Elementals
Kionu didn't fight back when an agent untied her and threw her in one of the FBI vans. Monique let her head hang. She saw Kionu wink at her and MOnique felt relived. Suposively, Kionu was going to spy around. Monique struggled against the ropes.
Chikara blinked, unwilling to fight anymore.
Senkou sat down in the power-proof cage.
Kyori whined and yipped for help.
Inu sighed and turned away.
An officer took Ritoru's cage an through it in the back of an FBI van.
Monique's eyes flashed, flooded with memory.
-FLASHBACK-
Monique was about 10 when she and Inu swumg the door open to a pet store. Monique was wide eyed with awe as all the animals turned their attention to the small chiming bell that rang when the door opened. One puppy caught Monique's eye. He was the smallest of three and he was also the cutest. Monique ran over and pressed her face against the glass cage. Inu pawed Monique. Monique scratched Inu's head, but continued to watch the puppy play.
"Daddy! Daddy!" Monqieu called.
Her dad walked over.
"Yes honey?" He asked.
"That one." I pointed my finger hard on the glass as the little puppy came over and licked the glass where my finger was.
The clerk came over and took out the puppy and handed him to Monique. Her dad gave the clerk some cash and headed for the door. Monique held out the puppy and laughed.
"I'm gonna call you Ritoru because your so small." She giggled.
"Monique!" Her dad called.
Monique pressed the Ritoru against her.
"We'll always be together." She whispered into his ear before dashing out the door.
-Flasback over-
Monique strangled against the ropes and screamed,"No! Leave him! Please!"
The agent pointed to Riotru's cage.
Monique nodded.
The agent smirked and tossed the cge in the truck before wiping him hands together.
"No!" She cried, dropping to her knees.
"I'll get you back, Ritoru. I won't break my promise yet." She whispered to herslef.

After the inferno subsided, Ryu dropped the shield, already feeling drained after using so much of his power.
Akio flew back down to him. He asked how he was feeling to which Ryu just smiled and patted his head tiredly.
Etsuyo used the edge of her katana to free herself before running over to her brother. "You never told me you-"
He put his hand up, cutting her off. "I'm sorry I didn't say something sooner but you would've been worried about me then and I couldn't let that happen."
Etsuyo's mouth went from hanging open to curved up into a smile before she hugged him.
Sora groaned groggily after Orihime shook him awake. "Daijoubu?" she asked him.
Upon seeing her face, his eyes immediately flashed open, his body snapping into a standing position. "Doko ka? Doko ka?" he repeated, looking for the enemy.
Orihime laughed half-heartedly, her hand covering her mouth. "They're gone," she told him.
His wild eyes softened. "Wagatta. Kimi ga...daijoubu ka?"
She laughed again. "If I wasn't, would I be kneeling in front of you like this?"
He laughed with her. "Guess that's a 'yes'."
Ayame came up behind the two, Tsubaki trailing her. "Daijoubu deska?"
Orihime glanced back at her friend. "Of course."
Monique let herself free and ran over to Chikara to untie her.
"Get Inu." Monique ordered.
Chikara nodded and headed over to Inu's cage.
Monique walked up to Kyori's cage and unlatched the door. Kyori hopped out and stretched.
Chikara got Inu out and walked over to Senkou's "cage".
Senkou pounded the glass.
Monique rushed over and opened it.
Kyori growled.
"Kyori!" Monique scolded.
Kyori whined and walked over to Monique.
"We're safe I guess." Chikara smiled.

Akio could hear the approaching danger. "Astynomía," he stated.
"Nani?" Etsuyo asked, confusion obvious in her voice.
"Police. The fuzz. You get the idea," Ryu translated, suddenly looking more mature than the rest of the group. "How soon?"
"Dekapénte leptá."
Ryu looked wide-eyed at him. "Fifteen minutes?" he repeated, wondering if he'd correctly heard him.
Akio nodded.
"How are we supposed to clean up this mess by then?" Etsuyo interrupted.
"We don't. We leave."
Etsuyo's eyes widened. "Ningete?"
"It's the best option at this point."
Orihime became concerned. "What about those of us who have families? We're just going to disappear without a word?"
"Any contact you make can put them and ourselves in danger."
She stumbled back in shock.
"I wouldn't be too worried about yourself though," he sneered. "What about the girl behind you?"
Orihime looked behind herself and saw Monique. 'That's right...Monique-kun has a family...And I don't...anymore.' Her expression looked depressed.
"Then let's stop chatting," Sora stated. "If we're going to run, we have to do it now."
"Vote. All in favor, say 'I'."
"I," Sora voted quickly.
"Sadly, I'll vote yes. I," Etsuyo said next.
"I," Orihime stated sadly.
"I'm going with Orihime. I." Determination was the only emotion in Ayame's face.
"I don't care what you think. I'm not leaving on a wild run from the police," Tsubaki frowned.
Ryu's gaze shot to Monique's group questioningly.
.< (that has a tongue w/ it) now we pick off the ppl going to bad side while they're on the run ^^ im such a REBEL! jk jk.>

Monique looked up,"I don't have a family any more. Kionu went with the agents. They took Ritoru. The only family I have is you guys and my dogs. I say I." Monique smiled.
Chikara nodded,"I."
Kyori looked at Chikara.
I.
"Kyori's in. Inu doesn't have choice." Chikara laughed.
Monique shook her head. Chikara was young and could laugh about this. Monique was almost 15 and she was determined to get Kionu and Ritoru back. Kyori barked. Inu leapt up and barked, smoke a small light of fire leaving his jaws.
Chikara nodded,"I."

"Okay, get on," he commanded, climbing up on the massive dragon.
"M-Matte yo...We're supposed to ride on that?" Orihime asked, fear framing her voice.
Ryu laughed. "Don't tell me you're scared."
Sora smirked from behind her then picked her up, a small scream escaping her lips. Unlike Orihime, flying on a dragon that had just shot a huge fireball out of his mouth seemed like an amazing prospect to him. "Come on," he said, climbing up with her onto the huge seating section of the so-called 'saddle'.
"Sora-kun!" she complained, kicking her feet.
Etsuyo followed with no comment.
Ayame looked back at her sister. "You coming?"
Tsubaki looked with disgust at the huge, fictional creature. "I prefer to wake up from nightmares like these, not give into them. How about I fly NEXT to you guys?"
Ayame sighed. "Suit yourself," then took a seat.

Monique looked at the massive dragon. Chikara dropped her jaw.
"Shall we ride too?" Monique asked.
Kyroi backed away from the dragon,I don't trust him.
Inu whined and pressed into Chikara.

Kyroi backed away from the dragon,I don't trust him.
Inu whined and pressed into Chikara.
"Yeah," Ryu told her, looking behind himself. "There's plenty of room.
Sora laughed. "You bet. How do you pay for a seat like this? Much less find something this size..."
Ryu glared at him. "I didn't PAY for it; it comes with the territory."
Sora laughed jokingly. "You've got to be kidding. You're one lucky man."
He hung his head down. "Not as lucky as you think."
Sora snapped out of his sarcastic attitude.
Orihime looked around desperately for a way to salvage the quickly dissolving situation. "C-Come on guys..."
Ayame whipped her head around. "I can hear their thoughts."
Ryu looked back at her. "What's your distance?"
"Huh?" she asked.
He looked at her like she was an idiot before he realized he was surrounded by them. 'Good grief...I'm gonna have to meet up with Mai and Seishin again soon...' he thought desperately to himself. "How far away can you hear?"
Now Ayame looked at him like he was an idiot. "T-There's a measurement for that?"
"Who cares?" Sora interrupted. "If she can hear them then they're close. Get on!" he shouted, looking at Monique's group.

Monique hopped on. Chikara blinked and looked down, her figure fading until she was gone. She hopped up as well. Senkou nodded and flashed up to the dragon's back. Kyori climbed up with Chikara's help as well as Inu.
Kyori looked at Monique,You need to meet Ti-Lee and Shikon. They can teach you. They know me and maybe they will come with us.

Ryu looked down at Akio "Ptíseis pros to dásos," he whispered and Akio took off.
Tsubaki's wings appeared as she followed.
"What about Kionu-kun?" Orihime asked, concerned about her friend.
"We'll get her out eventually. But first...I need to take you somewhere everyone can learn the truth."
The rushing wind was the only sound.
"L-Learn...the truth?" Ayame asked. "What truth?"
"Why the Elementals originally came about."
Everyone's eyes widened.
"Th-There's a history for that?" Orihime stammered.
"There's ALWAYS a history," he told her, his face that of someone too mature to be in a 9-year-old body.
Akio roared.
"Akolouthísoume," Ryu commanded and Akio obeyed.
Orihime wanted to scream as they headed out of the clouds and whooshed like a bullet towards the forest below. Sora gripped her shoulder: a gesture telling her to keep a hold of herself. She bit her lip.
Ayame stared wide-eyed at the fast-approaching green. "Where are we going?!" she shouted over the rushing wind.
"Someplace where no one can find us!" Ryu shouted back.
"NANI!?" she shouted even louder but was cut off by the sound of breaking branches.
Orihime groaned as she was whacked by branch after branch. Sora attempted to put his body in the way to protect her.
Etsuyo ducked down, saving herself from the wood.
They finally found themselves in a small clearing.
"What is this place?" Orihime asked, looking around.
"Our hideout," Ryu said, jumping down.
"Our...?" Ayame interjected.
"Yeah." He turned over his shoulder and shouted, "Oi, Seishin, Mai!"
A girl with black hair appeared out of a small cave mouth then brushed away the ferns in the way. "Hey, Ryu. We were wondering where you were," she told him, running to meet her friend. "Whoa, what's with the newcomers? Do you think we can keep THAT many people here?!"
"Yeah, all it means is more food, right?"
"No!"
"Yes," he said slowly, nodding his head.
"You can't just bring random people here!"
"They aren't random people Mai! They're my sister's friends and they're all Elementals! Elementals that were never taught..."
"Huh?" she asked, looking up. "EVERY ONE OF YOU IS AN ELEMENTAL?!"
Orihime looked around at everyone who was looking at her. "I'm not the leader you know..." she whispered softly. "But yes," she confirmed on a level Mai could hear.
"You sure look like the leader," she told her, laughing.
"N-Nani? You heard that?"
She continued laughing. "Of course." She stared at the rest of the group that had wide eyes. "Okay..." she said slowly. She turned to Ryu and whispered, "Either they're a bunch of idiots or HORRIBLY misinformed. Which one?"
"Horribly misinformed," he confirmed and continued on towards the cave mouth. "You guys coming?" he called over his shoulder. "It's getting dark so we're gonna have to get dinner on."
Mai only stared at the group. "Y-Yeah," she called back then followed Ryu.

