Finished CP2 a few days ago, and I must say that by the end I'm on Team Will, won't say anything more than that. Don't get me wrong, I mean, Jem's awesome too, but there's just something about Will and Tessa that I love. :) Plus Will is just hilarious. :P

I don't think it's really fair to divide into "teams." Maybe that's because I'm passive aggressive and hate conflict, or maybe it's because both the boys in this series captivated me entirely. Following the latter train of thought, Will and Jem are essentially two halves of one soul, and though they are both extraordinarily different, they are also very much the same. They both hid or gave up their own feelings for the good of the people they loved, they both wanted only what was best for those around them, and they both loved strongly, and with burning passion. Of course, there are many differences between the two, as well. Their personalities are far from similar. Personally, I like Will better from the romantic viewpoint, but I like Jem just the same amount, only for different reasons. I think the point of the love triangle was not to make readers pick sides and split into teams, but rather to unite them in their love for both the boys in equal measure. Just as Tessa loved them both equally, I think Cassie wanted us to love Jem and Will equally, as well. That's why the epilogue ended the way it did. Not to pacify both sides, but to bring the story full circle for those who believed there could not be a Jem without a Will, and to love one is to love the other.

Okay--just to clarify, in case you got mixed up. I used to be IN LOVE with Will. He literally fit all my characteristics for love interests.

Then I sort of reread the series before Clockwork Princess came out, and Will was great but he wasn't someone I would be interested in romantically anymore.

And Clockwork Princess caused me to dislike the whole series because it was just so dumb. So technically I'm not defending Will, I'm just expressing my opinions on how much I hated CP2.

WIllx Tessa in the book was on fire. Their hidden desires for each other was so much it hurt. Right from the start their adoration was superbly palpable. I like Jem but he is not the perfect piece of the puzzle for tessa. He is much too delicate and kind for my taste.
That epilogue tore me to pieces. It just shifted in a whole nother universe of whaat.
Some say Cass clare wrote it to please both wessa and jessa shippers. Well i sure am sad for will. But Cass clare says on her tweet that Will is smiling up above, happy for his two beloved people having found each other. I just. No.

Okay, y'know what Tessa was totally in love with Will for like two whole books and then the third one she's like, "I REALLY CAN'T DECIDE." Her personality became so bland, not just because of this.

I don't think she was accepting it b/c of that. It was 'cause she was trying to tell herself she did not love Will, and that Jem was so extremely nice, and she already had such deep friendship feelings for him, so they could probably be interpreted as romance feelings. Eh.

Also, Jem was about to die. I don't think she wanted to break his heart.

But by the time I started Clockwork Prince, and Will's story started to unravel, his vulnerability and humour made me love him even more. Am I the only one who thinks that it's okay to have both? I hated what happened to Jem in the beginning but loved the end of the book. If Tessa was forced to choose that would have ruined it for me. Personally I prefer Jem but I am not all that sure that if I were in Tessa's shoes I would have chosen him. Glad I don't have to do that.

Will always and forever. But I guess Tessa is lucky because she was married to Will and when he died she got to be with Jem, and travel the world with him. So in a way she got both the guys she loved.

Putting aside that I am catastrophically in love with Will's character-- I think there's no doubt Tessa's real love was always Will.
Think about it this way: would there have even been a Jessa if Will had not been "cursed" ? Or would there have been an automatic connection between Will and Tessa, with Jem not even being considered (or Jem considering Tessa himself, since Will would have showed his intentions)
And yet, with everything going against Wessa, it was still always present.
I'm always Team Inevitable Love, and in this case that makes me Team Will

I just can't deal with that ending, i mean I didn't hate Jem or anything but more than the fact that Tessa ended up with Him and of course, Will's death, for example, for me, is the fear to forgotten because everytime i read clockwork princess i think about all the things that Will and Tessa could have done or when she said that when she found out something funny, he wasn't there anymore, or that she doesn't remember his laugh or the right color of his eyes!!!! Will is always going to be the Tessa life's love <3!!!
Finally i just wanna say that i love will for everything he did or how everyone wanted to kill him , for me it was the most hilarius thing ever!! But most of all because will was not perfect, as some of you had said, but for Tessa it was, he was more than her first love, he was her soulmate and the lost that it's one of the mains facts of why i cry everytime i read the book!! I just can't ... It's my FAVORITE book EVER!!
