If you start listening to audiobooks on your Kindle you will get there!

Bluemoon that's a good challenge! I think I will do the same... I will challenge myself though, and say min. 100 but try for 115!

Okay... seeing as it's about to be the beginning of a new year I have been doing some thinking regarding my reading goals for next year. I don't go through nearly as many as most of you, but since I roughly made it through 40 books this year I think I'm going to up my personal number to 52. This way I should average about a book a week. As part of those numbers I intend to read one book a month in Spanish. And... stealing this from Bluemoon I also think it's a great idea to have at least one book a month be some type of classic literature. (Although I don't think my Spanish is good enough for me to attempt classic Spanish literature... I cringe at the thought! Yikes! ) I'm motivated right now, but we'll see how things go this summer (that's always my slacker reading season... too many other things to do)
This is my third year in a row attempting to read 200 books in a year. I'm still trying to catch up blogging the books I read last year, but I think I made just over 110 (I have to look it up, and it's not on this computer.)Summer is always a hard year for me too, because the libraries I work at are so busy that I just want to crash when I get home. I'm hoping for a good start this year, and I'm pushing myself to blog a book a day in January to catch up.
I put 110 for my Goodreads challenge, and I'm at 66 right now, plus the one I'm currently reading, so I think I'll make it!
Haha yeah I slowed down a little bit in March. I read through a really quick series in January in like a week that had 13 books and then the spin off of that which had 5 so I think that gave me a good head start!
oh no Bluemoon, don't feel bad. 18 is A LOT for most people, especially in 3 months! Plus you have a good excuse to not have as many, you have a job..responsibilities....a life... haha!
My goal for books read for the year is 40, but I'm already at 20, so I'll probably raise that a bit. I admire those of you that have goals of 200!
I can't listen to audiobooks unfortunately. I have to actually physically read a book in order for me to pay attention.
Hey..they are not for everyone! I just think certain characters are really brought to life with audio (Jacky Faber and Georgia Nicholson for sure).
My goal for the year is to finish writing books 2 and 3 of my YA Urban Fantasy Series, Gateway. My goal for the next 3 months is to get book 2 done.
Hey, Christina - nice goal! I'm also working on a "coquel" to my current book and plan to finish in the next 2 months, and then start the sequel to the two books (does that make sense?!!)And yeah, 100+ books... I think I may have done that in high school, but nothing close to that since kids were born. I'm thrilled if I can stay awake long enough to read 100 words a night!!!!
My goal this year is 60 books. I read less than that in 2011 so I think this is a good goal.
This month, I've read 7 books which is a record for me. Woohoo! Wish there was a way to finish my current book today so I could make it 8 but that's not going to happen.
What are everyone's goals this year?

50... i have no idea how you guys are able to read 100+ books a year :|even if you listen to audiobooks, they last many hours and sometimes you don't have time to listen, so i don't know how you do it!!
I have no idea either, Erika. I'll be lucky to read 50. ;)
My goal this year is 100. I had the some goal last year and beat it by about 40 books. I didn't want to move up and then not meet my goal. I read very quickly and I don't work during the summer since I'm an educator so that helps me get more reading done. :)
Well, I just love reading books so much that it's what I do instead of watching a lot of tv or playing video games or any of that stuff, and I make it a priority to read each day, so maybe that's why I'm able to read more than 100 books each year? XDMy goal this year is 200 books (never reached it before but always come close)! And my writing goal is to finish at least half of my Liberty's Kids story (or maybe finish it? heh heh!)!
my goal for this year is to read 150. Last year my goal was 100 and I read around 130 so I'm trying to increase it again this year. :)
I am trying to read 286 books this year. An Unusual number but I try to double what i read last year : )
Dang ... and I thought I was going crazy by aiming for 100. Haha. ;) Last year I only read about 60 so I'm trying to push myself...
My goal is 118 books though I've soooooooooo far behind because I was crazy busy but I'm picking it up now!
I'm going to shoot foe a 100. I know; it's unrealistic. But I've cut my hours back at work (my dog+crazy neighbor=necessary cutback) I think I can do it! I've already read 5!