Monique nodded,"Everyone here's an Elemental. Even Kyori and Inu." SHe pointed to the two dogs.
Chikara became visible, adding one more person to the picture.
Senkou blinked and crossed his arms, looking proud.
Monique shook her head and rolled her eyes.
"I'm Chikara." Chikara got to the point.
"I'm Monique." Monique introduced herself.
"Senkou." Senkou nodded.
Kyori barked, no force leaving her. Inu barked, a puff of smoke escaping his jaws.
Monique turned to Orihime,"Kionu is gone. The agents took her away. She's supposively going in as a spy."
Chikara nodded, releasing a deep sigh.
Senkou spoke up,"Who are you two?" He asked Ryu's friends.

"My name's Mai!" she said, jumping up, her black dress shaking a bit around her knees.
"Seishin," the black-haired boy replied, his face apathetic.
Mai looked at him with a pout on her face. "Come on, don't you know anything about first impressions?"
He looked back at her with a cold stare. "There's no use in arguing with you," he told her, turning his head away.
She stepped back, insulted. "Omai..." she growled, her hand curling into a fist around her fingerless black gauntlets.
Seishin smiled slyly. He always loved toying with her.
She groaned a growl (if that was even possible). "I'm sick of being pushed around by a kid younger than ME!" she yelled at him.
"Then do something about it," he told her.
She growled one last time then planted her fist in his face. "Orosai." She then proceeded to sit down.
Everyone wore a look of shock.
Ryu walked in, bundles of logs in his hands and a small, purple dragon next to him. He looked around at the faces of everyone. "What's going on?" he finally asked.
"She just..." Orihime started but stopped mid-way.
Ryu let out a laugh. "She hit him, didn't she?"
Everyone turned to look at him besides his two best friends.
"How did you...?" Ayame asked.
"I figured she'd do it eventually. She was on the brink all day long." He set the logs down. "So...did you tell them?"
Mai looked back at him, her purple eyes shining. "No," she said seriously, turning her attention back to the group. "How much do you guys know?"
"Uh..." Orihime started. "About what?"
"The history of the Elementals," Seishin said, his gaze locked on Ayame.
She stared back at him. "Nothing," she said flatly. 'Why is he staring at me like that?'
"Then I guess we should get started," Ryu told them, sitting down on the cold stone. "There was an old demon named Akuryou who had caused the world to go into fear."
"Everyone obeyed him cause those who didn't..." Mai laid a flat hand against her throat and slid it across, "Were killed."
Orihime's eyes widened. "When did this all happen?"
"Dinosaur time," Seishin answered, still staring at Ayame.
Orihime began to look between the two. "Uh...Do you guys have something going on?" she asked, looking between the two.
"No, keep going," Ayame told her friend, her eyes narrowing. 'What does he want? I can't pick his brain...'
"Then Kiseki, the father of the Elemental movement, stood up to Akuryou and defeated him, sealing him into a scroll that was locked away," Ryu continued.
"Wait, wait, wait. How did he get his power? Was he born with it? Like us?" Orihime asked.
"No," Ryu told her. "He found it here."
Orihime was taken aback as she began to look around the damp cavern. "H-Here? Does that mean there's monsters and demons here?" she asked quickly, alarmed.
Mai laughed. "Of course not. This place is the-"
Ryu stuck his hand over her mouth. "If you want to know more we'll talk to you alone. The rest of you might as well eat dinner." He turned to Seishin.
"Of course," he replied to Ryu's thought. "I'll take her with me," then grabbed Ayame's arm.
"Let go of me!" she yelled then yanked her arm away from him. "I don't get you. You just stare and stare and don't say a word then come and grab me like we were having a happy little conversation?! Who the hell do you think you are?!"
Everyone was shocked at Ayame's outburst as she was usually quiet.
"Just come," he whispered into her ear then walked out.
Ayame debated for a moment then followed.
Orihime stared after her in wonder. 'Did Ayame-kun just...she's usually so nice to everyone though. She must be upset about something...'
Mai touched Orihime's shoulder. "Let me show you something," she said then led her deeper into the cave.
Sora got up to go after her but Ryu stopped him. "We have to talk to her alone."
"No," Sora disagreed, much to Ryu's surprise. "I won't let you keep a bunch of secrets."
"Okay, just don't cause a lot of trouble," he mumbled then let him follow.
The leftover, little purple turned to the rest of the group. "My name is Murasaki. I came here to tell you what's going on with Kionu-san..."
((I want kionu to go. she is not more. emo crap for monique!))
"...She's not captured. She's gonna be killed. They think a shape-shifter is the most powerfull." Murasaki finished.
Monique looked up at Murosaki.
"Why? Why her? Why not me?" She cried slightly.
Chikara vanished and trotted around the place, finding an abandoned cave.
It looks like a hideout.Chikara thought.
Two figures approached from the darkness. Chikara flinched. The figures sensed her and ran out of the shadows and out into the open. Chikara ran for them and launched a triple force, knocking them over.
"What the-" The girl started.
"It was probably that darn wind again." The boy guessed.
"It was me." Chikara appeared.
The girl crawled away,"Who-?"
"I'm, Chikara." She cut her off.
The girl stood up. The boy grmbled something.
"I'm Ti-lee and that's Shikon." She pointed to her brother.
"Really? Nice to meet you. Come with me." Chikara motioned for them to followed and started back to her friends.
Ti-lee gradly followed. Shikon kept a distance, but followed as well.

Orihime continued to follow Mai into the deepest part of the cave. "Whoa, it looks so small from the outside but...this is HUGE."
Mai laughed slightly. "Yeah, this has been a hideout for Elementals for years. We're still trying to figure out why Elementals are drawn here though."
"Drawn here?" Orihime repeated slowly then thought about how many Elementals were in the small town of Onigawa. She wouldn't be surprised if the whole population was Elementals.
"Yeah. That's why we need you."
"Me?"
Mai stopped then turned around. "Don't tell me you don't know you're the legendary Elemental..." she groaned.
"I know THAT. I just...Why me?"
Mai's expression turned solemn. "Because you're the only one. The person said to be born in times of crisis for Elementals. The one that has the most power...and is said to have another power only legendary Elementals have."
"I-I don't know what you're talking about," she told her, her hands darting in front of her body back and forth. "I can only control the elements."
Mai looked at her with a misplaced pout on her face.
Ryu and Sora ran up to the group.
"Finally caught up with you," Sora panted.
"Ryu-chan...We might need you more than we thought. A summoner like you...your dragons might know a lot about the past and how to make legendary Elementals reveal their power."
"Reveal their power?" Orihime repeated in an alarmed tone.
"What's going on here?" Sora asked quickly.
"She's not seeing it?" Ryu asked in the same rushed tone.
"What are you going to do to me?" Orihime asked hurriedly, backing away.
Ryu grabbed her shirt. 'Fear usually causes powers to reveal themselves so...' He looked around and found a sharp stone on the ground. Picking it up, he put it against Orihime's throat. 'Come on...'
"What are you doing?!" she screamed, feeling the cold weapon against her skin.
"Hey!" Sora shouted and tried to run towards them but was held back by Mai.
"Don't even try it," she told him when he looked to his book. "This is why we didn't want you here."
"So you could kill her?!" he yelled.
"SORA-KUN!!!" Orihime shouted in the same ear-piercing tone as when she was in Kisaki's arms.
Sora gritted his teeth. "Stop this!"
'Why isn't it working?' Ryu thought to himself. "Save yourself!" He let the stone go in.
Ayame followed Seishin to a nearby river. 'Wow, there's a river here and everything. It's like the perfect camping grounds...'
Seishin let out a small laugh.
"What?" Ayame snapped, already annoyed at his silence.
"The perfect camping grounds..." he repeated.
Her eyes widened. 'When did he...' "How the hell did you read my thoughts?"
He turned back towards her. "Cause I can read minds too."
She took a step back in shock. "Wh-Wha-"
He let out a loud laugh. "You didn't know Elementals could have the same power? Wow...you really do need help."
Her teeth ground together at the last comment.
"That's why Ryu asked 'What's your distance?'. He thought you knew as much as we do." He jumped a few rocks towards a rushing river.
"So there's more?" she asked after getting over her anger. She wasn't going to let this chance to learn more slip out of her fingers.
"More Elementals? Hell yeah," he told her, finding a fish. There was a moment of silence then the trout jumped out of the water, dead.
"Whoa, how did you...?"
"Tell it to jump out of the water then stop breathing," he commanded, pointing to another fish.
"How do you do that?"
He hand flung towards his forehead. "You really are clueless..." he groaned then proceeded to teach her how to use her power.
Mai laughed slightly. "Yeah, this has been a hideout for Elementals for years. We're still trying to figure out why Elementals are drawn here though."

