Hey everyone, my name is DJ and i'm new here, I love to read, and write ( i actually am a writer, and have a novel on Amazon/Nook named "The Dread Witch Chronicles"). I have dozens upon dozens of books on my Kindle and my NOOK. So thanks for letting me join the book and I can't wait to get deeper into this forum!

Hello everyone,I just joined goodreads about a week ago. It's wonderful to see so many readers and authors. I'm a Kindergarten teacher and I recently published a book called Crossroads-young adult. I'm currently doing a give away.
Nice to meet all of you!
Hi I'm Rebecca- not new to Goodreads but I haven't been on in a while so I am getting back into it. Nice to meet you.
Hi everyone. I stumbled across this group and it fits me perfectly. I'm 22, from Tennessee, and love YA.
Hi, I'm Abbey. I'm 26 but I think YA is still probably my favorite type of book to read (and write).
hi! i'm liane, and I teach kindergarten at an international school in korea. our school library is my primary source for reading materials, and so I read a lot of YA, which I really like. looking forward to reading this selection- i will check tomorrow if we have it :)
Hey!! :) I'm Kara. Love to read, write, books, music and being with my friends. And my laptop, of course. Oh yeah, and Glee. :P
Hi all! I'm Brett Battles, author and reader. I love YA, and, like a lot of others here, count THE HUNGER GAMES as a recent favorite. I have two girls just moving into the YA age range, and am always looking for books to suggest to them. Looking forward to picking up some good tips here!On the writing side, I've written several adult thrillers, and have just released my first middle school/tween novel (HERE COMES MR. TROUBLE). I know that's not really the focus here, but wondering if you all have suggestions on where I might go to find folks interested in reviewing it, and, perhaps, which discussion groups would be the most appropriate. Thanks in advance!
Now off to catch up on some of the discussions.
Brett
Hello everyone!I'm an adult but I love to read YA books. My favorite are the Twilight Series and I just got into the Hunger Games. I read the first book, but haven't moved on to the second book yet. I am a 1st and 2nd grade teacher and I LOVE to read!!!
Welcome Brett. Feel free to create a thread in the Author section titled whatever you want (Help - Need Reviewers or New Book, whatever you would like). Otherwise just use one of the threads in the author section already created. Thanks!
Welcome Lyndsey!!

Hello everyone. I frequent another YA group, which lead me into this one. I have been reading YA for about two years now (started as research of sorts into the market and is now just for the pure fun of it) and am still going strong. I'm 43 years old now (sob!) and am really surprised and thrilled at the diversity and quality of YA literature out there. (Though I still think there is WAY too much vampire and paranormal romance stuff - but that's just me)Recently got myself a Kindle and am finding myself chipping away with too many books at one time...but I'm totally loving it!
Anyhow, nice to meet you all. I already see many familiar faces! :)

Hello everyone,
My name is Nicholas and I'm new to the group. I've been on goodreads for a couple of years now and thought I should start participating in more of these groups.
I live in Ohio and have been reading more and more these days (especially since I decided to go back to school)
When I'm not writing, I find myself using my Nook more and more for either horror, YA, or just a great classic.
Nicholas.

Hi - I'm Vered. I'm South African / Canadian but I've lived in Kenya for the past 11 years. I recently got interested in reading and writing YA lit. Partly from a friend's influence, and partly from a vested interest - my 2 kids: 10 year old son just discovered Harry Potter and my 8 year old daughter who thinks she's 18. (Yes. I am afraid!).
HiHi I'm Tori I'm 17 and live in Kentucky and im obsessed with books but no one i know is really into reading as much as i am so i joined this website.
Hello Tori! Most of my family and friends are non readers too. They don't know what they are missing!
