Team Jem imo. I'm tired of seeing girls end up with guys who treat them like shit. I understand that there's more to Will's douchery than meets the eye, and that he's a tortured soul or whatever, but if that's the case, maybe he simply isn't in the position to be in a serious relationship.Besides, Will is already kind of similar to Jace, and people have already accused ID of being a Victorian era rehash of TMI, so it'd be nice to see the heroine fall in love with the non-bad boy, non-Jacesque character instead.
Wll is hot and I enjoy reading about him, but that doesn't necessarily mean he has to be the love interest.
@Cat I completely agree! Why do girls like guys like that anyway? :/ maybe they haven't met real life arrogant guys. Because believe me; they're annoying.

That's what I've always wondered actually. That maybe they forget to realize that in real life bad guys are just jerks & that there's no soft side to them. They don't have some tragic background story that explains why they treat girls badly!

Exactly! I used to find arrogant guys in books hot. But jeez I've seen them in real life and I can't stand to be in their presence ;n; . I used to LOVE Jace but its funny because I don't like him now.
you guys are so silly. Everyone knows bad guys are troubled souls who are hunted by demons when they were children and have super natural powers....only not really.I like Jem, but he is so ugh, I just think Tessa should be by herself, she doesn't need a love interest...
@Juan: don't forget this is YA urban fantasy / paranormal romance, haha - that means there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that the female protagonist will remain single.It WOULD be refreshing, though.
You know I actually agree. I would rather have her single than with Will. I'm sick of seeing love-sick female protagonists. Its so degrading.

Aww, guys don't say that! Jem isn't going to die cuz it would ruin the whole series. He's supposed to spend ALOT of time with Tess in CP, and the readers will be too attached to him for Cassie to let him die. Tt seems reasonable to assume that there will be some kiss/makeout scene between Tess and Jem (YAY! Jem is PERFECT ;p). Hey are you guys keeping up with the teasers? Jem is gonna lose his temper and hit will..so unlike him. but i cant say will doesnt deserve it, just not from Jem. Will loves Jem more than anyone knows..
so I really love Jem and hope he doesnt die. maybe it's just that his health goes really down in CP but then in CP2 they found a cure? I fervently hope so. and as to the model? yeah i agree, the model should have been cuter. and i think his hair should have been more silver/white rather then grey. it was still a beautiful cover though :)
I don't think he will die. Also, Cassie said the printed version hair will be lighter :D

He could not die! Tessa needs him! They have to find a cure! And I think Will doesn't let Jem die. Even he says, they gave up, Will searchs for a cure. This is what I think :)

i used 2 like will, but after wat he said 2 tessa, i like jem more. will is much more adventurous, and fun, and he is mysterious, and i like that, but jem is nicer, and a better match for tessa

I do like Jem, but i still LOVE Will.I know what he said to Tessa was crappy, but remember what Sophie said? She said that Will had a secret that was eating him from the inside. I bet thats why he acts like he doesn't care about anything half of the time. My heart bleeds for him...