Chikara came back around to see Ayame and Seishin. She stopped.
"Ayame-kun! I found some people." She called ,being only 10.
Ti-lee jumped out from behind Chikara and blinked. Shikon kept away.
"Ayame-kun! I found some people." She called ,being only 10.
Ti-lee jumped out from behind Chikara and blinked. Shikon kept away.
Ayame whipped her head around. "Wha-What?"
Seishin's smile disappeared. "Are they Elementals?"
"Why the hell does it matter if they are or not?! If they're orphans the least you could do would be to take them in."
"This is sacred ground. Don't stomp over your ancestors work."
Ayame's eyes widened. 'For being someone so cold-hearted...he actually cares about people a lot...' She then stopped, remembering he could read her mind and she couldn't read his. 'N-Not like that matters. You're still a cold-hearted freak.' She crossed her arms and he smirked.
"Orihime-kun!!! Chiksho!" Sora tried desperately to get out of Mai's grasp. She held firm. Her body didn't waver an inch. "How the hell can you be unfazed that?!"
Mai looked at him. "It has to be done," she whispered sadly. "They tell me so."
Sora's eyes widened. 'Great. I'm stuck in a cave with two psychos and my girlfriend who JUST accepted me as her boyfriend is dead. This is perfect,' he thought sarcastically.
Orihime fell to the ground, her eyes closed and her body limp. The blood began to stain her shirt as Ryu looked down in horror.
'She was supposed to stop it...now...'
"Don't worry, Ryu. It's to be," Mai said.
Sora turned his head. "Yeah, cause your CRAZY voices told you so. I think you need to go to a psychiatrist."
"You don't know what I do. In fact, you don't know anything about me. So why don't you shut your mouth and watch."
"You expect me to watch my girlfriend's death?!!"
"Oh, she's your girlfriend. Well this should be interesting. That's the first time THAT has happened. Ever since Akiyoshi 20 years ago, right?"
"Yeah, he was the best of the best," Ryu replied, getting up.
"Who is he?"
"The last legendary Elemental. He was gentle and kind and ruled nicely. Most people were happy under him and he chose a girl with bright blonde hair that was said to have shined like the sun for his wife. That was the first time a legendary Elemental had a family tie at all."
"Who was this girl?"
Mai laughed. "Only one of the BEST all-around sorcerers in history."
"Sorcerer?"
They both sighed. "Okay..." Mai begun to explain.
Orihime blinked. 'Where am I?' she thought to herself. She lifted herself into a sitting position, groaning. "Hello?" she called out.
No answer.
She stood up, staring at her feet. 'Why can I see my feet but everything around me is black?' She blinked twice. 'Just where the heck am I?'
"So Sorcerers are a subcategory?" Sora asked, wondering if he'd heard right.
"Yes. They're a subcategory of Pure Elementals. They use only the basic elements: water, earth, wind, fire, and thunder. Orihime and Monique are both examples of Sorcerers. Keiko, that was her name, was more like Orihime though in the fact that she could control all five."
"What about this Akiyoshi guy, what was he?"
"He was the greatest shapeshifter who ever lived."
"A shapeshifter?! Like Kionu?"
"Who's she?"
"She infiltrated the government's base to find out more about them. She's not here right now..."
"Well, she'll be very powerful then."
"Huh?" His head snapped up.
"Besides Legendary Elementals, shapeshifters are some of the most powerful," Ryu stepped in.
"Yeah, and him being a shapeshifter AND a legendary elemental...Wow. You had some REAL power on your hands."
"So what'd this guy look like?"
"In which form?" Mai laughed.
"Ha, ha, very funny," Sora retorted. "No, his normal form."
"I don't know. I don't think anyone knows. The only ones who really saw him are all dead."
"What about your parents? You had to get all of this information somewhere..."
"My mother died protecting me from the ring a long time ago. And my father died in the war."
"What war? What's the ring?"
Mai sighed. "I can't believe no one taught you this stuff. Okay..."
"Hellloooo!!" Orihime called out. "Is anyone here?! Hello!"
This time, she heard a whisper in response.
"What!?" she yelled. "Talk louder!"
She faintly made out 'Conce...'
"Hey! I can't hear you!"
'Concen...!'
"You're getting farther away. Hey! Come back!"
"CONCENTRATE!"
Orihime took a step back. She heard that one loud and clear. 'Concentrate, huh?' She closed her eyes.
'You didn't have to say it so loud...' A gentle voice of a woman.
'Nothing gets around in this place...' Probably the same voice that yelled at her.
A sigh. Probably from the first woman.
"I can hear you now! Come out!" Orihime called.
'We can't. You have to bring us.'
'Yeah, use your power OH legendary one.' A laugh at the end. Whoever that girl was was really starting to get on Orihime's nerves.
'Chiyuu-chan! It'll be easier the first time if she only calls out one!' That voice was faint. She could barely made it out, much less tell if it was a man or a woman.
'Oh, come on, Nii-san! Please...'
'No, come back here.'
The bratty girl grumbled something before Orihime heard footsteps.
She heard nothing more and decided to open her eyes. In front of her, a blonde-haired woman stood. Her hair was pulled back by a headband that looked to be the color of red mixed with pink and had ornate, gold stitching on it. Her dress was the same weird color with the same stitching. Her boots and fingerless gloves, however, were only the pink color. A bright smile lit up her face. "Konnichiwa, Orihime-chan," she greeted.
'How did she...? She even speaks...' A million questions began to spin around the 13-year-old's head. "How did you know my name? Who are you?" she managed to ask.
The woman laughed slightly.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing. It's just...I know your name because..."
"Don't tell me your telepathic like Ayame-kun...!"
She laughed even harder. "No, no. I know your name because I gave it to you."
Etsuyo glanced around at everyone. 'Sora-kun and Orihime-kun sure are taking awhile.' "I'm going to go check on those two. I'll be back."
Seishin's smile disappeared. "Are they Elementals?"
"Why the hell does it matter if they are or not?! If they're orphans the least you could do would be to take them in."

Monique sat there, joping she would see Kionu again.
Ti-lee stepped up and introduced herself,"I'm Ti-lee. I am an Elemental with lightning."
Shikon rolled his eyes,"I'm Shikon. I'm not an Elemental, but one of weaponary."
Chikara smiled.
Ti-lee stepped up and introduced herself,"I'm Ti-lee. I am an Elemental with lightning."
Shikon rolled his eyes,"I'm Shikon. I'm not an Elemental, but one of weaponary."
Chikara smiled.
Seishin rolled his eyes. 'Weapon Masters are a type of Elemental...good grief. More babies to teach.' "In the cave mouth you'll find everyone else. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm trying to teach this idiot next to me."
"HEY!"
He smiled and killed another fish via controlling its brain.
"You...what?"
The woman smiled gently. "You're my daughter, Orihime."
Her face lit up and she ran to hug the lady in front of her. "I never thought I'd see you again..."
She smiled. "Yeah, sorry about that." She was rubbing the back of her head when Orihime pulled away. "You see your father tried to protect me and..." She didn't finish. "Aiko looked after you, right?" she whispered, almost as if she was scared of the answer.
"Yeah, he did. But now he's..."
"Wagateru."
Orihime's eyes widened. "You know!"
"Yeah, I know about everything."
Orihime couldn't think of words. "But if I can see you then that means..."
"You're dead?"
"Y-Yeah..."
Her mom laughed slightly. "No, you're the next legendary Elemental. This is your second power."
Orihime looked up in shock. "Wh-What?"
"The ability to draw on the powers around you. That Mai girl can talk to the dead. She's a necromancer like Anzu."
"Anzu?"
"The young necromancer of the war. She was pretty strong too. Showed some good promise..."
"She died, didn't she?" Orihime guessed.
"Yeah, but not before delivering a girl."
Orihime's eyes widened. "Don't tell me that's..."
"Mai? Yeah, her name was Anzu's last words. Her sister then stepped in and became her foster mom. She had the same power as Anzu but wasn't nearly as skilled."
"Wait. If powers are passed in genes...then I must have the power of one of my parents."
"Yeah, you have mine."
Orihime's face lit up. "Then you can teach me right?"
"Yeah, I can. The spirits came to you, right?"
"Spirits?"
"The legendary elemental's power is always sealed away in keys. For shapeshifters their forms are sealed away." She laughed. "Akiyoshi's was huge..."
"Who?"
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure your friends will explain in due time. But we have only a little bit so I must teach you."
"Wait, before you start lecturing, what's your name Mom?"
"Keiko. Kirigami Keiko." She smiled, her eyes curving like upside-down u's. "Now let's get started."
"The ring was the original bad side?"
"They were a group of Elementals hell-bent on world domination. And they were ruthless. They'd do ANYTHING to achieve their goals. Even kill their own family in cold blood."
Sora's face crinkled in disgust.
"Sora-kun!" Etsuyo called out. "Where's-" She stopped mid-sentence. "Is that Orihime-chan?!"
"Etsuyo-kun..matte."
"What the hell'd you do!!? What's going on here!?"
"Wait, I can explain..."
"We had to teach her to use her second power. And if that meant killing her, so be it. But she'll be fine, the voices are telling me so."
"THE VOICES?! ARE YOU ALL FLAMING IDOITS!? YOU KILLED HER! YOU KILLED HER IN COLD BLOOD!"
"She'll come back," Mai said.
"'She'll come back'? What the hell!? Are you insane!?"
"I guess so," Ryu said, staying calm, a sly smirk appearing on his face, indicating he was messing around with them.
Etsuyo only gritted her teeth and looked at the limp form of her friend.
"HEY!"
He smiled and killed another fish via controlling its brain.

Etsuyo only gritted her teeth and looked at the limp form of her friend.
Monique heard screaming from the cave. She zoomed there and walked in slowly. She looked around. She saw Sora and Etsuyo. Mai and Ryu were standing there. On the ground was Orihime.
"Orihime-kun?! It that Orihime-kun?!" She yelped.
Chikara walked back to the cave with Ti-lee. Sjikon stayed back.
"So,Chikara. Whats your power?" Ti-lee asked.
"Invisibility." Chikara answered.
Ti-lee nodded and continued forward.
Chikara saw thecave come up as they rounded a corner. Chikara rushed in and saw everyone. Ti-lee charged in after her.
"Mai?! Ryu?! What did you do?!" Ti-lee loked Mai in the eye.
Chikara looked at everyone, totally confused.
"Orihime-kun?! It that Orihime-kun?!" She yelped.
Chikara walked back to the cave with Ti-lee. Sjikon stayed back.

