I'm 300 pages in now and enjyoing it a lot :)
After a couple flights this week, I finished
and have just started
.The Iron King is definitely not what I expected, but in a really good way. I'm already falling in love with this book.
I finished listening to Practical Magic and am currently listening to Alanna: The First Adventure which I read years ago.
I am starting Kitty's House of Horrors. Just finished this Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451: The Authorized Adaptation. It was wonderful to reread this as a graphic novel!
Almost finished with
What the hell is wrong with every male in this book??? Elena's not as awesome as everyone's making her out to be! Damon suits Bonnie so much better.

I keep starting and dropping books so I just picked up the third Cal Leandros book and am reading that now. I was trying to space this series out so it would last longer, but it's not working.
I don't know what it is about the Cal Leandros series, but I am absolutely in love with it. Just finished #3, Madhouse, and it was good. Ended on a cliffhanger though... #4 is on my list of books to read for Challenge 2 as well. I may have to start reading it. Actually, there's no way I can't read it. I'm sure it'll be the same case when I finish #4 and when I finish #5... I will be depressed as there will be no more to read until the next novel is released. [assuming #5 isn't the last:]

I would hate a book and then like the next one okay, then hate the next one, and so on. If this one's not good, I'm not going to waste my money on it.
Laura Ashlee wrote: "Melodie wrote: "Lazuline wrote: "Almost finished with

I tried to re-read the series a year ago and thought it was, umm, not that great and kind of boring. But the same thing happened when I tried to re-read the Twilight books.
Oh well. They were good the first time around. :)
Theresa wrote: "Laura Ashlee wrote: "Melodie wrote: "Lazuline wrote: "Almost finished with

Finished Nightlife today, and though I'm not going nuts over it I did like it. I might read the next in the series before I make up my mind on it. I don't know, I guess this is just one of those books where I'm stuck on the fence.

There are flaws in these books, but the way I feel for the characters surpasses that beyond any reason.
I just finished up the fourth book, Deathwish and I loved it as well. There were a lot of things repeated [stuff the characters were thinking:] in this one so it made for a bit of a repetitive read, but again my love for the characters blinded me to that - well, I noticed it so it didn't blind me, but it sure as heck made me not care about it.
I'd start on the fifth novel, but I need a break from the emotional roller coaster this series is able to throw me on.
Now, I'll work on my Dystopian novel - We by Yevgeny Zamyatin. If I can't get into it I'll start in on Atlus Shrugged or Wheel of Time #1 since they are beefy and shouldn't be put off till the end of the challenge.
Melodie wrote: "I'll probably read this over the weekend as my copy came Monday."I am hoping it is as good as I hope.
With the long weekend I am hoping to get a lot of reading done along with other fun stuff. Here are the books that are next for me.

[b..."Darcy,
Just to warn you, I thought [book:Devour|2066914] was terrible! I couldn't even finish it, and it takes a lot for me not to finish a book. Good luck with it!
I'm about half way through
and I'm really not that impressed. It's ok, but not great or even good. Just ok.

Good to know. I will go in with low expectations then and hopefully I will like it then.
So, the group of books I had been planning on reading were mostly stinkers and I gave up 3 out of the 4. I am hoping the next ones I have will fare better, here they are.
I started and finished Kitty and the Silver Bullet, and Hunted by the Others by Jess Haines. I thought it was pretty good, especially for the first in a series. I'm looking forward to the second book, just not the wait. Not sure what to start next.

, pretty good read. I haven't read the others.
... I can't wait for the next Dresden book. *sigh*Finished up Unperfect Souls by Mark Del Franco, it's the fourth in the Connor Grey series. I enjoy this series, but wish it would get away from the politics for a book or so.
Now I'm starting up Eye of the World by Robert Jordan, book one in the Wheel of Time series. Third book for the reading challenge. @_@
Finished Jason Dark-Ghost Hunter Vol. 1: Demon's Night by Guido Henkel. Fun little read. Can't decide what to start next. Either The Sweet Scent of Blood or a trip to Simon Green's Nightside. :) Or something else entirely. I think I might be in a bit of a slump.

I just love them, John Taylor is an awesome character. So far I like anything I've read by Simon R. Green; ever since reading Blue Moon Rising I've been hooked. I really like that there are some genuinely creepy moments in the Nightside books, along with humor. They are just fun books to get into.

I just finished Lover Enshrined. It's good, if you're not looking for the romance between the main characters. Definitely moved the series forward to ultra-exciting!
In this category, I am reading Magic in the Shadows by Devon Monk. I have liked the others in this series and this one has been interesting so far.
I just finished
3 starsnow reading
I have had this for a while and am looking forward to reading it.
I started Spectre by Phaedra Weldon yesterday, shorty after I signed off of here. I don't recall too much from the first book, but I'm loving this one so far. So it definitely wasn't because of the writing that I didn't pick up the second one sooner. I think I just forgot to look for the second one when it came out... I'm already looking forward to reading the third, Phantasm.
