What are you reading? (Part 2)
Darcy wrote: "@ Chelsea ~ Obsidian Butterfly is my favorite of the series. I love Ted!!"Ditto!! Even if Edward was the only character carried over from the other books, I loved that one. :)
Just finished
really liked that one quite a bit.Now reading
and I am lost and confused this one may go into the could not finish pile.

Mia (Lounging with Books) wrote: "I'm still working my way through Rosemary and Rue. I'm having a really tough time getting into it. I'm also reading Nightlife and The Looking Glass Wars. I..." For some reason Nightlife just pulled at the heartstrings for me. I want to read the next books, but I have to take a break before I can handle another one.
I'm now reading Already Dead by Charlie Huston, but I'm not enjoying it much. The main character really is unlikeable.
now reading: Magic Study by Maria V Snyder and Fragile Eternity by Malissa Marr. Im prob about to start Impossible By Nancy Werlin although I dont like the beginning and Im still reading A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.

Already Dead has a crappy protagonist and there's far too much cursing in it. Seriously, seeing the f-bomb over a dozen times in a page is just too much. It's going on hold until I can stand to read a few more pages. Now I'm reading Dead to Me by Anton Strout. Hopefully this one will have more to offer.
Put reading
on hold temporarily while I fly through
. I haven't done zombie books before -- digging it.

I finished Magic Study and so far its my fav of the series but you never know I still have to read Fire Study.
Chakara wrote: "I have checked out The Forest of Hands and Teeth and cant wait to read it myself."I'm nearing the end -- and it's really good. I already know I'll have to pick up the sequel
The Dead-Tossed Waves.
Stopped reading the first book in the Simon Canderous series. Seems like it would be more suited to a younger audience. So I started Moonshin by Rob Thurman. It's the second book in the Cal Leandros series and I'm already liking it. There's just something about the writing in this series that I love.
Started reading Living Dead in Dallas. Not bad so far, though it doesn't seem to compare to the HBO series. I'm starting to see the two series as entirely different stories. Easier to read the books that way. :)
Becca wrote: "Started reading Living Dead in Dallas. Not bad so far, though it doesn't seem to compare to the HBO series. I'm starting to see the two series as entirely different stories. Easier to read the book..."I read the books when they were first released so have had no trouble separating the two. The show is very little like the books, to me anyway.
The Host Almost halfway through. It's great so far! Even you Twilight haters out there should give this a try.
I read The Host a while back and it is a really good book... and I'm one of those Twilight haters. It be neat to see a sequel to it, just to see how things have changed since the ending events. Still reading Moonshine by Rob Thurman. I'm not that far into it, gaming has gotten in my way unfortunately, but it's good. I love that the characters introduced in the first book are still a part of this one.
Finished
and really loved it. Read my review (no spoilers) over on Vampire Book Club.I'm still working my way through
. It's long, but I think I'll finish tonight.
I started to read The Better to Hold You, but put it down. I couldn't get into it. I'll try again later. I am currently reading Slave to Sensation. It's ok so far. I'm trying to read some of the the books I've had around for a long time. And, of course, I continue to read White Night.

I put Slave to Sensation down. Could be I'm not in a reading mood. Slave to Sensation interested me more than The Better to Hold you, but not enough to continue. I'll try to read it later. I continue to read White Night. Maybe I'll finally finish it, if it's the only book I'm reading!Valorie, I agree, the Harry Dresden books are great! Currently Harry's going through some anger issues. I wonder if he'll come to terms with his negative emotions. But then there is always some kind of nasty monster, fairy, or vampire irritating him and his anger often keeps him alive.
Finally finished

last night. It started out strong, but I really struggled to finish the last half of the book.Started
this morning.
Just finished up the second book in the Cal Leandros series by Rob Thurman, Moonshine. I liked this one just like the first, but I think the relationship between Cal and Georgie should have been held off for another book or so. It was kind of too soon for something like that to develop. Now I'm thinking about what I'll get into next. I might try getting into Dead to Me again by Anton Strout, but I'm not sure.
Started reading Street Magic by Caitlin Kittredge. I had started this a bit ago and then stopped reading it for some reason. Now that I've started it again I have no idea why that was. Hopefully this will turn out well. It's a female POV and so far she seems just normal. Not some sexed up super chick.

You ladies were right -- really enjoyed Obsidian Butterfly.
I just started reading
I gave in to my urge to read more of the world of Mercy Thompson. I am weak... But, in my defense I had a bad day. So, I started Bone Crossed ahead of schedule as a pick me up. So far it's working. Yay!

I just finished SB, and didn't think it was so bad, it was a filler book though.