Ayame and Seishin followed the group. Ayame gasped at Orihime's body. "Orihime-kun!" she shouted, running to her best friend's side. She looked up at Ryu. "What did you do?" she growled.
"Nothing," he said, still taking the situation coolly.
"Chiksho," she swore, then looked at her friend, attempting to heal her. 'Come on, Orihime-kun...Come on...'
"Hey! I get it now!" Orihime exclaimed, cuddling the small fire in her palm.
Keiko laughed. "Here," she said, pulling out a book.
"What's..."
"All Pure-type Elementals get specialty books. It strengthens the power of your spells. This was my old one but I'll let you have it since most of our skills will be the same. Miki should have yours for your legendary specialty. Your father trusted him like a brother and I'm sure he wouldn't let him down. Now I have to go...Good luck, Orihime-chan."
"Arigato, caa-san," she replied, hugging her mother one last time before finding herself back in her body.
"Orihime-kun!" Ayame exclaimed when she saw her friend's eyes flicker open. "You're alive!"
"Y-Yeah...I am."
"What'd you see?" Mai asked, interested.
"I..."
"Orihime-kun?" Ayame asked, concerned. "Are you okay?"
"Y-Yeah...I just..."
Seishin's eyes narrowed. 'I can't read her mind correctly...It's like...' "What happened?"
Orihime looked at him. 'Can't he read minds? Wait how did I...know that?' Her mind flipped back to what her mom said: 'That's the legendary Elemental's power: to borrow the powers of those around you.' 'Borrow the powers of...How do I stop it? It should be in the book...the one this Miki has...' "Does anyone know a Miki?"
Ryu's eyes widened in shock. "What the hell'd you see?"
"You know, don't you? Who is he? Where can I find him?"
"Just tell me who told you that."
Orihime looked around at all the expectant faces. "My mom," she whispered.
Everyone was taken aback. "But your mom is..."
"Dead? Yeah, apparently I can see dead people."
"Did you catch a name?" Mai asked.
"Keiko."
Mai, Ryu, and Seishin looked fazed.
"Did I say something wrong?" Orihime asked.
"There's no way that could be true..." Seishin started.
"Why? What's up?" Orihime continued to ask questions.
'Give her the book,' Mai heard through the shock of the room.
"Give her the book?" Ayame asked, reading Mai's thoughts. "What book?"
Etsuyo realized it immediately. "Ryu-chan, didn't you say you had a-"
"Book that was for another?" he finished. "Yeah, here." He pulled the book out and gave it to her.
Orihime snatched the book and opened it. "What is-?" she started to ask before the pen attached to it scribbled in the book. She dropped it in shock. "What the hell? It just moved!"
Everyone took a step back except Mai who crept closer to the small object and read what was wrote: "Mai, Necromancer, Apprentice."
"What?" Etsuyo asked. "Why would that be written?"
"I don't know but all the other names are crossed out now, except for two."
"Who?" Sora asked.

((im gonna act as tho moniques partents are really dead. monique never knew them. the parents she has right now are really just fake/foster parents))
Monique stood up. She snatched the book. She read thrrough the two names.
"Gogyou and Kata." She read aloud.
"Who?" Chikara asked.
"My paretns." Monique remembered, not even knowing they were her Real Parents.
Kyori had followed Monique. Kyori looked up at Monique.
Gogyou and Kata are your real parents. They did what they had to do for you and Kionu.
Monique looked up. Everyone was staring at her.

"Here, give that," Etsuyo took it from her. The pencil moved yet again as those names, too, were crossed out. "They..."
"Were crossed out?" Orihime asked in alarm.
"What does that mean?" Sora popped another question.
"They're dead," a voice from behind the group announced.
Everyone turned to see a blonde-haired girl with elf ears. Her blue eyes seemed to brighten her already golden hair that was hid beneath a hat that looked to go to a sun dress while she wore a t-shirt and capris.
"Who are you?" Orihime asked the question everyone was thinking.
The girl pulled off her hat. She looked to be about 23. "My name is Chiyuu Elven," she told the group, then shifted her gaze to Orihime. "I'm your aunt."
Orihime's eyes widened. She'd remembered what she heard: 'Chiyuu-chan! It'll be easier this time if she calls out only one!' 'She's...My aunt? Maybe I really AM seeing dead people.' "You...You were there with the dead people. How...?"
Chiyuu laughed. "Cause I'm a necromancer," she explained. "An expert necromancer."
"Expert?" Ryu asked for once.
"OOHH. The know-it-all doesn't know this, does he?" She laughed at her own comment. "Well then I guess I should tell you guys. There a four levels to Elemental classification. Level 1: Apprentice."
Orihime remembered what the pen wrote in the book: 'Mai, Necromancer, Apprentice.' 'So that's what it meant...'
"...Level 2: Journeyman. Ryu, Seishin." She turned to the two of them. "You are Journeymen. Level 3: Expert. That's what I am. And finally Level 4: Master."
"Who are the masters?" Sora asked. "They can teach us, right?"
"There are no masters currently alive."
Orihime's eyes widened. "Is that why all these names were...?" She opened up the book and flipped through it, finding multiple names with 'master' in the last column.
"Those people are all dead," Chiyuu told her. "But I think all of you are in luck, for two reasons."
"How can we be in luck if everyone who can teach us is dead?"
"Do you not understand the meaning of a necromancer girl? I can raise the dead. Reason 1."
Everyone was in shock.
"Reason 2..." She pointed her finger at Orihime. "You have a Legendary Elemental in your midst."
Ayame looked at her friend then turned her attention back to Chiyuu. "Why would Seishin-kun be a Journeyman? He killed a fish by controlling its mind!"
Orihime stared in shock at the silent boy next to her.
Chiyuu just laughed. "Wow, the quality of Elementals really has fallen," she mumbled. "Well, for a Mind type, more specifically a CONTROL Mind type, that's pretty pathetic. An expert controller can make people kill their friends, their family, anyone really. But they can't control for very long."
"WHAT?!" Orihime shouted, standing up. "What about the other side? Do they have one?"
Chiyuu looked at her with a face mixed of solemness and seriousness. "Yes. They have a master."
Everyone was in shock.
((what do u mean "team up with them"? im confuzzled!))
Monique looked at the Chiyuu girl.
Kyori looked hopefully at Monique.
Ask about a water Elemental teacher. Maybe your father.
Monique spoke up,"Is there a Water Elemental who could train me?"
Another person walked from the shadows and stood by Chiyuu.
"You are?" Ti-lee asked.
"I'm Diison Wentiry. I have something fopr Monique." Diison intriduced and handed Monique a wrapped pachage.
"What is this?" Monique took the package.
"Open it." Ti-lee engcouraged.
Monique ripped the cardboard paper into shredds. She stared at what sat in her hands.
"How do you know my name?" Monique asked, looking at the book that read Monique Osailon, Master Water Elemental
"Monique Osailon, I am your cousin. I am here to reveal your past." Diison answered.
"What past?" Monique asked.
"Your great-great-great grandmother was a Master Water Elemental. This was her spell book. You were named after your father's great-great grandmother,Monique Osailon. She is not in Etuyo's book because she was not believed to be a master because she never showed off her powers. You have inherited those powers. You must find the power deep inside you." Diison explained.
"I am? So, that means-" Monique looked up at her cousin.
"That means, with training, you will be the next Water Elemental Master." Diison added.
Monique flipped through the book of ancient spells. She found one that caught her eye. She read in her mind, not thinking it would do any harm.
Raintessa, raintessa. Show me the path. Raintessa, raintessa. Show me your wrath.
A strong wind whipped through the air and it started pooring rain and thundering. The earth shook slightly as the strong rain pounded the ground. A flood built up and lashed out in waves.
Stop! Monique commanded mentally.
It imediatly stopped raining and everything was normal again.
Monique looked arund frantically.
"Wa-was that me?"
Diison nodded,"Yes. It was."
Monique gace Diison a look that said'Really?'.
Diison nodded again,"Even reading it in your head works."
"Now you tell me." Monique rolls her eyes.
Chikara's jaw dropped.
"Wha-what just happened?"
Ti-lee held up a wide smile and turned to Monique,"Do it again!"
Monique shook her head,"No way, Ti-lee."
Shikon walked into the cave, dripping wet.
Monique held back a laugh.
Ti-lee laughed out loud.
Chikara chuckled.
Kyori looked up at Monique.
I had no idea.
Monique smiled and laughed.
Monique looked at the Chiyuu girl.

Orihime's face brightened at the power of her friend. She knew that specialized Elementals had stronger powers in the beginning and even more so when they got their spellbooks, but she also knew with training she could be stronger than anyone else in this room. Her mom had told her so. So she laughed with her friends and decided to keep it a secret until the battle actually began.
"Alright," Chiyuu started, "8:00am sharp everyone's training begins." She then turned to Orihime. "Except your's. Your's begins at 7:00 sharp and if you don't wake up I WILL wake you up. That's it and...good night!" She began blowing the candles out in the cave while everyone settled down. By the time she got back, everyone was asleep and Diison was gone.
Kionu woke up and felt hypnotised. She blinked and saw only darkness. A shrill voice came from the shadows.
"Lead us, strong warrior." The voice hissed.
Kionu looked bothe ways and panicked,"Wha-what do you mean?"
"Lead us from the shadows, brave warrior." It hissed.
Kionu felt almost immediate to say yes,"Why?"
"Our leader has died. Kisaki lives no more." Another voice, deeper this time, shrilled.
"Who are you?" Kionu asked wearily.
"You are in the Shadow Realms, shape-shifter. We are a dark team with no leader." The origainal voice hissed.
Kionu looked direstly into the shadows, seeing glowing eyes and endless potential.
"I will lead you." She said, not knowing what she was staying.
"We are KARIN." The deep boice called again.
Kionu nodded and walked toward the shadows, darkness engulfing her. Shrill laughs crept from the night. Kionu kept walking, feeling greater power...
Monique woke up early, still stunned by the night before. She looked around as she stretched. She got dressed in a blue t-shirt and navy jeans. She combed out her hair and tied a small ponytail on the top of her head. She whistled for Kyori and Inu. The dogs followd as she trudged down stairs. Chikara and Senkou were waiting for her. They all walked out and into the yard.