You're right, he was just cruel but i bet he's going to get better. Cassandra Clare is probably going to develope his character, and maybe once after Will reveals his 'secret' to Tessa he'll lighten up. I hope he does, or Tessa will leave him for good.
hellooo i just joined, so this will be completely random of me... well, i personally am torn between Will and Jem.
will is better looking, and he is a real softie on the inside. he really does care about everyone around him! he can be sensitive and he is a good fighter <3 and he's only hiding his information because he doesn't want to drag other people into his mess... he's only trying to protect his friends (family)... i think some pretty bad stuff happened to him.. what i don't understand is why he can be so darn annoying! at the end of the book, why does he disappoint Tessa and the reader like that?!??!? and then he says some stupid stuff, but i LOVE his wit!!!! DEMON POX!!! <3 <3 <3 he is sooo funny!! also, i dont understand why he goes to magnus at the end... it makes me curious :P and i think that Will, like Jace, would sacrifice himself for the people he cares about and he hurts himself for his mistakes (beats himself up mentally)... but he really understands what love is. and he loves tessa, but he hurts himself for it and he tries ever so hard not to love her because he thinks it will hurt her to be in love with him. also, i think he is sacrificing his love for Jem because Jem probably has a crush on Tessa as well :)
Jem is a sweetheart... he really understands life, but i think will does too. Jem is outwardly a gentleman and i think he loves Tessa because of all those times he mentioned her to be "pretty" and i really like jem because he has a soft heart. he knows that he's dying :'( but he doesn't let that make him all grumpy!! he's pretty good looking, too but not as attractive as Will.. Jem, also would do anything for his friends, but he kinda has a limit because of his problem.... either way, he is a cutie!! he has a good intention for everyone and he really cares for Will despite Will's arrogance... he understands people and he has a really profound insight. Will quotes all sorts of deep stuff from books he's read in the past to express his emotions, and Jem uses his eloquence to craft together some beautiful sentences about life :)
i love them both a LOT, but i don't think i can my choice until the next book comes out! and i think being a JERK (in a good funny way) runs in the herondale family, because Jace is also pretty witty!! personally, i love JACE!!! and i might prefer Will in the end because he's kinda a bad boy ;) what do you guys think?? :)
Wow, this a long post :)I think so too. I can't decide (because of the points you mentioned)! In the scenes Will is with Tessa alone i like will more than Jem. In the scenes Jem is with Tessa alone i like him more... and when they are togehter... no chance... i can't decide :) It's impossible...

ah crap... i'm sorry guys, i wrote like an essay.. lol i'm a bit obsessed with cassandra clare's books <3 <3 i don't know who i would choose between Jace, Will, and Jem :/ they are all amazing... at the moment, i am pretty disappointed that Alex Pettyfer (oh lord he is amazing!) isn't playing Jace. it makes me sad :'(anyway, yeah it's a hard decision and december is too far away from now...
I completely agree with you, Meghana.Will is just covering himself up, putting up walls between his arrogant self and his understanding self. I love both sides of him, but we rarely saw his understanding self in Clockwork Prince. I wish we will soon though.
I'm really head over heels for Will, he's dark, and sexy, and etc, but Jem would be more of a... "safe choice" and why not? He's sweet, considerate, thoughtful, and kind. I think ill wait for Will's emotional wall to break down first; its bound to come tumbling down anyway. I'm speaking in relation to myself here; i find that Will and I are vastly similar. ;PIf Tessa would only take Will in and break him into a million pieces--correction: give him a piece of her mind and make the thought stick--Will wont be such a bad boyfriend. At least Jem doesn't need be "broken-in", no pun intended; he's likable as is... So as of now i am leaning towards Jem... For now...i think... Or am i confusing myself here? ;D

You know, now that i'm thinking about it, i think i chose Will because I like him. Maybe Tessa wouldn't be right for Will because he just seems to push her around. So, if Tessa ended up with Jem, that would be good. I guess i am Team Will, cause i like him better-dark, sexy, mysterious. Maybe Tessa would be more compatible with Jem. Okay, now i'm just confusing myself.
i agree with Laitoste and Palak!! Will is dark and sexy!! he's a real bad boy, and that's what i like about him... probably explains my huge crush for Jace, too... :) I think Tessa is a strong, independent, brave young lady. Will and Tessa are perfect for each other... but poor poor Jem!! he's an angel <3

I think that the Will and Tessa love-team is the fiery kind to capture readers, its steamy, dramatic and, not to mention agonizing(I feel as if Will broke my heart; how funny is that? O.o). In real life, Jem would be better for Tessa because of the fact that he is more stable. But its fiction, so who knows if Tessa and Will end up together? In the world they live in, i don't think it wont turn out to be THAT bad, and might actually last. We don't know what comes after the "Happily Ever After" of any book anyway... ;)I not sure why but, the more i think about it... Tessa and Will reminds me of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice... So who knows?
i agree with Laitoste partially.... Will and Tessa definately have some chemistry building up.. I think Will needs an emotionally strong, yet unpredictable woman, and Tessa really is the one. Tessa needs someone a bit risky to make her life balance out. most people say that Jem is perfect for Tessa in reality, but I think he's too sweet... a girl like Tessa needs a boy who's a bit rough... you knowyeah so in mind, Tessa and Will are perfect for each other... and about Pride and Prejudice, I really want to read the book, but my friends say it's really boring... is it good??
