Team Will vs. Team Jem

I guess were the will team. But I'm srry for tessa when jem dies will she be Will then?
I will throw Clockwork Princess on the ground and start stomping on it if Jem dies. I will take out my anger on my book. It will not be pretty.
Is that the second book? Well one team member for jem but will is wining by the lead. Jem I can understand because of his disease but that's not right if he dies. I might cry for him. But for will I kiss the book clockwork prince because well he's fricking hot.

I know right... grrrr, there's an author I seriously want to bother on email right now... about a certain death... >:( Sorry if I'm ranting too much on this post about it, it's just that this book is that closest I ever got to crying over a book... I sort of cried with no tears, if that makes any sense at all. :/ ??? I'm not sure if I would spam Cassie or not though... I love Cassie and her spoilers! But I have a pretty strong feeling that I actually WILL cry if Jem dies... :'( Dang, heartbreak at 13... and not even with real men! :P

I so agree. I don't really have a problem with Will. I even think he is really funny! However, Jem is my favorite and that still hasn't changed.

i was kinda disappointed that we couldn't see Will's charming face on the cover of CA, excited that we could see Jem, and anticipating CP2!!
I feel like the covers just keep getting better. CoLS is also gorgeous, so I have high expectations. It might be hard to find the right model to be Tessa, though. I thought they did a great job with Jem on the cover of Clockwork Prince!! I brought CP to school with me and just stared at it without paying attention to class. It was worth it :)
Of course it was! It's an amazing book!
i finished it before winter break was over i couldnt put it down so i finished it very quickly

The cover isn't released yet! Cassie told us from the beginning the order in which the characters were going to appear on the books

It's obviously going to be Tessa on the front cover. Will was first and Jem is on clockwork Prince (The Cane he is holding)
I really hope they don't get her wrong... I'll be soooo mad... I was kinda disappointed at the Jem cover. i imagined him so much more thin and lean. not tall and sorta bulky...
I can't decided anymore... at first I was pro Jem and now I like Will too, but still love Jem better but I feel like maybe Will should be with Tessa... I can't decide!

I LOVE Will. Jem is a great character too, but for Tessa I think Will is the best. I just don't think Tessas feelings for Jem are sincere, I feel like Tessa wants to love Jem but she doesn't. And she can't help that, she just doesn't want to break his heart. Tessa and Will just have so much more in common.

okay...so, let me start by saying that i like both these boys. they are very different, and in some sense you really can't compare them. to use tessa's words, one is air, and the other fire. furthermore, we, as readers, do not get the full picture. it is kinda unfair to even pick. we all love will because he's bold and funny, and we've heard him and seen how he feels for tessa. we've listened to him talk about he name and we've seen him tortured with the thoughts of the curse and her safety. this is what makes us fall in love with him.
we were not given that opportunity with jem. we can see how will and tess interpret jem's words/actions, but we never get to hear what those thoughts/feelings are from jem himself. (at least i cannot recall this from either book...i know there was 1 short story from his perspective, but unfortunately i have not been able to read it.) we do not know if he tortures himself because he is scared of losing her...we have not been able to see the emotional vulnerabilities that jem most certainly has...
jem may indeed be just as passionate as will, (he certainly was in the bedroom after he dragged will back from the opium den). but this is something we are never allowed to see. we don't get the opportunity to look inside jem's mind, as we were to will's, so we naturally gravitate towards will.
magnus said we all love what is beautiful and broken. we see jem as physically broken...we are not given a first hand emotional element to accompany this. on the other hand, will is most definitely emotionally broken, and there are way too many of us women out there who love nothing more than to try to fix an emotionally messed up boy...especially one with black hair and blue eyes.
i guess what i'm trying to say, is that will may have won this with the reader's...but it was never a fair fight.

I like/agree with your comment. We see Will's perspective but almost never Jem's. I honestly don't like the bad boy type/tortured, messed up guys personally. I like them as characters, but not as a potential guy I'd be attracted to and want to be with. And yeah when it comes to love triangle's or anything in general it's never fair.

I feel like cassandra whants us to be team Will, because she writes way more about Will then Jem, we know so much about Wills past and so little about Jems and it sounds like there is going to be a lot more about WIll in cp2 because his sister arriving and mortmain having a hold over his family, because I know more about him I can't help but be team Will

I always thought I would be able to handle it if Jem were to die... after just reading probably the most tragic thing I've ever read in a book (for me) I just... I just know I can't. I am actually really depressed now... dang. But no seriously, Jem cannot die. HE CANNOT.