Orihime sat in front of her aunt, a pout on her face. She always hated bookwork in school and now that it was summer vacation she thought she deserved a little break. Reading out of this book was definitely not her idea of 'fun'. "What am I supposed to be learning from reading this?" she groaned.
"Just keep reading," Chiyuu told her, sitting by her with one eye open to talk to her. It then went closed.
"What's going on here?" Mai asked from behind the group that had left the cave.
"I'm reading this fairy tale and am supposed to be picking up something but it doesn't make since at all," Orihime answered.
Etsuyo walked over to her. "That doesn't look like a fairy tale," she said. "There's diagrams and writing and directions."
"Don't tell her that," another one of Chiyuu's comments accompanied by one eye. "She needs to learn to see beyond what's in front of her face. It's true it's harder to see those diagrams for the legendary elemental, but no ordinary elemental can see the fairy tale, and no ordinary person can see anything. To them it's just a blank book."
Etsuyo looked up. "Really? Then why are you..."
"Just keep reading Orihime. You'll see it soon enough."
Orihime groaned and balanced her chin in her hand. 'This is going to be a long day...'
"So what's the purpose of the book?" Mai asked.
"Long ago it was to tell who the next legendary elemental was, but that was before it started skipping generations. Now it's no longer used since there's usually a master necromancer who can find the last legendary elemental easily enough to teach the new one."
"But you were right there with mom and that other person!" Orihime complained.
"Ghosts move around," Chiyuu told her, still concentrating. "Being a necromancer takes skill and time but I will find them so keep reading! I need your help to bring them here."
Orihime groaned again and continued reading.
There was silence for a short while before Chiyuu's eyes flashed open. "Alright, that's everyone," she said, stretching.
The page flickered in front of Orihime. 'What was...?' It flickered again and she saw a small paragraph revealed. She read it. Her face brightened as she went. 'So thats how...' "Sumimasen," she said, laying the book down and running back to the cave, practically trampling over Sora.
"Hey, Orihime-kun, how'd it go?"
"No time to talk gotta run!" she yelled quickly.
'What's that about?' Sora wondered and decided to find the rest. As he came upon the scene, he saw Chiyuu stand up.
"Alright, I've gathered as many masters as I can..." She looked around and saw Monique. "Here's the thing, I'm not a master necromancer so I can't find everyone like your great-great-grandmother but I do have Anzu and she IS a fairly skilled girl. She might be able to find her."
She got a nod in response.
Orihime ran back onto the scene. She pulled the pen out and wrote: 'Chiyuu, Necromancer, Expert.' She then slid the pen in the slot and touched the name, a white light glowing around her and a different symbol appearing beneath her. Not the common star but instead a sun peaking over the clouds with stars surrounding it in a circle along the outside. "The power of wisdom, the power of light. Give me strength so I can lead the fight." It glowed even brighter and then disappeared into the symbol on the ground.
Chiyuu looked at her. "Ready?"
"Yeah."
They both sat down, touching hands with each other while their other hands were planted firmly on their legs. Not a word was spoken.
Orihime found herself in that same dark place, but this time a huge group was in front of her. "Wha-What?! We have to bring ALL these people back!?"
Chiyuu looked at her. "Hey, I tried to make it easy. Most of the people here haven't been dead for long, so they'll be easier to raise."
Orihime gave her a look that screamed are-you-insane?! "I don't think..."
"You have just as much power as I do. I'll take half and you take half. And let's do this."
Orihime looked at her wearingly but nodded all the same.
Chiyuu gathered them in a circle, commanding them to hold hands. Orihime followed. "Alright, repeat after me...Holy power of light..."
"Holy power of light..."
"Grant us that we may use your power..."
"Grant us that we may use your power..."
"And show us a path..."
"And show us a path..."
"That leads us down the road of light..."
"That leads us down the road of light..."
"Now and forever."
"Now and forever."
There was a blinding light and everyone disappeared.
Etsuyo stared in shock at the mass number of people coming back. 'I can't believe they raised all these people...'
"Is that...?!" Mai started.
Ryu jumped to the front of the group as well. "Akiyoshi-sama?!"
The blonde-haired man turned around at the sound of his name. "Yeah?"
Ryu and Mai were paralyzed in shock. "H-H-How did...?" Mai managed to ask.
Chiyuu laughed. "Let's just say the two of us have a lot in common. Eh, Nii-san?"
Now even Sora was shocked.
Orihime looked at her aunt with a bewildered gaze. "Nii-san? But what...?"
Akiyoshi walked over to her and picked her up, roughly of course since she was off the ground and in the air for at least 10 seconds. She screamed. He laughed and caught her with ease. "Hey, Orihime-chan," he said.
Orihime was on the verge of passing out while everyone else was just in denial and disbelief.
"Wh-Wha-WHAT?!" Mai exclaimed. "D-Di-Did that really just...?"
"Happen?" Ryu finished.
Akiyoshi laughed. "You didn't tell them did you, Chiyuu-chan?"
Chiyuu blushed unbelievably hard. "Uh...no."
"Bu-Bu-But why'd you have to throw me in the air? What if I'd fallen and cracked my head open and died and then there would've been no legendary elemental and everyone would've...What's so funny?"
Akiyoshi was snickering all the way through it. "Cause I knew I'd be able to catch you."
Orihime pouted and jumped out of his arms, brushing herself off. "W-Well just don't do it next time."
Mai gawked at her. "Do you know who you're talking to?!" she yelled.
Orihime looked up. "What do ya mean?"
"Th-That's the most amazing elemental who basically ever lived!"
Orihime turned around to look at him and his gentle face. His spiky blonde hair looked almost sharp enough to cut an apple open with. "He doesn't look that amazing to me..."
He snickered again, his blue eyes shown at her. A look that discomforted Sora. 'Is he trying to hit on her?! A dead person?!' "I don't care if you are the last legendary elemental or whatever...I already have dibs on her!" he spoke up.
Ayame whacked him on the head. "What the hell's your problem?! He's not hitting on her!"
Sora glared at the two of them.
Akiyoshi got a sly idea. 'This'll be fun, just to watch him squirm...' Behind his cloak, on his belt loop, he touched a brown key, one labeled 'bear'. In seconds, a huge bear was in front of them. Orihime screamed. Sora stood in shock as the bear sniffed his head so hard he felt like his hair was being pulled out. "I-I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!" he finally yelled when the bear opened its mouth.
The blonde appeared in front of them again, laughing so hard Orihime thought he was going to die that way. Well, figuratively. "That was perfect!" he laughed.
Sora glared at him. 'He did that just to...' He gritted his teeth. "You wanna fight?"
"Sora, no!" Orihime called. "You saw what he can do; you won't win!"
"I have no intention of fighting with you," Akiyoshi replied. "Just having a little fun. You probably picked up on that, didn't you? You're not as dumb as you look."
"Why'd you put the last part on there?" Sora asked angrily.
Akiyoshi laughed again. "For fun."
Chiyuu smiled. "The reason he was so informal with Orihime is because he's her father," she answered everyone's mental question.
Monique looked through the dead people, hoping to maybe see her father and mother.
Two came out of the distnace in front of Monique. They looked warmly at her.
"Who-?" Monique asked.
"We are your parents." Kata said.
"Really?" Monique looked up.
"Gogyou and Kata Osailon." Gogyou nodded.
"Where is Kionu?" She aske.
"She is now the leader of the Dark Side." Kata voice drooped.
"WHAT?!" Monique's eyes widened.
Gogyou nodded.
Chikara and the other three walked up.
"Who are they?" Ti-lee asked.
"Gogyou and Kata Osailon." Gogyou repeated.
"I'm Ti-lee. This s my brother Shikon,that's Senkou, and she's-" Ti'lee was cut off.
"Chikara Rayleaa." Kata nodded.
"How do you know my name?" Chikara asked.
"Your mother was my sister Chikara. You are Monique's cousin. Diison is your brother." Kata explained.
Chikara's jaw dropped. Monique stared at her parents.
"Who-who was my mother?" Chikara asked.
"She was Andinoa Amashu." Kata nodded.
Chikara smiled halfly and looked back at Ti-lee. Ti-lee was just as astonished.
"Why hadn't I known?" Chikara asked.
"Your parents sent you away to keep you safe. Just as we did with Monique and Kionu." Gogyou explained.
Chikara nodded.

Sora, Etsuyo and Ayame took awhile to get over their shock.
"Th-The last legendary Elemental was ORIHIME'S DAD?!!" Mai asked, shock eminent in her voice.
Orihime looked at her father who smiled warmly at her. Tears of joy welled up in her eyes as she hugged her father.
A brunette came up behind him, touching him on the shoulder and whispering, "Kionu has decided to lead KARIN."
Akiyoshi looked seriously at him. "Okay. We need to train everyone here to be at least their level, Miki. I trust you and Etsuna can take care of your children. Ryu will most likely be key."
"Of course. What about Ayame?"
Akiyoshi looked at the young girl. "Seishin can take care of her. He should be a fast learner."
Miki nodded then looked down at Orihime. "Good luck," he whispered to her before heading off to Etsuyo and Ryu with a red-head trailing behind him.
Orihime looked back at her father. "It's bad, isn't it? Kionu was a shapeshifter like you..."
Sora came up behind her. "Shapeshifters are supposed to be the strongest, right?"
Akiyoshi looked down in reverie. "Yes. And they have an expert shapeshifter on their side too."
Their eyes widened. Chiyuu stared back at him. "It's Tona, isn't it?"
Akiyoshi looked back at here, a serious expression on both their faces. "Yes, it is."
"Who's Tona?" Orihime asked.
Akiyoshi looked down at his daughter. "Your uncle."
Her eyes got even bigger. "No way..."
"He'll teach her, it's obvious," Chiyuu told him.
"I wouldn't put it past him."

