options?"
"So, my choice is stay here forever or to go back to the village mad?"
