Rachel (aka. Kaiserin Sisi) (looney-lovegood) | 963 comments So, what's your opinion on the morality of birth control?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, there are already thousands of unwanted children, why should there be more if you don't plan to keep them?

Fools fall in love, as stipid at they can be, they still do it and end up pregnant. In the end, it all comes down to this, if you don't want to keep the baby or have an abortion, birth control if fine.

Yes.

I'd rather someone use birth control and prevent conceiving a child than abort it.

but birth control can have side effects that are more than likely to kill you in the future. if you dont want a child or abortion then just stay abstinent <--spelled wrong ?

Are you trying to say equals? Because teens are gonna have sex with or without birth control. Trust me. :)

Rachel (aka. Kaiserin Sisi) (looney-lovegood) | 963 comments No, I'm saying that no matter what a person's view of birth control is, most reasonable people will say that it is better for a teen to have sex using birth control and not get pregnant than to have unprotected sex and end up pregnant/with an STD.

Using birth control is better than teen pregnancy.
Birth control > teen pregnancy

I'm a nerd...I think in equations. XD (not really)

Okidoki.

It means that I don't practice abstinence.

message 18: by Randi (new)

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) I'm really caught in the middle on this one. I beleive God will give you as many children as he wants you to, but if you can't give them a good life, then I wouldn't recomend trying to get pregannt again. OF course, you can always put them up for adoption.
So, it depends. I don't really have anything against it.

Rachel (aka. Kaiserin Sisi) (looney-lovegood) | 963 comments I don't think God gives us children. He gives us the ability to have children. (Although sometimes, due to problems that I don't believe God has anything to do with, people don't have that ability). What about people who would be fantastic parents and truly want children, but can't get pregnant? What about people who are terrible, abusive parents and have lots of kids? If an abusive parent has a child, and God gives children to the people He wants to have children, then that would mean he wants a child in that abusive home. I literally cannot believe that God would want that.

message 20: by Emily (new)

Emily | 1422 comments I don't like kids. Period. So birth control is the best thing since sliced bread. :)

message 42: by Unidragonfrag (new)

Unidragonfrag I would rather people use birth control (and I mean birth control, not the pull-out method, praying, or other stupid things) than end up getting an abortion for an unwanted pregnancy. I attest that things happen, so I have no issue with abortion, so long as its early on in the pregnancy and not their fifth one that year.

Honestly, I think it'd be productive to have girls be required to start birth control when they start their period. If nobody's going to teach them about condoms, might as well. World's overpopulated as is.

message 43: by Wren (new)

Wren (wrenreaders) I am 1000% for birth comtrol so long as people make sure they understand any risks involved and they do not get careless or neglect their health.