"We have to fight him?" she asked, scared of the answer.
"Yes."
Her hands flew to her mouth. 'There's no way...why did all my family...why?' "Why do I have to?!"
Her father looked at her and saw her expression. 'This'll hurt her...' He looked past her at Sora. "You said you would protect her no matter what, right?"
Sora's eyes widened but he nodded. "Yeah."
"Then I need you to do something...and it won't be easy. Luna chose you, didn't he?"
Sora was taken aback in shock. "Why are you telling me this?"
"Because there's something only Death Masters can do, that we need you to."
He swallowed hard. "If it's for her I'll put my life on the line."
Akiyoshi smiled. 'He'll be perfect for her. Someone so much like Keiko...' "This task will be difficult, and there's a high possibility you will die."
Sora's hands tightened into fists. "I'll still do it."
"I need you...to go into space."
Sora's knees practically gave out. 'Go...into space?' "But you can't breathe..."
"I know. But only you can do it...with Tsubaki now in KARIN."
"Tsubaki-chan joined KARIN?!" Ayame asked.
"Yeah, she's in on it with them."
Everyone was in shock. Even Monique and Chikara had given their attention to this matter.
Sora swallowed hard. "Okay."
"NO SORA! If you die I won't-"
He kissed her and she stopped fighting. When he pulled back he whispered into her ear, "I have no family, but I do have friends, and I have you. And I won't let you die...no matter what. I promised."
"No..." she whispered back, tears in her eyes.
"If you can do this, you'll have mastered the dark element. You have 2 days, that's when KARIN will make their move. Go around the world, gather as many Elementals as you can. There are bases in New York City, San Fransisco, Venice, Rome, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Gather up everyone. We're counting on you."
He nodded, pulling out his spellbook.
"Wait Sora-kun!" Etsuyo called out. "Take me with you."
"No. If I die, I don't want to kill anyone else..."
Orihime cried silently. 'If you die...?' "Dad? Can't you do anything...?"
Akiyoshi bit his lip in thought. 'Shanghai and Hong Kong are close...and maybe that experience will...' "Don't go to Hong Kong or Shanghai. I'll do that."
Orihime turned back towards him, grateful. "Thank you," she whispered. Then turned back to Sora. "I won't forgive you if you don't come back," she told him, "I'll smack you over the head in the afterlife."
He laughed. "Okay." He smiled at her while his eyes shown of regret. "Sayonara," he finished, Luna appearing beside him.
"It's still early enough. Let's do this."
Sora nodded and disappeared in a second.
Orihime bit her lip to hold back her tears. 'Aishite'ru,' she told him silently.
Her father touched her shoulder. "I'll take you with me." Her face lit up. "Anzu," he called.
"I'll bring her back," she nodded then sat down in the same meditating position Chiyuu had.
Everyone turned back to their own conversations.
"Dad, who are you...?" She stopped when she saw her mom appear. "Mom!" She ran and hugged her.
Anzu got up, rubbing her shoulder. "Geez, that took a lot out of me..."
"Can you still teach?" he asked.
"Yeah. I've got Mai-chan."
He nodded then turned to his wife.
"I know. I know." Keiko picked up Orihime. "Let's go."
"Chiyuu-chan, let's move," he commanded.
"But I should stay here and-"
"No. We need you. And Anzu will be sure to teach Mai enough in one day to be able for her to summon everyone else. Let's go."
Despite the negative answer, Chiyuu smiled and nodded. "We gonna fly?"
Akiyoshi laughed. "That would be the smart choice," and for the first time, Orihime saw her father's keys. There had to be at least 50 keys on it.
'Whoa, I can't believe Dad has that many forms...'
"I told you his was huge," Keiko whispered into her daughter's ear.
She laughed. "You don't say..."
In seconds a giant blue jay appeared before them. "Get on."
"You can talk?!" Orihime exclaimed.
The bird laughed. "Of course I can. I'm human aren't I?"
She blushed as Chiyuu and Keiko laughed. "Come on." Her mother jumped with her up onto the bird's back. Chiyuu followed. "Alright."
"Hold on tight," he warned before flapping his wings and they were in the sky, flying towards Shanghai.

Kionu huffed and saw two villianus figures approach her. The girl had blonde hair and green eyes like a serpant's. The boy was a burnette with a smile like a devil's.
Kionu's eyes widened.
What have I gotten myself into?
Monique stood back.
"Who will teach me?"
Gogyou stepped up,"I will teach you all I know."
Kata stood back,"I wish I could train Kionu." She shook her head.
Another figure stepped forward.
"Chikara Rayleea." It called.
"Andiona Amashu?" Chikara asked cautiously.
"Yes. I am here to train you, my daughter." Andiona replied softly.
Chikara nodded.
"What about me?!" Senkou asked.
Moinique over heard Ayame. She walked over and stood next to her friend.
"Ayame-kun, are they talking about my sister?" Monique asked.
Diison appeared next to Andiona. He smirked with amusement as Senkou yelled.
Senkou looked at Diison,"Really? Your that immature?"
Diison huffed,"You already know your stuff. You just need to be trained how to go farther distances."
Kionu stepped forward,"And you are?" She smirked.
The blonde stepped up and spoke,"I am Sune-ku." Sune-ku hissed, her fangs showing bright as starlight in the darkness.
The brunette came forth and growled,"I am Akki."
"What can you do?" Kionu asked challengingly, swiftly becoming a grough tiger.
"What can you do?" Kionu roared again, this time more impatiently.
Sune-ku smirked,"I am a summoner. I can summon any serpant I desire." Sune-ku hissed longly and passionately.
A black snake slithered down and out of the darkness.
Kionu roared and nodded approvingly.
Sune-ku directed the snake away.
Akki stepped into a fighting stance and spoke deepily,"I am one of weaponary." He slung out a scarlet pitch fork and dabbed it near Kionu's face.
Kionu nodded,"Impressive." She morphed back to herself.
Kionu's eyes widened.

Sora could feel his power drain as he traveled above the Earth's atmosphere and felt it's gravity pull him in.
"Stay strong!" Luna encouraged, "Hurry and don't lose your breath!"
'I don't know if I...' His lungs burned and he longed to take a breath. He saw the outline of North America through the clouds and was suddenly grateful to his 5th grade world geography teacher. 'Thank goodness I paid attention in the one class that counted...' He began to zoom back towards Earth, his body shaking as he re-entered the atmosphere.
Orihime laughed in amusement as they flew above the ocean. She saw dolphins jumping up out of the water to catch breaths. It looked like she had just stepped into an action film where the love scene happens while the two are on the boat in the middle of the ocean. "Dad, how much farther to Shanghai?"
"We should get there before sunset. Once we hit land we fly a little bit more inward."
"Okay."
She was silent and listened to Keiko and Chiyuu talk, with occasional inputs by her father.
'Thank goodness for time differences,' Sora thought to himself as he flew down. 'Oh, crap. At this rate I'll...' "Why the hell didn't I have the common sense to aim for the ocean!" he screamed as he headed towards the ground.
"Don't worry so much!" Luna scolded from beside him. "At least you had the common sense to come at night."
Sora noticed for the first time it was nighttime. "How...?"
"Time difference. You're on the other side of the world, boy."
He laughed to himself as his decent slowed down, landing with grace on the concrete below him. "Now only to-"
"Who are you?!" a girl from behind him asked, her red eyes shining like rubies in the night. Sora felt a metal object next to his throat.
"I'm..."
"An Elemental," a purple-haired girl from behind the red-eyed girl said.
"Yeah...I am."
"I'm Samantha," she introduced, holding out her hand.
The red-eyed one dropped the metal object which Sora later realized was a gun, for the first time also noticing her black hair. "I'm Sarah, we're sisters."
Sora shook their hands. "I'm Sora."
"Japanese, huh?" Samantha guessed.
"Yeah, I-"
"I can read your mind. You don't need to explain."
He nodded. "Do you-"
"I said you don't need to waste your breath. Follow me."
'Gee, someone has attitude. Are they all this bad in America?'
Samantha slapped him.
He fell to the ground in pain. "What was-"
"Don't think things like that. I'm not normal and she sure as hell doesn't need projecting on," she said, pointing to her sister.
"Sam..."
Samantha only looked at Sarah. "Should we trust him?" she asked.
"Shouldn't you know if you can read my mind?" Sora asked.
Samantha looked at him. "I'm not very skilled..."
"I know someone who is. If you come with me-"
"Why do you want us?" she asked, her expression protective. "What have we done? We didn't ask to be this way...to be thrown away by everyone who knew us."
His eyes widened. "Aren't parents supposed to-?"
She grabbed him by the collar. "What parents? Haven't you ever heard of war, boy? Have you?!"
"Yes, but-"
"There's no BUT in it! We didn't ask to be begging for food! We didn't ask to be criminals because we we're starving!" Tears welled up in her eyes as she dropped him and she folded her arms across her chest. "We just want to be normal..."
"Sam." Sarah touched her shoulder.
"If you have no families I can take you back to Onigawa."
"Onigawa?" Samantha asked.
"Yes, it's the town I came from. Do you know where the other Elementals in this town are?"
"Right beneath you," she replied.
"What?"
"We live in the sewer genius," Sarah stated frankly. "It's the only way to escape the cops."
"Then why do you not smell like trash?"
Samantha laughed. "That's why we take deodorant and air fresheners when we raid stores."
'Wow, these people are-'
"Sam, we don't know what to do about dinner. There's no more bread..." someone from under the sewer lid said. "Who is he?"
"He says he's gonna give us a better life. Gather everyone up. I think we can trust him."
The boy nodded and ducked into the polluted conduit again.
Sora then saw at least twenty children come out, all about the age of Sora and his friends. Some were even 15 and 18. 'Why's a 13-year-old leading this group instead of the older kids?' he thought.
"Because I can make everyone go away," Sam whispered to him. "I make them go somewhere else."
'She's that level...?!' Sora regained himself then thought for a moment. 'If it's 6:00pm here...it'll be too bright in Onigawa...so we head on to New York. Maybe they'll be in a better situation.' "We're going to New York to gather more people. We might stay a night there then head to Italy."
The children all nodded. Luna appeared beside him. He climbed up his shoulder so he could whisper into Sora's ear. "Let's not chance space this time since it'll be dark all the way to New York. Let's just do this through the troposphere."
Sora laughed. "Alright."
Luna commanded everyone to gather into a group then had Sora touch Samantha. "Guide the way," she said and off they went.

Kionu walked into a room illuminated by torches. 'Should I really be agreeing to...' Suddenly, she felt as if someone was watching her. She changed into a jaguar and roared, "Come out!"
Tona walked out with a white-haired man trailing him. Kionu again felt the same sensation. She morphed back into her human form. 'What's going on!' she panicked, 'I can't control my body!'
"Will you lead us?" Tona asked, a sly smirk on his face.
"Yes," she immediately said, without wanting to. 'Stop this!' She then turned to the others accompanying her. "You may leave."
They obeyed.
Tona began to laugh like an evil person. The white-haired man released her.
"What's going on-!" she immediately tried to shout but was silenced by a claw to her throat.
"Will you? Or will you not?" he hissed into her ear.
'Damn it!' she thought. "Yes."

The dark passageway of KARIN headquarters had an evil aura hanging over it.
*ring, ring*
"Talk to me," the black-haired girl said.
"Target spotted," the man on the other side said.
"Stay in pursuit."
"Shall we fire?"
"At your will."
An evil laugh. "Arigato gozaimasu, Kionu-sama." The line went dead.
Kionu flipped the phone closed.
"Aren't you taking to the job nicely?" Tona asked in an evil hiss.
"Shut up," she snapped, then sat down in a chair towards the center of the room.
Tona watched her with malicious intent.
"Ha, ha, ha! I can't believe something like that would happen between the two of them!" Chiyuu exclaimed.
"I could barely believe it either!" Keiko laughed.
Orihime just watched the ocean below zoom past them. 'They keep gossiping and gossiping...' she thought to herself as the crystal blue waters gently swayed beneath her. She didn't even know what they were talking about, much less WANTED to know. Then she saw two blue birds in the distance. "Dad?" she asked, "What's that?"
The massive bird beneath them turned its head, its black, beady eyes taking in the scene behind them. "That's..."
Keiko stood up. "A summoner."
"Hang on," he warned and picked up speed, sending the wind flying past their faces.
"Don't lose them!" Ao called out.
Aka nodded and pulled out his spellbook. "Destroy the earth with fire from hell!" Thousands of meteors began pouring on the group up ahead.
"Chiksho!" Chiyuu swore, "How are we supposed to get out of this one?"
"I'll stop it," Keiko told her, standing up. "Orihime, my book." Orihime gave it to her. She flipped through the pages until she came across the spell she wanted. "Gentle gale, peaceful wind. Release your fury in blades that bind. Wind blades, sealing style."
The invisible blades rode on the wind to the enemy behind them.
"They have an all-around Pure with them!" Aka yelled, avoiding the almost invisible yet potentially deadly attack.
"We have to take the blonde in pink out!" Ao told his partner who returned a nod. "Kaka! Take them out!"
The bird under him nodded and zoomed past the other one Aka was standing on.
"They're gaining on us Dad!" Orihime yelled above the wind.
"I'm aware of that!" he yelled back, trying to get the most speed he could possibly muster. "But they only have one on them and I have three! We'll always go slower if we have the same speed."
Orihime bit her lip. She had to do something. She remembered what Monique did:
Raintessa, raintessa. Show me the path. Raintessa, raintessa. Show me your wrath.
A strong wind whipped through the air and it started pooring rain and thundering. The earth shook slightly as the strong rain pounded the ground. A flood built up and lashed out in waves.
Stop! Monique commanded mentally.
It imediatly stopped raining and everything was normal again.
'If Monique-kun could do that...then I can do this too!' "Kaze!" she called. "Deadly Disappearance."

Monique huffed and she looked around. She wished she could help Orihime.
Kata looked up.
"We must go." Kata ordered and morphed into a giant eagle.
"How-?" Monique started.
"I am much better than you sister. Hop on!" Kata ordered them all.
Monique hopped on her mother, along with Gogyou, Chikara, Senkou, Kyori, Inu, and Ti-lee.
Shikon stayed back.
"Off to Shanghia!" Kata beated her wings and soared through the clouds in seconds.
Shikon looked around and sauntered over to the group of others.
Monique's mother soared high over everything. Monique sat down with Kyori and Chikara.
"When will we get there?" Senkou grounded.
Gogyou looked at him,"When we get there."
Monique looked over the side of Kata and saw the blue jay.
"There!" Monique poinmed down.
Chkiara looked over.
Inu whinmed and Kyori barked.

Blood stained Kaze's white shirt as she came back to Orihime. "Opps...I think I might've overdid it."
"Ya think?! You just took him out it one blow." She watched as the birds both fell into the ocean below.
"Hey! Is that...Kata-san?" Chiyuu called.
Monique called back.
"Monique-kun!" Akiyoshi slowed down so he could meet up with the other group.
"There on the move. There's a second group too," a rough voice informed through the receiver on the black cell phone.
"Can you move?"
"No, Ao is out of it. I'm not sure if we can get out of this ocean..."
"Very well, try to make it to the coast closest to Shanghai."
"Hai, Kionu-sama."
She flipped the phone closed. "What now?" she asked Tona.
He smiled slyly. I'll handle this. He pulled out his own phone and dialed a number that could only be on speed-dial.
"Hello?" the other voice asked. The tone at which he spoke made Kionu wonder if he was at a spa.
"Kouga-kun, we need you to take care of a few rats. Then of course, clean up two more."
The man on the other side sighed. "Mataku...Yoshi, wagarimasata."
"I know I can count on you," he replied then hung up.
"Who-?" Kionu started.
"Just an old friend."
"What the hell?" Samantha asked. "THIS is New York City? It looks like a dump!"
"Apparently we're exactly where we need to be, then," Luna told her, finding a small alleyway.
"Do we always have to go to the ghetto?" Sora asked in an annoyed tone.
"Just because you didn't live in it..." Luna began, jumping up on a nearby cardboard box. "...doesn't mean everyone else doesn't."
Sora rolled his eyes. The last thing he need now was a lecture.
"Hey! Is anyone here?!" Luna called.
A small flame began burning. "Who are you?" the boy holding it asked, "Child services, social services, the orphanage down the street?" he ended in horror.
'What the hell? What kind of kid asks a question like that?' Sora thought in disgust.
"We're here to recruit you. To save you. Come with us back to Japan."
The group of kids, at least ten this time, all looked at each other. "Okay," the boy replied, who seemed to be their leader. "I'm John by the way."
"Sora, and this is Luna," he said, pointing to the black cat next to him.
"Are you a summoner?" a timid girl next to him asked. Her blonde hair reflected the light from the flame into Sora's eyes.
"No. I'm a pure-type."
The girl's eyes widened. "Then are you the legendary elemental?!"
"No I'm...I'm her friend."
The girl's face brightened. "I'm Alexandria, but you can call me Adri," she introduced, sticking out her hand.
"Nice to meet you, Adri."
"Sora, right? So are you gonna take us to Japan?"
"Yeah. We're gonna have to head to Italy first, hit Rome and Venice. Do you guys by any chance have some food?"
"No, we're all out," the red-haired boy said.
Sarah laughed. "No problem." She armed her gun. "Sis, how about we do a run-by shooting?" she asked.
"Hey! We don't want to be-"
"Sure," Sam replied. "There's a store right down the street. You guys wanna come with? We ARE your best hope for food..."
The kids all did a rally cry.
"Tch, fine," Sora agreed. "But don't make a big scene."
"We won't unless we have to," Sarah told him, cocking her other gun. She slid them onto her belt which had holsters on them. She looked like a cross between a cowgirl and a city girl. "Let's do this."
The group took off towards the store.
"Ya think?! You just took him out it one blow." She watched as the birds both fell into the ocean below.
"Hey! Is that...Kata-san?" Chiyuu called.

The group took off towards the store.
The children raided the vacant store, climbing all over the shelves. The candy aisle was cleaned out first, then the bakery.
"Hey, has anyone come yet?!" Sarah called to Sam, grabbing a pop tart box off a nearby shelf.
"They don't even know we're here!" Sam called back, still guarding the door.
"Alright! Let's not take chances. Everyone...evacuate!!!" she yelled and the children began to swarm like ants over a mound out the door.
Sam heard a siren in the distance. "They're coming!" she screamed. "RUN!!!"
Everyone took off.
Sora knew there was only one way out of this. "We have to go to Italy, NOW!" he yelled. "Gather together!"
Everyone stopped in a group as they repeated the actions they did in San Fransisco. They disappeared in less than a second.
The group found themselves in a small, cottage-themed town. "This is..." Sarah started.
"Venice," Sam finished.
"How...?" Adri started.
Luna breathed hard. "Talk about pushing your power to its limits."
Sora laughed. "You alright?"
"I'll live."
"This is certainly a cozy town..." Sora said, breathing in fresh air after being in the polluted area of New York.
"Hold it!" someone from behind them called.
Everyone turned.
"Oh it's just...SARAH?! SAM?!"
"SANDY?!" they both exclaimed, all three of them hugging each other.
Sora's sweat dropped. 'What the...?'
Sarah turned around. "This is our cousin, Sandy."
"You're Italian?!" Sora asked.
"Yeah, she went to boarding school here. No way, I can't believe we met up with you again..."
Sandy put her rifle on her back.
'Another trigger-happy girl...no way...' Sora mentally groaned.
"Do you know the Elementals here, Sandy?" Sam asked.
"Yeah, we live in that cottage over there," she pointed. The stone walls around the flower-filled yard made Sora feel like he was in colonial times. "Come on. I'll give ya'all a tour!"
Kouga stretched, walking out of the diner. 'After lunch...I could go to the Great Wall of China! No...I have to stay in Shanghai...Sa ne. I guess I'll just wonder around a bit.'
A small bunny sniffed his foot.
'There's no way there could be bunnies in a town like...' He stared intently at the bunny, taking over its mind. 'Just like I thought...this is a summon. Take me to your owner,' he mentally told the animal. He followed it as it began to hop away.

Kata cawed and flew down to the other group, beating her wings to slow down. Gogyou looked over the side.
Monique saw Akiyoshi,"Akiyoshi-kun!" She hollered as they pulled closer.
"Who?" Chikara asked.
"Someone. I seem to know them..." Monique shook her head and looked at the approaching jay.
Kyori looked at Monique,I like your mother.
Monique smiled at her companion.
Inu barked and sent a flame roaring through the air, showing the others on the jay they were there. Kyori barked too, the force of her bark forcing the flame higher into the sky.
Chikara sighed and looked at her dogs. She was actually related to Monique. That made her feel a little better.
A girl shot out of a cave, riding a giant serpant. She hissed as the over-grown legless lizerd slither through the open sky.
Monique gasped at the summoner and noarrow her gaze at the girl.
Chikara huffed and sat back.
Senkou pouted.
Gogyou snapped at the girl.
Kata didn't loose focus, but zoomed out of the way, getting closer yet farther from Orihime and her group.
Inu barked again, this time unleashing an uproar of ember into the faded blue sky. Kyori barked twice, forcing the flame higher and higher into the sky.

Keiko noticed the serpent summoner. "They just don't give up, do they?" She pulled out her book and flipped to the section labeled 'fire' in red font in the upper-right-hand corner of the pages. "Burn the land to the ground, fear not the unrecognizable land, destroy with might, that which cannot be saved with light." Spears of fire appeared over the entire area. "Ningete, Kata-kun!" she shouted before letting the spears rain down.
"Lie, Lie! Lie! Watashi wa anata no uso o kiite hoshiku nai!" The sleek, glossy hair of the teenager shown in the light behind her.
"Watashi wa, kinisurunai!" the other girl shouted back, her appearance a mirror image of the others. "Naze wareware wa idō suru ka?!"
"Anzen ni taizai shi!"
"'Taizai shi' datto? Nani wa taizai!? Orera wa taizai kesshite!"
The other girl growled then lashed back. "Watashi wa...gambatene!"
"Kimi ga akiraka ni...FEIRU!!"
The other girl was taken aback. "Teme..." she growled as they began fighting.
"Oi, OI!" a guy from behind them called out.
"Ittai nani no yō, Kuromaru?!"
"Yamete ga iarasoi!"
The two Japanese girls stared at each other for a moment before letting out a 'humph!', crossing their arms, and turning their backs on each other.
Kuromaru sighed.
2nd line= i don't care! -- why do we have to move!?
3rd line= to keep us safe!

Kouga cautiously made his way toward a cave, picking up thoughts from inside but taking no action. 'Yamete ga iarasoi!' he heard. 'Japanese girls...two of them. And a Japanese boy...what are they doing here?' As he neared the cave even more, he spotted a girl coming out. He ducked behind a tree.
"Usagi-chan! Itte kimasu!" a female said-the girl still in the cave.
"Orosai, Kuma-chan! Omae... Omae to omae no tedibae! Chodo...OROSAI!!"
Kuma growled then answered, "Fine! Leave!" She then proceeded to run back inside.
"I WILL THEN!!!" Usagi shouted back and ran towards town.
Kouga snickered. 'An elemental all alone? Wow...this day just keeps getting better and better...' His cell phone went off. "Mataku..." he mumbled as he answered it. "Hai?"
"Sune-ku's been ambushed. We're sending Ao and Aka to help. Clean up the mess," Tona commanded.
"Mataku..." he repeated again and sighed. "Hai." The phone snapped shut.

Kata swooped away. Monique flipped through her book.
I need something. Anything! She thought.
Kyori barked and the silent sound wave sent the flaming spears closer to the serpent summoner.
Ti-lee rose her hands above her head and quickly struck he fingers to her knees. She repeated the movented and lightning grew from the sky and down toward the summoner.
Sune-ku only smirked and hissed,"Dockueki! Hitto! Hitto! Kiba!"
The serpent beneath her swerrved from the spears and lunged violently and the jay bird, attemping to sink it's venomous fangs into it.
Kata cawed and swopped away from the serpent. Monique fiddled through her spell book and found a spell that looked appealing.
Monique took a deep breath and repeated the words,"Shake the sky, shake the sky! Strike the oponent! Lash! Thrash! Beat it to the ground!"
Gogyou swayed his hands and swirled the clouds above. A heavy rain started to fall, peircing the serrpents back.

Akiyoshi kept his distance and Keiko flipped her book closed. She looked down at her husband. "I think they can handle it. We have to hurry," she told him, staring at the sunset. "We have to reach Hong Kong tomorrow as well."
Akiyoshi nodded. "We leave."
Orihime protested. "But what about Monique-kun and Chikara-kun and-"
Chiyuu stuck her hand over Orihime's mouth. "What about the fate of all the elementals? Let's just hope your BOYFRIEND pulls through."
Orihime shot her a glare.
"Let's move, nii-san."
Akiyoshi flapped his massive wings as he made his way towards Shanghai.
Orihime shouted a farewell to her friend and felt guilt-stricken for leaving her to fight the summoner.
Sora felt exhaustion tug at him as he lay in bed. 'I have to get back to Orihime and everyone else tomorrow...and I still have to go to Rome...' He rolled over. 'What are you doing right now, Orihime-kun? I want to know...I want you to be safe. But I'm not there and...I...' Visions flashed into his mind-visions of death and murder. His eyes flashed open. 'I don't want you to die like my parents,' he finished.
Orihime laid down in her father's back. 'Shanghai? Hong Kong? The fate of the Elementals? None of that matters if...if we can't get back to Onigawa alive.' She turned slightly, noticing a red streak in the night. 'What is...?' She glanced over at her mother, sound asleep. Her gaze turned to her aunt. Asleep in the same manner. Worry then filled her eyes as she turned back to the direction she saw the streak. "Dad? Did you see that..?"
The bird's head turned. "See what, Orihime?" he asked back, his voice gentle.
She shook her head, thinking she must've gone crazy. "Nandemonai."
Aka flew in on Ao's bird. "Are you sure this is the best idea?" he asked his partner.
"Just kill the kid and anyone else who tries to interfere," the blue-haired man answered back. "Then we can get back to our normal lives." His glove snapped on his wrist.
Aka looked at him with a worried expression. "Yeah, a good outlook for you. I'll just be sent out on another crappy mission."
Ao laughed at him. "That's why you work your way to the top," he retorted, a smirk appearing on his face when his head turned Aka's way.
"Gee, thanks for the pep," he replied sarcastically.
"Think fast!" Ao yelled suddenly, Aka's head whipping forward.
He saw a huge blue bird. "What the..?!"
Ao laughed. "Welcome to the world of the third Elemental war. That's Akiyoshi Elven..." he paused for a second, "the legendary elemental."
Aka's head bobbed up and down. "I know, I know. I just thought...he wouldn't be that large."
Ao laughed yet again. "Hey, people can jump time and space instantly. Why can't huge birds exist?"
Aka shot him a did-you-really-just-say-that look. "Whatever, let's just finish this."

Ayame shot a thought to Tsubaki. She nodded and wings appeared on her back but almost instantly disappeared. Another nod was exchanged between the two of them before their expressions became solemn.
Etsuyo despairingly tugged at the ropes, not really caring if she got free. She wanted to know. She wanted to find out who she murdered. "Who?" she finally asked as Ugoki walked by.
Ugoki gritted her teeth, a motion visible to Etsuyo. "My parents," she said before walking away, leaving Etsuyo to stare after her wide-eyed.
'Come on Akio, what's taking you?' Ryu thought hurriedly, sneaking another look from behind the tree at the scene unfolding before him.
"Ryu-chan."
He jumped, turning around. "Akio-kun, mite."
The medium-sized dragon looked past his owner. "Is that..?"
"My sister? Yes."
He looked back at Ryu. "What about the blonde? Is that the other person your father spoke of?"
Ryu looked shocked before looking again himself, for the first time noticing the blue-eyed blonde. "But Nee-san said...that she was Orihime...or something."
Akio gave him a 'duh' kind of look as Ryu's face lit up. "We have to get that girl the other book."
"You don't have to tell me twice," he told him, lowering his back. "Hop on."
Ryu did what he was told.
The dragon gathered a large breath before flapping his wings and flying into the sky.
Ugoki looked up. 'What the hell..?'
The helicopter moved into a position to attack the dragon, its guns poised.
Ryu threw a knife into the windshield, sending large cracks across it.
Akio continued his ascension while Ryu jumped down.
Etsuyo looked up in horror.
Ryu was laughing as he hit the ground. "Don't be so scared Nee-san. I AM an Elemental you know." He bit his thumb and wiped the blood on the dragon tattoo. "Veni, vidi, vici," he whispered, his eyes changing into dragon slits while his whole body also went under a transformation into a small dragon. He roared a sentence to Akio in dragon talk: "Etoimos."
Akio released his long-held breath, the fire consuming everything beneath him.
Etsuyo watched in horror at the approaching fire. Dragon Ryu smiled and released a shield that covered everyone in the area from the blast. The FBI grabbed a few Elementals and began running, not being able to see the invisible shield.
